I have always enjoyed the Rays Markets , and really there are only a few left total, so I'm glad to be within a mile of one of em. Yes, they're a little bit higher in price compared to other grocery stores, but it feels good helping keep them in our neighborhoods.

I'm thankful for this store. It's quite a ways to go to any other store. I needed something sweet because my insulin pump does a very good job keeping my blood glucose level down. Sometimes it works too well and I was going to have very low levels. Due to m u poor planning this day I was very grateful to found this location. Very greatful indeed.

Stopped in at Ray's in Selma saw they sold liquor so I stopped in to pick up some things needed for Christmas party this evening. Was greeted by a polite gentleman at one of the cash registers who said he would be with me in a few minutes.. I replied okay sure I'm just gonna grab a few things and wait at the counter. There is a sign that says wait for assistance. I assumed since I already communicated with the associate . I went ahead and went inside and picked up what I needed and waited at the counter. The next thing I hear is this woman by the name of Rose yelling at me and asking me if could read. I replied excuse me? She proceeded to scold me in front of everyone that I was not to enter unless escorted, she also said she was with other customers and that I was to wait. I explained to her that I had already spoken with the male associate and was not aware that I was to wait for her. She continued to scold me and I said whatever to her then she really got nasty, so I apologized. Even after I apologized she continued to scold me and said do you want to go to Cave Junction and I said excuse me what? To get your liquor is what she said. My response was Ma'am I already apologized why are you repeatedly scolding me in front of everyone. This was absolutely humiliating! Seriously who treats people like that ! This situation could have been handled in a completely different manner than being scolded like a child in the principle's office. I'm over 50 years old and WOW I am absolutely shocked at this associates bad customer service and manners. Shame on Rose!

Twice now ive gone in and had the total taken from my bank account between $14 and $32 over what i spent that day. When i asked the manager she said well you show me the video that proves it. I told her I had my receipts and i could get a print out from my bank but she just blew me off. Im outraged! Who knows how many other times this happened before i caught it!!!

Well since the store was so nice to comment on my review, I'll boost it a bit.We're new to the area and we were very pleased to find the little store in Selma! Very good hot deli area, chicky boom boom is pretty yummy and they have coffee over in the deli that's pretty good😊 prices are pretty average for us, as we come from the black hills of South Dakota! Friendly cashiers and one made sure for us to sign up for the rewards card. I enjoy getting the weekly ad in my email, saves paper!

My best place . One and only in the area. One of the kind south from Salem and north of San Francisco. Only one "Happy Market".Feta cheese, Yogurt prebiotic, Filo pastry and many more.

Sweet little rural grocery store in an unincorporated area of Josephine County Oregon. Could use a cleaning up, however it's the only grocery store in a high poverty area of the county so it's existence serves a vital purpose. Staff are really friendly. Great place to load up on snacks if you're headed to/from the redwoods.

What an awesome time I had at Ray's in Selma, Oregon. It was my sister EdreAnnas birthday, and I had been looking for one of those hoodies/ponchos for her gift. I looked hi and low. No luck. The night of her BD, leaving Grant's Pass on our way to Cave Junction, we stopped at Ray's. Found all my items with no problems. The store was very clean, nothing blocking the aisles and everything was where it should be, on well stocked shelves. Got to the checkout and low and behold what do I see? "PONCHOS!!". The Lady checking us, came out to help my Niece Faith and I, explaining which ones were which, the sizes etc. I was so happy with our find. She suggested to keep receipt. Once again Ray's came through. We gave it to my sister and it wasn't the right size. (imagine it!) Back in and not one single issue. Exchanged it, with my receipt, and with her help, I got the correct size and this one in my sister's color! Thanks again Ray's, for the icing on "MY SISTAS BD CAKE". I wish I could remember the Lady's name, I don't and I apologize. I vote Ray's my "The Best Grocery Store of 2022". RAYS is #1‼️🏆🥇 ( HB MY SISTA ❤ U✌ )

I shop here every day. I know everyone and they know us. Due to location, their prices are higher but consistent. They now sell liquor as well. Ray's is a part of our community in great standing. They go to great lengths to accommodate each customer, with eye to eye contact, and genuine kindness. Yes I like our little store!!!

This is basically an oversized convenience store or a small grocery store. Normally you can find what you need without having to drive all the way to Cave Junction or Grant's Pass but the prices are a little higher cuz there isn't much near here it's a rural town.

Great staff, clean store, well organized, convenient liquor store inside.Not a lot of organic, non-GMO, unprocessed, healthy food and it costs too much, consequently, I do not come here often.

Horrible experience. My mother deposited a large amount of cans at this establishment and exceeded the maximum by nearly ten dollars (thats a lot of cans). She was told by an employee that she could bring the remaining receipt back the following day and get the rest of her total. The following day, she was met by an incredibly rude and unprofessional Manager who told her that was illegal, that she needed to “read up on the laws” and that the maximum was the same everywhere, which is untrue. When told this, my mother said she would bring the receipt to a bottle drop location that was within city limits of grants pass and had a larger maximum, and she would have it cashed out there. The manager then stole the receipt from my mothers hand, crumpled it up in her face, and stuffed it in his pocket. He would not give it back when prompted, claiming that the establishment was “his property” and that he would call the police on her if she continued asking to retrieve HER receipt that she got from depositing HER cans. Many people witnessed this interaction and my mother came home crying.edit: the district manager compensated my mother’s money for the cans she deposited and gave her a 25$ gift card. from what i heard they were very kind in helping right this situation. :)

I like the convenience of Rays as there isn't any other stores in this tiny town but I won't buy meat there as they just turn it over when it turns brown so you can't tell that it's already turning. And many times the meat is bad. They do however have one employee, I don't know his name, that actually cares and he looks at it at the checkout to make sure it's not bad and will go get a better one for you if it is. I really like that. I wish all the employees did that. Many times the fruit is bad also. I have seen mold on them as well as showing signs of them being rotten. I told the checker one day and she could care less. She did nothing about it. So just look carefully at any fresh foods, smell them too, to make sure it's good. Mind you, living in such a small town, it's probably because they put stuff out and it doesn't get sold and they don't want to waste it and put out more fresh stuff just to go bad. At least that's what I think.

I don't know what to say about this place. It's the only grocery for a bit, so if you live in Selma you have to shop here sometimes, especially if you don't have transportation. Ray's knows this and takes advantage by charging more than any other super market I've ever been too. Their parking lot is also probably in the top five most shady places in the county.The people who work there all seem to be nice and cool though.

Nice country grocery store with a liquor section. Most liquor stores are standalones. It was nice to see that liquor is available. The produce looked good. The store is very well stocked and has a great hot case section for hot food on the go. Much nicer than most other markets around.

To start with they didn't have what we needed in stock. Only one in and out door, they didn't enforce the mask mandate at all. The only cool place was the bathrooms, but to tp. Cashier was rude and very impatient with customers. Unfortunately thats the only place to go since we is camping up this way. If i had a choice I wouldn't have ever gone in.
