I love coming here to get everything I need for my “zoo”. I just recently started a saltwater tank and have come back many times to ask questions and each time everyone is more than happy to help and give advice! This store is reasonably price, has a lot of stock and the staff is very knowledgeable.Not only is the staff knowledgeable, they are so friendly! I needed a lot of fish education and they were there to help. The made me confidant and very helpful.I look forward to going back time and again.

Stopped in only with questions about setting up a tank in the future. The staff member who helped me was very knowledgeable and helpful. They never pressured me into buying anything and even recommended I hold off until I am ready. That definitely earned my trust and business. Prices are what you would expect from a small business but worth it to get to feel like a person by the staff and not just there to take my money.

Lots of pets!Wet Pets goes beyond the aquarium, but let’s start with that. There are so many aquariums that it is just a maze of delight to anyone who walks through. The colors, the fish…relaxing just to watch. You can find just about any fish including the most exotic ones you have ever seen. I have friends who have traveled from out of state to hit this location.Not only do they have fish, they also have many friends! When you enter the building you are greeted by some beautiful birds! Heading into one of the side rooms, you find hamsters, parakeets, bearded dragons and more!Cages and accessories are readily available for purchase as well!Stop in at 3695 Washington Rd in McMurray, PA. You will be amazed at this place!

I went there with my kiddos & Doc was the 1st person I saw he Greeted me, asked of their was anything he could help me with. At the time I only had a few questions about my fish tank filter and I was letting my kids pick out a few fish for our new tank. Doc was a tremendous help in getting us fish and helping us with any questions we had about what could or couldn't go in the tank together. He's a very knowledgeable man. Very friendly as well. Also Jared checked us out and chatted and very friendly. I absolutely felt welcome & like I was coming into someone's home when I stopped here! The people are just so friendly and funny and made us have a great experience! Thanks so much guys

Super helpful staff, large variety of products. Will definitely come again for all my fish needs. They have a selection of tanks, substrate, ornamentals, as well as both freshwater and exotic saltwater pets. Their aqutic plants are also decently priced.

I love fish and aquarium specialty stores. For those of us in the south hills, it gets absolutely no better than Wet Pets. I stopped in to pick up some food for my Green Spotted Puffer and just like everytime that I'm in there, I'm amazed at the selection of fish and aquarium supplies available.I'm very particular about the quality of the products I buy for my fishy friend. I have no questions about the quality of products sold here. On top of that, the staff here are extremely knowledgeable about fish and fish care. My GSP is small now but when I move him to a bigger tank, I plan on planting live plants to help with the nitrogen cycle. The staff here were able to advise me on which plants would be able to survive in a brackish tank. One of the pictures I have included is a very, very large Puffer they have as a pet in the store who is a testament to how well they take care of their fish. The other is a Puffer I had never even heard of and was excited to see in person.TLDR: Lots of variety for both marine and freshwater enthusiasts, large selection of chemicals, tank dress up, food sources for both carnivorous and standard fish, and a friendly, knowledgeable, staff that will help you navigate and advise you on the right products for you whether you're a novice or an experienced fish owner.

Beautiful store with beautiful animals and aquariums. In store they probably have anything you would need for your hamster, aquariums, reptiles, or birds. If they don’t have it in store they will special order it for you. The staff is very friendly and helpful as well. It is clear the animals in the store are treated well.

This place is a dream for anyone with a fish tank!! They have such a vast variety of freshwater and salt water marine life. Small, medium, feeder, everything. And the staff is beyond knowledgeable about what is best for the fish in the tank as well as the plant life in the tank. 10/10

Incredibly clean and we'll put together store. I stopped in at lunch and was completely surprised by how nice the store was. Display tanks were kept clean free of hard water spots. The filtration system is quiet. The staff were helpful and friendly. I was very impressed. Will be back.

I am very disappointed. They are not near me but I happen to be in that area. I bought two snails for my fish tank and they were dead within 24 hours. It's absolutely not my water and I'm not driving back out there to get a 75% refund.

So where do I even begin?! I can't say ENOUGH GREAT THINGS about Wet Pets! All of the staff here are EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE, and some of the FRIENDLIEST people I've ever come across at a pet store! It's also the CLEANEST pet store I've been to! There's always people cleaning out the tanks, as well as cleaning the cages of all the land animals! You can TELL that ALL of the animals here are cared for and healthy! (Happy too!) I purchased SEVERAL plants here as well, and they are absolutely BEAUTIFUL and HEALTHY! They have BEST selection of ANYTHING aquatic, and I think that their prices are VERY REASONABLE! Way less than any local Pittsburgh pet stores! Again... Such a GREAT PLACE to go, even just to look around. My 4yr old daughter actually asked to come here for her birthday! If you live far away like I do & are contemplating coming here, I can PROMISE YOU IT'S WORTH THE TRIP!! Love you Wet Pets!

