So let me start this off by saying everytime I go to this pharmacy it's an issue. Today's experience has completely changed my mind.I worked with Ana, & she was absolutely amazing. I had gotten a new insurance, which is always at least a half hour to get done. Than just came from the doctors so I figured I'd be there at least 45 minutes- an hour. Nope. Ana came over, saw me & my toddler were sick & he was crying. She added my insurance. & checked us out. She was sweet, & kind. Patient. & you could see she truly cared & felt bad for us. Honestly, I can't believe she works at this CVS. From being forced to come inside when I had covid ( September 2020) because they refused to take my insurance card through the drive thru (dumbest rule ever) & having the window slammed in my face, numerous times of getting attitude from people to having the best experience I've had at ANY pharmacy EVER! Ana you truly are amazing & I hope you are appreciate your job because you are a good person. You made my week a million times better & so much less stressful. The worse part for me about getting sick was always coming to the pharmacy, not this time. I cannot say enough good things about you. I really hope to see you again someday! Thank you again for being such a good hearted person. I hope you see your good karma comes back to you 100x over! The world needs more of you<3.. CVS keep this girl & give her a raise!!!!

Doctor's office faxed 10 scripts, they had 1. Pharmacist got snappy and blamed the Doctor's fax machine. Waiting to talk to her took forever. I had to go back a second time and they still didn't have one. Not a good way to treat my 90 year old Mother.

Most incompetent group of jerk offs I’ve ever dealt with. Waiting over 3 days for an antibiotic to come in. The day it says it’s supposed to be in I call and the ignorant woman on the phone tells me that the order just came in call back tomorrow and see IF the prescription came in. It takes a day to go through some totes and find a box of pills? Go anywhere else that here.

The pharmacy portion of this CVS is abhorrent at best. Often the drive-through line is into the parking lot, the whole time on the phones is at times 20 to 30 minutes, and it is a hassle to get prescriptions filled, especially in a reasonable amount of time. This has become more and more prevalent the past few months. There are not enough staff working at this pharmacy, the staff are getting burned out, which is causing them to get frustrated with the customers which is in turn causing the customers to become frustrated as well. CVS needs to do something with this pharmacy. I do not recommend it if you do not have to use it, there are other good locations in town.On a positive note, the front end store part of this pharmacy is very nice.

Multiple times I have received text messages informing me that my prescription was ready. Upon driving to the store, the staff tells me it is not ready and will be 30 minutes. It's always 30 minutes. Today, my husband had this happen again. Immediately I checked the website which also said his medicine was ready. Then, I called the store and found out it is indeed ready. This all happened in a span of minutes after him being told it will be 30 minutes. The staff and "pharmacists" were all just talking and complaining to each other as this was all going on. Maybe if they actually checked for the meds my husband would have his pills so he can feel better. I have already started the process of switching pharmacies because of the repeatedly incompetent CVS pharmacy staff. It's a shame because the front store staff are mostly courteous and helpful. They claim the messages come from corporate. How would corporate know if a medication is filled unless the pharmacy actually marks it as filed or not? I would give this place a 0 star if I could.

This cvs is horrible. The pharmacy anyway is horrible, not front end. The pharmacy lady with the black curly/wavy hair, you know who u are, is always miserable and rude. They message u telling u your meds are ready and they usually are not ready in my experiences. The store blames this on corporate. It's not corporates fault. Having a family member who works high up in corporate I know this to be false. Cvs bought and merged with one of the biggest insurance companies, Aetna. Cvs screwed up the "transfer of power" on their end and Aetna is floundering to meet cvs, unresonable and abundant expectations and time lines using cvs applications that are inferior to what Aetna was using. The pharmacy line is more often then not ridiculous on both the drive thru and indoor pharmacy areas and if u get there on the dot at lunch or closing, 98% of the time in my experiences u will be ignored or told to come back. I've been to other cvs in another county and it was alot better there. Wondering if all the inadequacy at store level is just this particular store. If u can get there I recommend going to Wegmans pharmacy, if not maybe u would have better luck with Rite-Aid, but the local Rite Aid has issues with answering calls, nowhere near as horrible of a pharmacy in my opinion though.

CVS has to be the worst pharmacy out there always a long wait just to be treated rudely by their employees and hopefully they have your medicine ready on time but most of the time it takes days. calling back and forth to the doctor that they should be making I didn't think CVS could get any worse but every time I go there it is worse the cashier literally slammed the window shut I said I was going to complain to a manager she said she don't care that's the type of establishment CVS has become.

Pharmacy staff is terrible. Drive thru takes forever to get through. Takes them damn near days to fill a basic script. They're the worst!!!!

