There's some cool stuff here. Mostly things I don't need, but some very interesting things at fair prices. Some of the food was expired, which was disappointing. The second floor was also blocked off - apparently due to staffing issues. It's one of those stores that you might get lucky to find exactly what you need at a great price, but probably not.

I had a great experience at Discounts Plus! I found quite a few items for great prices, but what impressed me the most, was the customer service. I asked a couple questions, which were politely answered and on top of that, when checking out, my bird seed pack broke open and shot seed everywhere. I apologized and they weren’t troubled by it, and cleaned it up. I felt taken care of and well treated. Thank you, Discounts Plus for a 5 star experience.

They aren't really discount store. Maybe saw 2 things that I would buy at a discount. The rest just as much or $1 off of regular store.

I usually just get drinks and random food i'll never get to find/try again, but this place has a ridiculous amount of random household things. It's hard to not find some variety of thing or other that you need here, especially the bizarre overstock good items this sort of place is great for.After they get to know you they're very accommodating of your particular way of shopping. I often bring a backpack (which is technically not allowed) bc i live a few blocks away and often walk there, and they've never bothered me about it and i've never stolen anything. :) Just as it should be.

This store is pretty random. They've got prom dresses and pool noodles and leaf blowers and life sized movie character cardboard cutouts? I dunno, there's just some of everything. It's fun to wander around but I don't think I'd go in looking for something specific unless I saw it in the window. It seems like the kind of place that has stuff one week but not the next. Like grocery outlet I guess? The staff was really friendly and we found some neat and useful stuff.

Great prices. We went in just to look around for a few minutes waiting for an appointment down the street. They have a great selection of quality rugs at really good prices. Definitely recommend a visit.

This discount store is open 7 days a week and has just about everything you could think of. My first visit was suppose to be a quick look but my sister and I spent nearly 2 hours and I purchased clothes, tools and toiletries. The best thing was the money I saved. Nearly $60.

Love this place! Great prices and a wide variety of stuff! Sometimes they may not have one specific product or option such as a certain tool or toy but overall they have a great selection of all the essential departments: tools, garden, clothing, grocery, home goods, clothing, tech and tactical, school/office supplies, toys, novelty, bath, beauty, and more.

Please be careful as they sell expired food. Slim Jim (expired 2 months ago) and BBQ sauce (expired over 1.5 yrs). The Male Cashier wasn’t friendly at all.

This place has a little bit of everything....at a discounted price. The few employees we saw in the HUGE store werent hard to find and were very helpful and friendly. Will definitely will be going back.

DP reminds me of an indoor swap meet with a little of everything. As a aluminum recycling location, it is not uncommon to find people loitering at the front door with large plastic bags full of cans or casing inside the store while waiting for an attendant. To minimize unwanted traffic, management closed the restroom permanently.

This place would be better if patrons were held to the same standards as staff (wear masks if they require you to wear them while shopping here) & if they had restrooms for public use. We would have shopped longer if there was a public restroom.

Every penny saved makes a big difference each month.Discount Plus's Facebook Page advertised an additional 40% discount on all blue tags grocery & bedding items & BOGO on bagged coffees,June 8-10.June 9th, prompted by their facebook ad, I made my 1st trip to The Dalles Discount Plus store for groceries. I purchased mostly blue tagged grocery items, some other color tagged grocery items and a few non food items.While placing items on the counter,I couldn't see the register readout...My total purchase was rang up & paid.$133.69 blue tag foods (no 40% off)$ 26.15 not blue tag foods (no BOGO)$ 13.47 non food items.-------------$173.31 totalI looked at my receipts..No itemized product/price accountingNO 40% discounts OR BOGO COFFEEThe store manager was in the checkstand, with the cashier, during my entire transaction, boxing up my purchases. After my purchases were paid, I asked the cashier how I could tell if I received the advertised 40% discount prices or BOGO on my sales receipts. The cashier looked away, then to her MANAGER(?), and didn't answer.ME: trying to show the cashier my receipts, "I dont see any 40% off...MANAGER: "You can't."ME: "How come?"MANAGER: "Because you didn't get it."ME: "Why not?"MANAGER: "You didn't ask the cashier for the 40% discount."ME:"What? The 40% discount was advertised thru the 10th, on your facebook page. So many items! Such great prices! I went in for some paper towels and left with cleaning supplies, coffee, clothing, a kitchen chopper, and a metal sign. Oh... And paper towels.
