When my brother and I were kids we were obsessed with this store! Our favorite section in that store was the toy section we were always fascinated with the old McDonald's happy meal toys that were in plastic bags and the bags were full of those old toys. We still have them to this day because nowadays the happy meal toys aren't as cool as they used to be. If I ever have children and I visit this area again I will definitely take them here!

I donated here all the time, but today, I came in with my service animal, and they decided to make me leave the store. My girl is very sweet, and loves people, and was saying hi to everyone, and they were loving her too. The manager came from the back, and made me to leave because she was causing a commotion!

The staff are generally friendly and I’ve been able to find some pretty neat stuff. However, whoever prices furniture needs to have their price gun taken away. Most of the furniture is old and battered, and priced above what it would have been new (pictures for reference).

Very clean and great thrift store. I was amazed at how well the books were organized and sorted. Everything was clean and arranged nicely. Prices are also fair. The other nice thing about this thrift store is that they have a bathroom for customer use, which was also clean and nice.

Lots of variety. Clothing is well organized according to size. Prices are reasonable especially since most pieces are in good shape...not worn out and of the higher quality. It appears they are more selective than Goodwill and Salvation Army.Their 2nd hand mattresses are too high priced and prices are firm.Their book dept is well organized and has a good selection and decent pricing.Lots of electronic and household items. People donate some very nice pieces of furniture to them. Prices on it are somewhat high, even on the furniture items that have had lots of wear.Clean store and the clerks are moderately friendly.

This place is AWESOME!!! They have strict policies which make it VERY SAFE from covid germs, very impressed!!! Lots of treasures and so much better AND less expensive than Goodwill.ALL donated items are automatically stored in an outside container for at least 3 days. This delay is time enough for germs to die thus preventing the spread of covid etc.Fantastic place to shop!!!

Great price wonderful selection and everything that you purchase goes to support the local community. This is one of my favorite places to go for second hand things in the greater Dalles area. The recent remodel makes it feel more open and welcoming. Plus the great selection and Karen detail into what they put out makes things a little higher price worthwhile because it's I know it's something that I would be more than happy to pay for twice as much at a consignment shop.

The store was messy. The girl with brown hair, ponytail, & black shorts was a cashier & was working on clothes when we were next in line with the man cashier she stepped up & said " I can help you" we said oh we are ok here cause the transaction was completed with the customer we were behind & she then rolled her eyes, made a sighing noise & rudely walked away. It upset me

Hit their food bank today for 1st time and my experience with them was amazing. Such nice people, let you go through and pick your own food. Best food bank in town in my opinion. I came home with a lot of food which helps as the state cut my food stamps by 25 bucks!

Most items like clothing, books, and home accessories are mostly decently priced. Items like furniture seem high priced on some items, especially older pieces (30+ years old). Staff are friendly and helpful, and store is kept fairly clean and organized.

BUYER BEWAREGood selection. Very well organized.HOWEVER, way over priced. $29.99 for a pair of used sandals that retailed for that brand new. That is one example for reference. Not a place to find a bargain.

I love this store over the years have spent a lot of money there. Today i wanted to look for a bed frame. They told me at the door that i could not take me purse in. No backpacks or big purses and i needed to leave it outside. I was shocked and hurt. I told them i could not leave it outside how would i pay for anything. I would add a pic if i knew how. Dont know if i will keep going there

Best thrift store in The Dalles by far!!!Ok so yea options are slim but it beats Goodwill by far, and the Salivating Army is horrid unless they have actually changed in the last 2 years....but I honestly doubt it.

We recently had 2-day multi-family yard sale at a relative's house. Each of us sold a good portion of our items, but we all had some left over boxes that we just wanted to get rid of it quick. So we made a call to St. Vinnie's to see if they would be willing to pick up what was left from the sale, and sure enough they did just that! It was a great relief to all of us having them pick up what didn't sell. We appreciated this service greatly!

Generally this place is like any small town Treasure Trove it holds quite a few local nick-nacks and if you're lucky you can find something actually worthwhile. One of the major flaws of this place for me is they really ought to sort through old inventory of technology related items that are basically obsolete. They have Iraq of cell phone cases that are almost exclusively for the iPhone 4 and 4S. Some of the cameras that could have at one point been usable are laid on the shelves at a level where children who may not care at all about the product and may not understand how delicate these things are could get into and possibly damage. One thing to know about this location in relativity to the rest of the city is nearby is also a Goodwill that gets quite a bit more traffic so the items are usually fresher at Goodwill. Also the prices seem to be a little bit different a Goodwill I can't say I wouldn't say they're better because prices on clothes at Vincent's are usually pretty good.

Very nice organized store. Prices are marginal. Large inventory. The book Dept is gigantic! You could spend hours in that corner and still not see all the offerings on the shelves. It’s a must see if your a thrifter!

What can you say about a thrift store? They have a lot of used merchandise and clothing. Prices are a little high but that's because of the after covid price increases.

They have a nice selection of odds and ends here which are well organized, but I was treated like a criminal for trying to open a Blu-ray case before buying it. The disc was loose in the case and I wanted to check to make sure it wasn't damaged before I bought it. I attempted to peel off a piece of tape on edge so I could check the disc, when I was approached by an employee. I explained to him that the disc was loose inside and that I wanted to make sure it wasn't scratched. He looked at me in utter disbelief and informed me that he "tapes all of them" before taking it into a back room, returning moments later with it re-taped, and walking away. A few minutes later, he saw me still holding the movie, and condescendingly asked if "it was going to work for me." When I went to pay at the register, the cashier opened it and let me preview it before I paid; I'm guessing this is customary, but I'd never been to this store before and wasn't aware that they let you see the discs at the front counter before money is exchanged. All the employee needed to do was tell me that they'd show it to me at the register, but instead he opted to go on a power trip and carry on as though he'd stopped a thief. Left a bad taste in my mouth.

Well that's to bad. Really gone down hill since the reconstruct. Prices of furniture a joke, and I just had the last straw with your policies and service. My donations and customer support will not be here. Make sure to open taped up boxes since they are not labeled missing pieces and will not give money back because of thier till, ya okay

St.Vincent De Paul is an amazing organization that helps all kind of people in different situations. They have helped my husband and I when we were in a time of need in our life. Their food bank was by far one of the best food banks I have ever been to. They give a variety of food that's not expired that you can actually use to make at least 3 or 4days of good nutritious meals for your family. So grateful for the help when we needed it the most and didn't have any other options. Thank you

I came to the Dalles on Sunday morning early I got a room, putting all my clothes on the bed to only have some of the clothes taken by one of the workers. I went to st. Vincent de Paul and bought some used clothes. sales clerk was very nice

Pretty good place. Although they really need to pay attention with the items that have gotten paid for and put sold signs on them as soon as someone pays money for it. Instead of thinking it wasn't sold and continued to sell it to someone else. Very disappointed experience.

Not bad. Selection wasn't great but it's a small town. Prices were better than other thrift stores in town. 200 @ 2.99

My favorite by far of all the thrift stores in town. Great selection, very clean and well organized store, and helpful and friendly staff. I'd say at least a third of the clothes I own came from here! ;-)

Big store, lots of clothing and a huge book section. The staff were nice but the restroom needs updating. Good cause with true thrift store prices.

Very clean and well supplied. Furniture was higher priced than what I was used to in the Everett Wa area. Just moved here and wanted to see how the store was.