CVS pharmacy in Carbondale is very handy with good hours. The only thing I would say is like some other people have said the people at the front desk will kind of ignore you and talk to each other unless you pipe up. Unfortunately society and the job market means that there are a few people working that actually care. Hopefully enough people complain where management sees this and does something about it. It could be as simple as having a small talk to explain that the customer should come first. But all in all they had a good selection of things and the prices are very fair.

This is an awful pharmacy. The staff messes with your prescriptions from refusing to fill something to profanity against me and my family. They lie about medication being in stock and treat you like your nothing. I've been laughed at and told that they can control if or not they will give your your prescription. They short you on pills and then tell you that you're abusing them and they they never misscount. They are rude and have no care for your health. Was told that they gave my prescription to someone else or they lost it- resulting in me not getting mine for 2 weeks and I only got it because I kept calling. These people need to be trained to care for humans. I'd really like an email back regarding this. This store is corrupt- all you have to be is look at the reviews on the store to know this is not just me and my family receiving this treatment

No help. When my sons prescription was wrong. They were no hope and the lady that answered the phone acted like I was an inconvenience for calling.

It is advertised that the pharmacy was closed 1:30-2:00pm for lunch. While this is highly unprofessional that a major corporation like CVS cannot adequately staff their pharmacy to stay open thru lunch, and multiple ppl need to take a lunch break all at the same time instead of staggered like 99% of other companies, I arrived at 1:25 and was in front of the pharmacy by 1:27. The bars were down so I was just trying to read the sign and look at my phone bc I knew I arrived before 1:30! Someone angrily shouted at me "we are closed until 2 for lunch". I responded back "I thought you didn't close until 1:30?" To which there was no answer.I asked to speak to the store manager as at this time it was still not 1:30! She said the pharmacist in charge was back there, Felicia, and it is her call and if she is aware they are closed before 1:30 and that I was yelled at thru the bars, there was nothing she can do.This comes on the heels of one of the pharmacy techs saying my son's prescription wasn't there (he had a 104 fever with strep and we came right from urgent careand were told that he NEEDED them today) and we would have to wait until tomorrow bc they close at 5. It was 5 on the nose and we had been line for over a half hour! I had to beg another worker who ultimately had no problem finding my son's script they just needed to reconstitute it and I am sure the first tech didn't want to have to deal with that . The staff cars more about their lunch and closing time than their patients and that is sad.We will be moving all prescriptions for our family of 7 plus my grandma's on Monday.

Literally the worst pharmacy I have ever seen. It's always a half hour wait minimum whether you go in or are in the drive thru. The staff will ignore you most times in the drive thru. They also had 6 employees on shift and not one tried to help the poor woman who was working two cash registers. I will never ever go there again. Word of advice to anyone in need of medications or prescriptions go elsewhere.

It took forever for me to get a human on the phone. When I finally did I was given attitude and told my child's 3rd prescription was being filled as I was on the phone. When I got there a lady named Lisa with black curly hair was very rude. Her voice is the one I heard on the phone. I was given two of the three and left. when I realized there was only two I went back through and she said I told you there was only two ready the other was being filled. I told her I was told all three would be ready. she told me the system is messed up. I said I spoke to a human and I would have someone pick it up. She changed her attitude and told me it would only take one minute to scan. If I don't have to I won't be going back to this cvs.cvs.mi shTOLD you there was only two ready. Then told me it would only take a min and her attitude changed once I told her I would have

If i could give a zero I would for the treatment I recieve from the condescending pharmacist with the black hair to the straight up attitude I get for expecting them to do their jobs. We all hate our jobs and they chose to work with people when they clearly don't have people skills. I wish I could give it a zero I've been going there a year and I can't deal with them anymore. To Rite Aid I go since they pushed out all the mom a pop pharmacies that know me by my face not just a name on the screen.

We are in the drive through prescription line for 15 minutes with nobody behind us. It's 1330, 5 cars in front of us are taken care of. It's our turn and as we pull up, they promptly close the blinds and play the recording that they aren't available because they're at lunch. There was literally NOBODY behind us! Just couldn't finish one more order that would have taken 2.5 more minutes. Customer service BLOWS! I know I don't ever have to speak to the actual Pharmacist and I also know there are more people than 1 working behind the pharmacy counter, so what's the difference? Crazy.

The pharmacy staff is the most ignorant people I ever encountered. I had a medical emergency and I was in line to pick up my meds and they shut the window in my face to go to lunch. There is 8 workers there and they all go to lunch at the same time. Does that make any sense to anyone? Well it doesn't make sense to someone having a asthma attack .

I had an accident at work. They said I needed Ibrophuen at the urgent care. CVS had it ready for me. Also they give my family 40 percent coupons in our email and they always honor them.

