Great place for locals!I’ve lived on the mountain for 20 years and this place has it all, the staff is always super friendly and always has the latest news and mountain gossip. The prices are good and reasonable and they do more there on different services than most people know, just ask!

Welches Building Supply was able to cut glass that fit perfectly into some windows that had broken out at our cabin.Also got some keys cut. And got this awesome sign.Truly a one-stop shop!

Love the crew here! Everyone is so helpful and knowledgeable about any project I have going on. One of the guys (I think Justin) even re-screened my porch door on his day off when I was in a pinch and needed it that day. Bob is always there and great to talk thru stuff. Everyone is great. 100 times better than any Home Depot.

The prices are sometimes even better than Home Depot, I have been home owner in community for 3 years now and due to the way the local grocery store prices are I typically buy everything in Gresham, needed some drywall and wasnt getting a break in the rain, so figured I would pay extra to shop local, ended up saving alot. excellent customer service as well

This place is the ultimate example of how you run a great business. An amazing assortment of products for your home repair needs provided by kind generous people who care about their customers and community. Can't even count how many times they have saved me from having to drive 40 minutes for a part or tool or building supplies. Every time I go there they remind me why I love them and the little town they serve. Stop here first. You will never be disappointed

I love supporting the local shops and community. This shop has helpful staff and a good but basic "all you really need" line of hardware. The prices are very good and competitive, so don't bother thinking I'll pick one up at home depot, as it's really not worth the hassle.They also sell lumber and a small assortment of plants along with the regular hardware store stuff.The staff are supportive and assist you with your needs and advice.The only bad thing about this place, thus 4 stars and not 5, is every time I have asked them for a local recommendation for a builder, contractor, chimney sweep etc. they always give contacts of people who are either not local one or incompetent.SummaryGo here and buy stuff you need, skip Depot and Lowes.Ace hardware is also another good one, but they are 15miles down the road in Sandy. A good backup.

They cut keys here! We were delighted we didn’t have to drive to Sandy or even further. Fast and friendly service, we also bought a wreath that supports the local school district. What a wonderful business for the mountain community. If the owners are ever looking to sell, Sandwich is ready to be a shop dog. 😃

They have what you need. I was nervous about living 15 miles away from "town" but after three years of living in the area I have found that everything I need I can find locally. The staff is friendly and helpful. The store is well stocked. The prices are at or less than any store to the west.

I was sent by my hubby to get items to complete a kitchen sink install. I know nothing about plumbing or installation. I had a list and I received excellent customer service in getting items. When I got home he had everything he needed to finish my sink install. Thank you!!

This is the best small town hardware store I have ever been to. I visit these guys on a weekly basis and they usually have what I need and always have a smile on their faces.They don't stock everything like a big box store but their service and selection makes this my first stop always.

This small building contains a lot more stuff than you'd expect it would. I've been here pretty much every weekend for the last year, and there have only been a handful of times they didn't have what I need. They may charge a little bit more than the Home Despot does, but the fact that you don't have to drive all the way down to Fishtown makes up for that pretty fast. Plus the staff is just flat out great. I feel good every time I come in here. I'd much rather give money to Bill and Rochelle than the shareholders of some big box store.

I like this pkace as it reminds me of an Ace - they've got everything, including a friendly small town feel.We stopped when the big box store didnt have what we were looking for and, frankly, didn't seem much interested in getting it. WMBS had two, one plastic and one metal - exactly the selection I'd have hoped to find in the bigger store.Yes, I'll go back again and again.

This is THE place for building supplies up here. Costs more to ship stuff up here so prices are a little higher (maybe 10 or 15%) but way cheaper if you consider gas round trip to Home Depot in Gresham. I only consider the drive to Gresham if buying lots of sheathing, etc. for over $150 where it might pay for the gas. But it won't pay for the time and wear and tear on the car. Knowledgeable, helpful staff, very friendly place, usually has free coffee too!

Called 2 min before closing about an 8m 1.25 pitch bolt and they found it and set them aside to pick up in the morning. Good selection. Nice hardware store, good people.
