The bad reviews are sound. Some of the employees here are condescending idiots at times. One time I walked into this market to grab something to eat. I decided to order one of their meals that came with chicken tenders, a fountain drink, and a small container of either soup or mac & cheese. While the guy was giving me my order, I told him that he didn’t have to worry about giving me the fountain drink cup, because I already had soda in my car. I guess this was a big problem to them for some stupid reason; they told me that if I didn’t accept the soda cup that they would have to charge me for each item separately in the meal separately and therefore make it more expensive. When I told them that I simply didn’t want a fountain drink with it, one of the head employees suddenly walked over, supposedly to attempt to put me in my place, and then condescendingly explained that if I didn’t accept the fountain drink, they would charge me more money... So, I reluctantly accepted the soda cup, walked over to the soda dispenser, filled it up to the very top, then proceeded to throw it in the garbage right in front of them. Yes, the employees at this market can act very stupid with their customers.

Really nice convenience store. Lots of fun food and merchandise along with their food and basic items. 👍🏻

This convenience store is located at the Chevron just off the I-84 exit. It's open 24/7 so it's a great place to stop if you need a snack, something to drink or need some gas any time of day or night. We've been stopping in here for years and the employees have always been friendly. Typical selection of products you would expect at a convenience store, including a few cool soda selections you wouldn't expect (which was really cool).

Came here at night to get gas with my mother, she has tinted windows. When she got out and told the gas attendant what she wanted she left her phone on her driver's seat & went inside. Apparently he couldn't see me in there because it was dark & the windows were tinted but he tried to open the door (presumably to take the phone) but when he saw me he quickly backed off. I didn't say anything because I didn't have any proof, but just a warning to others. Go across the street to the other station, gas is cheaper and the employees are friendlier.

The guy behind the counter was absurdly rude and unprofessional to my wife. He had used not such good choice of words and had stated that he didn't care!!! People need to actually review the candidates before hiring! Never going there again. And as far as I'm concerned I hope he gets fired!

One star because I have to. Awful place. Manager doesn't take care of real problems and complaints of their rude employees. Guy with long hair and nasty teeth was extremely rude over asking where the bathroom was. Do not recommend go to the 76 across the street. Much nicer people.

Everytime I go in to Jack's Mini Mart in The Dalles, the cashiers are RARELY friendly. Tonight, I went in to have a scratch ticket returned. The older lady, Cynthia had a mean look on her face the whole time and when I asked if it was a winner she looked at it and ignored me. Then when I asked if she needed my ID to give me the money from the winning ticket, she shook her head like I was incredibly stupid and rudely said "um, you gave me the ticket. Im not going to ask for your id" so I grabbed my money and on the way out I hear her say to the other employee, "look at my fingernail I've been scratching those damn tickets all day" I looked at her and said "you don't have to be so damn rude." And left. I will not be going there again.

A personal must stop while traveling! I have enjoyed stopping here every time on my way to Portland and on my way back. Always good finds inside!
