April 5th 2024 I shared a bad experience I had with a purchase of select 80/20 ground beef to manager Curtis and his manager, who's name escapes me now, and thee n compensate me with 2 Aspen Ridge Angus ground beef. Thanks also to their cashier Gary for apparently taking me at my word as he didn't call on Curtis to verify what I was talking about. So a very sincere thank you to Curtis, his manager and cashier Gary. I appreciate it.

I'm giving this store 2 stars because the prices are so very high. $4 for salad dressing? 6 for lunch meat? Way to price gouge people in the community you serve!!!

This cake was so good I ordered from Oregon for pickup on our way. Kristie was so helpful and went above and beyond to make sure it was perfect Not only was it beautiful but delicious as well there were many compliments that day. Thank you Kristie and the cake decorator you are awesome đ

I stood at the deli counter for over 10 minutes with 4 deli employees right there. The 2 in the back where jacking their jaws and the 2 out front looked at me a few times and not once said anything to me. I waited another few minutes and a little Hispanic woman who was behind the counter looked right at me and then went about doing something else other than helping the only customer that was standing there. I walked out and won't be back. Absolutely horrible customer service from everyone in the deli department.

Safeway usually has really good customer service all the times Iâve gone for my shopping but this time I had Jodi T helping me and I got the worst experience ever. Iâve not had so much attitude and snobbyness from one person until I ended up in her lane at Safeway today. People with good customer service belong in a good place like Safeway. Not rude customer service.

Most of the time this place is decent. Though lately the frozen foods that we've been getting have smelled terrible. It's like they were sitting in rotting meat juice. Whatever is creating the smell has soaked through the cardboard containers and into the cardboard bowl that contains the frozen food. You can barely smell it when it's still frozen, though when it comes out of the microwave it is absolutely horrendous. The food is then inedible, and I don't know how else to inform the establishment that their frozen food section appears to be contaminated in some way?This has happened on three separate occasions over the course of at least a month or two. For a while I stopped buying frozen meals from Safeway because of this, and things have not changed. I wonder if anyone else has been having this issue?Safeway, please clean your freezers so I can continue to shop at your store!-That was my review over a year ago.This problem still persists. Frozen items still smelling like rotten meat.Be careful when shopping in the freezer and refrigerated sections. More items are coming out of the store smelling like mold as well as the rot.I had to stop buying their frozen dinners, and now have to find a new place to buy yogurts because I'm tired of washing the mold smell off of the bottles.Why won't Safeway keep things clean?

Staff unaware of location of items possibly found in own store, and were not helpful in direction for finding needed items at a different location. Store seemed stocked and aisles were organized. Location of this store was convenient and parking lot accomadated shoppers.

The good: Safeway is a little less busy than Fred Meyers. That's good if you have a disability and need to use the scooters. Their scooters are also a little easier to use.The sales are pretty straightforward, unlike some of Fred Meyer's promotions.Sometimes they have really good sales on meat.Sometimes they carry things that Fred Meyer's doesn't.The bad: the lighting isn't great and the aisles are kind of narrow. The prices are usually a bit higher than Fred Meyer's.The ugly: I have been eternally turned off to this place since I walked in and encountered clouds of flies. It only happened once though, so it was probably just a bad shipment or something. But I still feel a bit weird shopping there.All in all, it's a good store if you need to use a scooter, need phyllo sheets for spanikopita, or are just popping in for a spectacular sale. But not my preferred every day store.

H2O dispenser out STILL. And although I do not know how affiliated you are with the Starbucks stand. Gross. Got money back and drove over to drive through Starbucks. Drinks amazing. Maybe if the 2 ladies were not playing around so much they could have made at least a mediocre drink. We thought maybe they were flirting. Either way be aware everyone in close proximity is watching. Take pride in your job. Learn how to speak correctly to your customers.

We stopped in to check out the deli and found the BEST customer service people in everdome period. One was African American and the one that we eventually chose to sample their food was I think Hispanic. Both were extremely friendly and polite and interacted with us very well. I wish the deli people in Yakima was that happy to help their customers.

The drive up and go at Safeway is the worst thing ever. They are understaffed almost all the time to where there is only 1 person picking things. I placed my order at 10:30am this morning and placed it for 6pm but waited an hour and then was told i can get a refund or wait longer till it was picked. I was on the bottom of the list, it is rediculous. If you do not have the people to be efficient DO NOT HAVE IT OPEN. Maybe learn from fred meyers how to do the drive and go.

The staff at Safeway are very helpful. They took time to help me set up their website for deals and for the coupons. If I needed help to reach an item they were there to help. All in all the experience I have had is worth it to shop there...

Clean. They have a great variety if cat foods, the deli has GREAT, reasonably-priced fried chicken (and baked), an offering of hot Chinese foods, and the usual grocery store fare. Incidentally, Safeway's coffee brand (Sumatra, my favorite beans to buy. Tiger on bag!) is comparable to other, more famous,coffee. Less expensive and, Bueno!!

Prices are pretty high, but so is everywhere now, I like the Chicken Asian Salad from the Deli, and we have gotten some amazing Corn that has been so good (the white and yellow kernel blend.)The parking lot is very busy, back out slowly and watch out for people. My Husband likes this store the best because he says it's the easiest to find things.

This particular Safeway is horrible with having items stocked on shelves. Being 1 out 3 options to shop they should be more prepared for business. It's not a supply chain issue because the other 2 are stocked. Good Luck on this one

This store is not keeping us safe. There are no hand sanitizers available at registers, bathrooms disgusting if you think you are cleaning your hands with no soap and paper dispenser was out too. Frozen item had leaked when at register asked for a hand wipe and all they had was multipurpose chemicals for my human hands. Come on, just because covid mandate lifted doesn't mean your store has to be the germiest. Not safe to shop, dont bring the elderly unless equipped with own ppe

Here in The Dalles, if you want to get in and out quickly, go to Safeway. Beats FM hands down. And if you've never tried their breakfast burrito they are good. For lunch sometimes I'll get a grilled Panini and that's quite tasty too.

It looks like the general layout of the store in The Dalles is similar to the one in my town, Leavenworth. It's nice to be able to walk into a store anywhere and be able to easly find what your looking for.

It has a few good employees who are very helpful and quite a few who seem like they have no idea what customer service is about. There is little competition in Hood River as far as grocery stores. Rosauers is the only comparable (and - IMHO- much better by far) grocery store.

The cashiers are kind, sociable and get you through the line rather quickly. I also like the fact they have hand wipes available at the door to wipe the grocery carts with. Reasonable prices, deli staff is friendly and the food is pretty good. Love the chicken! Have ordered it for potlucks more than once, always a hit!

I would like to tell you about these two AMAZING, RESPONSIBLE, RESPECTFUL employees at the deli, it was a young gentleman with blue eyes and a young smiling lady . They were so awesome and nice while we went yesterday May 16 at around 7 pm o we are here for vacation and it is nice to mset people like this. Please recognize them because they deserved it. Anderson family .. they loved my cat shirt.

I don't know that I have actually ever been to this store, but we have family in the area and we use the floral department to send flowers. We call from far away and ask for a beautiful arrangement to be sent and within a short amount of time, our family there receives prize-worthy bouquets from the floral department. Each time we call (once a year), we have been helped by a very kind and patient lady who promises us a wonderful arrangement and each time our family has given it great reviews. Thank you! We will be making our yearly call very soon! (The kind lady there is 'Amy', if I remember correctly.)