I spent 30 minutes in the drive thru. CVS sent a text saying all prescriptions were filled and ready. That was not the case . This store is horrible.

After years of questionable service, I finally switched pharmacies. Whoever answers the phones in the pharmacy is rude and has no customer service skills. Every time I would need to renew my script, I would use the CVS app to have them send the request to my doctor and every time I would have to call my doctor to have them send the "correct" script even though it was sent from CVS to them. CVS likes to blame the patients and doctors for their incompetence. When I asked the pharmacist repeatedly how my doctor is to blame if he's getting the script from them, she changed her answer several times, never taking the blame. If my doctor tells you to keep a note on a script, keep the note!

The pharmacist was very rude. I have shopped at CVS for over 30 years and I have never encountered such poor service. Just to get to speak to a person requires a ridiculous amount of prompts and wait times. I will no longer use CVS as my primary pharmacy or shopping needs.

On 11/24/21 my 88yo mother called for open hours for 11/25/21, Thanksgiving Day. She was told 10am-2pm. I told her I would pick up her prescriptions on my way to her house for Thanksgiving dinner. When I got to the pharmacy at 1:38pm they were closed. The sign in the window said holiday hours were 10-2 as my mother had been told. When I called 11/26/21. I asked to speak to pharmacy manager who of course was not available. In speaking with the girl who answered phone she stated " they decided to close at 1pm so we could spend time with our families. No one changed the sign because we were so busy". When a store advertises holiday hours they should be adhered to. Who arbitrarily decides to close early because it is a holiday? Especially since they were "so busy". This is not the 1st time we've had trouble at this pharmacy. I would rate it a 0 if that were an option. I think corporate should look into this poorly managed store and make adjustments. Worst CVS I have ever dealt with. If it weren't so convenient for my mother who still drives though limited I would have her change pharmacies.

This is the slowest and worst CVS I have ever used, Four hours to fill a prescription after it was called in, I go pick it up and only half was filled and was rudely told I would have to wait another 30 - 60 mins for the other prescription. I'm done with this CVS I would rather drive further for some place better than keep giving them my money

After years of being a customer I will be switching pharmacies. The level of terrible customer service and rudeness from the pharmacy is mind blowing. I cannot believe they allow the employees to speak to people the way they do. They really need an overhaul in the hiring process. The only reason I’m giving two stars is for the actual Pharmacist I have spoken to were very helpful.

If you enjoy the pharmacy attitudes and them shorting your kids medicine and doing not a thing about it than go here. I can't wait to call corporate on the type of experience I received at this pharmacy. Never again will I be back and the whole store seems to have miserable people working here. I wish I could give it 0 stars.

I am absolutely appalled at the lack of customer service at this location. I have had multiple issues with my medications not being received despite having visual AND verbal confirmation from my doctor. In addition, one time my doctor sent a prescription over and when I called CVS to pick it up, I was told it wasn’t there and the woman who answered gave me a lot of attitude about it. I then found out it was filled under someone with the same name as me! I didn’t receive an apology, only more attitude. I have worked in customer service and I currently work in healthcare and this is absolutely mind-blowing behavior. Save yourself time and stress and go to a different CVS or pharmacy all together.

I have used CVS since 2004 for all my meds and I just recently switched because of the very very poor customer service at the CVS pharmacy in Carbondale, Pa I never seen just complete ignorance of pharmacy Techs. Never had a huge problem with a actual pharmacist just pretty much the pharmacy techs. To call and ask a valid question on a prescription, they hang up phone before u get the question out of your mouth, to lazy to look at the computer regarding med to give a accurate answer. Or like my partner that just needed help to find something in pharmacy isles that Dr prescribed. That they stood there and said u don't see sign and then laugh at him while nobody in pharmacy line and they had time to help. As far as the pharmacist they are right there standing hearing how these pharmacy techs talk to their customers and say nothing. There is 2 pharmacy techs that seem to ruin it for all the other staff at pharmacy that creates these poor reviews, understanding how busy covid19 ect but so many of the time as far as rude there are no customers at pharmacy. Wrote headquarters nothing was done or response back. Worker shortage is never excuses when your dealing with people health and well being, maybe these 2 pharmacy techs young and stupid think that they are untouched because of work shortage. Or maybe they just didn't grow up having good manner r taught to them or good work ethic, regardless u are dealing with human beings health when u take these roles and when your burnt out or u hate ur jobs dealing with people health and safety then u need to get out of the job

Worst pharmacy personnel I have ever experienced in my life. There is no professionalism or desire to help anyone. After reading reviews Cvs should seriously consider hiring new staff.