I absolutely LOVE this store for their beautiful variety of saltwater and freshwater fish. The tanks are so clean, the fish are incredibly healthy and they are all of a decent size. The store itself is clean and it has other pet needs as well. The crowning jewel of this establishment from the people I met are Frank and Doc. Doc actually was why I used to go to Elmers. He has so much knowledge about the fish he helps to care for. He helps his customers make good choices about who to add to the tank, etc. He is a great guy. Frank was also very knowledgeable and also a great human. Both gentlemen were extremely kind and caring humans who talk to you like a person, not just another customer to shove out of the store. I will make sure I attend when these two are there. The other employees that I briefly met were also very welcoming and kind. All in all, this is my go to aquaria shoppe. Also of note, they have actual fish medication (my main reason for going) that all the Petsmarts and Petcos, Aqua World, etc. don't have. I spent over an hour and a half here with two young kids..... so that is saying something. :-)

I went in to look at bearded dragons and ended up failing in love with a Guinea pig. I had to convince my partner it was the right choice. I keep calling to make sure the one I wanted was there I spoke to Jared he was super nice. I also spoke with Andrew, pat and brain all very nice and none ever seemed bothered by me asking questions and making sure the one I wanted was available till I could get back to the store to purchase her. I got her and Jared answered even more questions for me he is amazing!!! Once I got her home I was concerned how she was acting because I’ve never owned a Guinea pig so I called and pat helped me again super nice never seem annoyed everyone is amazing. I called yet again and asked for Jared he is so helpful! Thank you all for being so kind and helpful I appreciate it very much!

This is an amazing place! Make sure you have at least a hour to look around because you won’t see tanks and fish like that anywhere else in Pennsylvania.They have a large pond area with koi, goldfish, water lilies, water lettuce and anything you would need for a pond. Every fish I bought survived due to the expertise of the staff. At no point did I feel rushed or pushed into buying something. I highly recommend these guys.

This leopard gecko is priced now at $99.99 this snakes eye leopard gecko is beyond under weight for its age, it came from a bad breeder. To where the gecko has an under bite, deformities. A dropped tail that’ll never come in proper. And the best they could do was $75 ?? They don’t give their reptiles the proper diet nor do they get their reptiles from a good breeder. They put money above their reptiles, if I could give a negative review I would. They can’t even mist the gecko properly because it has stuck shed on its toes, it’ll most likely lose its toes due to shedding. They couldn’t care about the health, bad business. Even talked to Pat. She knows and doesn’t care about a deformed abused gecko. Hope this doesn’t get deleted.

I drove about 1.5 hours to get there and it was 100% worth it! The tanks were clean, the fish were healthy, and the employees were friendly and knowledgeable! They also had a fantastic variety of fish and I felt like the prices were fair. I will definitely be coming back!

Has an absolutely incredible collection of fish ranging from saltwater to freshwater. Its collection is comparable to the Pittsburgh aquarium. All the staff was very knowledgeable and helped through the process of making a tank. They had hard to find food brands like Hikari and had many aquatic plants and rocks.They do sell birds and reptiles too, but I was disappointed in the care for the birds. The cages for some were not appropriately sized and the macaws and cockatoos out in show cages are not cared for as much as I would hope. Even though this place does not specialize in birds its a shame they are setting this standard for shoppers.

I came into this store as a complete beginner with an old canister filter that I acquired and very little knowledge on where to go from there. The employees there took time to look over my filter and teach me about it, all while giving me some honest and sincere pointers about its age and wear. Because of their knowledge and expertise, not only was I able to make educated and non-pressured purchases, I was also able to leave the store with so much more knowledge and confidence as I prepare to set up my first tank upgrade. I will certainly be returning in the future as I continue my hobbyist journey!

Great local fish store. They are one of, if not THE highest quality fish location in the south hills area. They carry loads of speciality supplies and equipment as well as a beautifully maintained live fish section. They also carry a nice selection of aquarium to rock and drift wood. I purchased a driftwood piece which ended up working out very well in my portrait aquarium as well as 2 nerite snails.Unfortunately the prices on their supplies are in my opinion a bit high but it’s expected with a smaller chain like wet pets and there were some rough looking fresh water plants, but overall a very nice experience.

Good store, wonderful staff. The staff is extremely knowledgeable with all things aquatic. I am a regular at this store and I buy fish here knowing that they will not spread disease throughout my tank. Wet Pets continues to do a great job.
