Petco's staff is well-educated about its products so can answer my questions. While Petco charges somewhat more for most products than if I bought them elsewhere, I'm happy to pay more because having good, knowledgeable staff makes me more confident when I shop at a Petco store.Thank you!

Pet after pet that our 14 year old daughter has saved up for and purchased with her allowance, has been sick, and died. They've all been small animals. Fish and mice.Add to that, when we were trying to get 2 mice, one employee was helping us, and another came over and started aggressively talking negatively about another employee right in front of us! I actually cut in and suggested that this conversation would be more appropriate for a breakroom.One of the mice she got at Petco was sick almost immediately. Yes, we ended up at the vet, and the $7 mouse cost us another $200 at the vet. It turned out that he was dehydrated and malnourished and was too young to have been taken away from his mother. We will NOT be purchasing any pets from there again.

My toddler had to use the bathroom and when we asked the employee to unlock the bathroom, he was so incredibly rude and we waited for him to help a few customers and then he looked right at me and walked away. My husband had to go hunt him down and my daughter peed herself and he was just rude and couldn't be bothered.

Had an appointment to have my dog's toenails groomed. At 8:00 in the morning was there a wait until 8:15 for somebody to unlock the door then waited another 15 minutes for the groomers as they stood in their staring at me laughing to open their door so I just left

i was busking outside during xmas, so was using their restroom primarily even tho locked, they had no problem with me and actually would keep an eye on my guitar while i went. so many times i passed the birds i wouldnt be suprised if they picked up the here kitty kitty i said to them in every passing

Better stocked than the one in Vancouver. Still has a lot of empty shelf space though. Corporate needs to do better at stocking these places so the employees don't get dumped on by Karena.

I went to the store located in The Dalles to get some fish. I have been tending fish for almost 30 yrs. When arrived and tried to get the fish I wanted. I was treated very rudely and then I was insulted and then refused service. I do not recommend anybody go to this store. Not only are thehy rude insulting to their customers,their fish tanks were in need of some care too. I would have gone with less than a full star but there were no options for less than 1 star.

Some of the reptile enclosures were over 105 degrees and the employees gave me attitude about it. There are dead fish in the tanks all of the time as well. They don’t take care of their animals properly at all.

Petco groomer, Gabby, did a wonderful job on grooming our dog. She had found something that maybe our dog needed to see the vet about and we appreciated that so much.Gabby will be missed.

I honestly can't rate this store high enough! Very clean store and all the animals always look healthy and have clean cages. The staff is not only friendly but knowledgeable as well. The Aquatics department is so fantastic and they always have given me great advice on different aquarium issues that I may have from setting up a new tank to troubleshooting issues with my fish!

Pretty well stocked for being fairly rural (The Dalles) usually able to find what I'm looking for. Took one star off because it's always difficult to find someone to help on the floor and it's a bit frustrating considering there are so many things that a person would need help with, from pets to locked items to very high shelves. In my opinion there should always be at least one person available to help, but good luck finding someone!

We've been loyal customers for years with this Petco. Pretty disappointed with this one. 😳 We needed dog food so when my husband discovered they didn't carry our brand, he asked the lady working if all they had was the premium brand and if they could please give us a discount for it? 🤔 She was not very accommodating so what we usually spend on dog food ($60.00) we wound up paying premium price ($90.00). WOW, what a mark up! 😳 OUCH! Won't be going back there. 🤣 LMAO! 🤭

I was sold Petco vital care. I was told I could cancel at any time. I did not use it in 3 months so I decided to call to cancel. They told me it was a year-long membership that I signed up for. I had no idea and I was not told that by the manager that signed me up for the program. You need to make it clear that people are signing up for a year long membership!!! Not one that can be canceled at any time if they don't use it.
