I take my beloved dog here for boarding when I go on trips that I can’t take her with me and they are excellent. They are attentive to any special needs your dog has and I have called to check on her before and they are responsive. They also offer grooming which is a plus so she comes home fresh and clean.

Cannoli, our Golden-doodle always looks amazing after spa days! It is hard to find a groomer who actually knows how to maintain a doodle's hair long and mat free! Most seem to feel the remedy for mats is to completely scalp them. Cindy's staff have always treated our dogs with the utmost care and professionalism. I would highly recommend Cindy's for all your doodle doggie needs!!!

We take our pomsky Lola here, and they are so good with her! They love her and treat her as their own, and they are excellent at dealing with her anxiety. I would recommend them to anyone with a beloved pet!

Cindy’s had no problems taking my special needs deaf boxer last minute for the thanksgiving holiday. What a lifesaver for an out-of-towner! My pup was clean, well taken care of and happy when I picked her up. Many thanks to you and the staff for taking care of Holly.

Cindy's place is great. I take my mini schnauzers there and they look so beautiful afterwards. The boarding comes in handy too. The groomers are very pleasant and listen to all requests. Highly recommended! AAA+++

I used these people for boarding for six years. They overcharge every opportunity they can. For example, they only allow pet pick up between 8:30am and 11am on Saturday. If you do not pick up exactly at 8:30am , they charge you the full day. This last Saturday I picked up at 10am and they charged a full day for the 90 min my dog was there.This has been going on for six years. So I'm guessing this place has overcharged me $300 to $400 in total over the years.Then there is the issue of lost harnesses, toys and blankets. Everytime I pick up my dogs something is missing.I'm done with this business.

I cannot say enough good about this place. They love my dog nearly as much as I do. I love that they take the extra time to care about what he cares about. I drive an hour before and after work in order to have him attend daycare here. And they run things like a daycare should be run. With activities and interaction with the dogs. It isn't simply stuffing him into a kennel for the day with a doggie door to a concrete pad to go potty on, no they take the time to take him out to play several times a day. And everyone is so friendly. He loves going there now. And he has separation issues but he now gets excited to go, even getting mad at me on days I don't take him. Thank you from Ruger and I.

I normally do not make reviews but it is important for people to know about our bad experience with them.....Since they took my first review down here it is again....I am extremely disappointed in my experience of boarding my dog for a week at Cindy's Smiling Sammy's Boarding and Grooming in Avis. They did not follow the requests stated on the contract of giving my dog 2 treats at the end of the night. I ask that they use my bowls for food and water since he his a large breed and is used to the higher food dishes. I was horrified at the condition my dog was in when I picked him up on Sunday. He had lost approximately 25 pounds and is sickly due to his stay there. I was never contacted that he was not eating or drinking. When I contacted them throughout the week they never said anything. I would definitely not recommend taking any pet you care about to them because they do not care.

Highly recommend against sending you’re pets there. This business will refuse to be accountable or responsible for an action that is their own fault. They seem to struggle most with keeping their word based on time. Look at their other reviews, you can see how nasty they are with customers.Terrible experience, pointed out a simple error and the lady working register became very very combative. I simply was looking to hear sorry it was miscommunication… instead I got “How old are you” “You’re generation is stupid” “I make $58,000” (her trying compare income, hoping she made more then me… she didn’t and that hurt her ego very clearly). After the lady at register said all those nasty comments she said for me to just leave so I said okay… she then said “We’ll get my money in court” so I stopped and didn’t leave because at no point was I refusing to pay them. At that point I asked to clear things up with the owner and was refused… (which due to the employee threatening me I feel like any reasonable person would have spoken to the owner) after I left the owner called me and blew me up never letting me speak once to explain my story. The owner then proceeded to call me names like a child and say that she will call other kennel around to let them know about me… which is slander. I am sure the lady working the register feed the owner a line of BS about me, but as a leader you seek truth and hear sides before coming to a conclusion. During the incident both the lady at the register and owner were nothing but highly disrespectful, unprofessional and unbelievably rude. They didn’t care or wanna hear anything. I work with people in my career and I wouldn’t imagine ever hiring anyone like them.Upon leaving they didn’t return her harness, this could have very likely been a simple error though (things happen… like communication errors). The kennel said they feed Kitty 2 scopes of food a day (Thursday Evening-Sunday Evening. Yet bags of food we provided came back very full that at most 1-1/2 scopes were ever used. For the entire stay, nothing was ever said to me about her not eating. Yes dogs can go and sometimes not eat which is normal… but what’s not normal is the kennel claiming they did something and clearly they didn’t. There was no mention during her stay or after I picked her up about her not eating food.Just to be clear it was only 1 employee and the owner who were like this. I saw and spoke to two others, who were very nice and seemed like great people. They also listened so I could show them an error on their page. I am sure all the employees there and Cindy will see this. Those of you know who didn’t say nasty things you were great don’t take this review personally.If you are one of their potential customers and this post concerns you feel free to reach out and I will provide what happened in full, as nobody should be spoken to by a business owner and employee that way ever.

Both our cat and dog love going to Cindy's. Everyone is super friendly and you can tell they love animals. Love the little bandana our datschund has on everytime she comes out and has gotten a bath. We highly recommend.

This place doesn't keep there word. Told them my situation and the time frame I had to work with. They promised me they could have my pup done. Just told it will be at least 1.5 to 2 hrs longer than promised. Took my pup home. Will not be going back.

I chose Smiling Sammys as the place to have my dogs nails professionally trimmed for the first time due to recommendations from friends. I was very pleased with the amount of genuine care Cindy showed to my very fearful pup and she was very gentle/patient with him. Absolutely will return and recommend to others.

While we were away, our 3 furbabies took their vacations at Cindy's. They were treated well, and came home happy and healthy. Pricing at Cindy's is also reasonable. This is the second time we've boarded with Cindy, and although Avis is more than an hour from our home, our kids will always take their vacations there.

My Jaxson and I loved the staff and appreciated all the advice on how to take care of his coat. A full grooming service, I'll add that he is a golden Retriever that Cindy trimmed and left his feathers. Since I have had people ask me about that.

This was my first time there and I also went with my aides to dogs so it was three all together and it happened to be a small meteor in a large dog I'd love the way we were greeted when we came everything went so smooth check out was Inez the service was great the price was great and above all the dogs definitely look groomed smell very clean and look great and what's very soft I would recommend to everyone
