They have the best trainer/dog whisperer I've ever met. The training it's great and VERY reasonable. They will help correct unwanted behaviors and make you and your dog feel safe and comfortable. I've not used their boarding.

They are always working hard and are super kind with answering any questions as well as caring for my dog. He's been going here for about a year now and it's been a life saver. My dog has severe separation anxiety and can't be left alone at home anymore. When I'm at work, he's here being looked after and gets to play. Overall its the best in customer service and pet care! So happy I found Pet Village ☺ 💓Thank you guys!!

Took my adult dog to Pet Village for their 8-week Novice training course. Overall super experience! Obedience courses are group classes held in a huge, indoor, fully enclosed arena with a concrete floor. Jen, the lead trainer, manages to choreograph the training of multiple dogs (and their owners) with aplomb and patience. We all ended up performing better than we expected, with both dogs and owners happy. Highly recommend!

I chose this place to care for my dog while on a trip overseas. I received an email the second day saying they were sending all the dogs home because of a virus outbreak and that I needed to arrange for pickup. I understand needing to separate the dogs for health reasons, but I trusted this place to care for my dog when I was away and I would expect for them to find alternative means of doing that on my behalf if their location was no longer safe. What if I had been in a region without any phone or internet connection? What if I didn’t have anyone else to care for her while I was gone? What good is a boarding kennel if they can’t be relied on to take care of your dog when you’re out of the country? Do not rely on this place for your pet care needs. They might be good if everything goes as expected, but they will fail you in an emergency.

My German Shepherd has done day training, been boarded and groomed here. My pup has extremely special dietary needs due to a genetic condition and this is the first place we have been able to board him with confidence. We did a trial run for a week while in town and had no issues. My boy goes with them with confidence and has no issues when we drop him off. I tried boarding 1 night at another facility and he didn't want to go with them and he ended up sick all night and they didn't even let me know until we picked him up and asked. Pet Village has great communication and we will definitely continue to use their services. My best friend did the 6wk board and train with her German Shepherd and was extremely happy with the results as well.

Great place to get dog training. I took both my dogs to training here and it was top notch. I would recommend Pet Village to all dog owners without hesitation. The trainer Jennifer goes over and above to make sure you get the results you want. My older dog that is over 10 years old, wasn't treat motivated and she had other training methods that worked just as well. Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly satisfied.

We took our dog there for training 10 years ago, which is very organized and well run. Then regulary boarded her there her whole life. The dog loved them and staying at pet village. Note she hated everyone and other dogs otherwise. Swe started training our new dog there this year and it is still a great program.

My dog has a huge wound after boarding there. He is not doing well. They cleaned the wound with water such that I wouldn't notice the blood, but its very clear. When I questioned about the wound, they blamed it on the fence. There staff were very friendly but this us unacceptable. I saw a similar review on angieslist. But google showed good reviews about them. I am not baording there again.

I Love, Love, Love Pet Village. I have been bringing Luna, our 10 month old German Shepherd here since we got her. We do our baths here as well as all of Lunas training. Jennifer and her staff are wonderful with the dogs and really know what they are doing. Pet Village is a must.

DO NOT RECCOMMEND!!!!I left my dog at Pet Village for a weekend and after pick-up we noticed a wound on his left front leg. He was limping for 2 days. They also lost his antler.Three weeks later, we left him there for another weekend and he came back injured AGAIN. This time it was his left back leg. He was limping for 2 days.After reading other reviews, it seems this is a recurring problem that has impacted multiple other dogs. I do not feel the animals are cared for or looked after adequately at this facility. I will not be leaving my dog here again.

My daughter has a high anxiety cat and needed to place her here to be cared for, for a few days. The cat now has pink eye, fungal nails, worms in feces, can’t keep food down, and can’t control her bladder and is hiding in the corner of my daughters bedroom. What happened to her while she was under their supervision? She was exposed to awful things.

I have had a rough journey with my dog and obedience classes. After getting kicked out of one dog class because he barked too much and was trying to herd other dogs, we went to Pet Village in Salem. I can not say enough good things about Jennifer and her team. Blue could not even be in class on week two due to his intense desire to herd EVERY DOG in his sight. Jennifer offered to take Blue for full-day training once a week, followed by classes I attended in the evenings. When I saw him being able to participate in class after just 2 weeks of day training, I almost cried. After such a horrible experience with the previous dog trainer, this was amazing to see. While he still loves to herd everything, I can manage his outburst, and his obedience is much better. We will retake the same class next month to continue reinforcing these behaviors.

Great novice classes for your dog. This is my second session for their novice class. Hoping to enroll in agility at some point with my Kelpie x. Jennifer and the assistants have the program locked down for best results, and have high expectations for you and your pup while respecting others in the class. Reasonable pricing for the high quality training. Good bonding for you and your pup. Best obedience class I've experienced so far

The staff here are very friendly and dedicated to making sure the pups are comfortable. My dog has bad separation anxiety and I was concerned he might bite staff while I was gone. The staff were able to give him a bath and trim his nails without incident, and were genuinely as enthusiastic as I was about it. Great place!

We love Pet Village! We have two gray tabbies and the staff are always excited when "The Twins" come to stay. The cats seem content - both always look relaxed in their kennels when we come to pick them up. The staff communicates up front if we need to update any vaccine records for our stay so there are no surprises. Rates are reasonable and hours are convenient.

We have taken our dog to Pet Village for boarding, training and grooming since she was a young puppy. I have learned a lot in our training classes, which has made me a better pet parent and have a more well behaved dog. We have been very happy with all of the services. The staff is very friendly and Sadie is happy to go there. I highly recommend them.

This was our first time boarding at Pet Village as we are new to the area. The staff was pleasant and helpful from phone call to drop off to pick up. After calling around, I find their price for boarding is extremely competitive based on others nearby. I picked up two very happy dogs! After staying a week, they were in great condition (did not look stressed) and also smelled good (indicating a clean holding facility). Thank you, we will be frequent customers!

The staff is really nice. I have never put one of my dogs in day boarding so I was surprised when I went back to view the kennels. I didn't like the concrete floors they seemed cold. But for some dogs it seemed fine, my girl is spoiledI really like the classes and staff.

I've taken my little guy here twice, once for a nail trim and later for a bath. The people working are so nice, seemed to genuinely like dogs, and did their best to ease his nerves. When I picked him up they shared that one of his nails was clipped a little short. The other places I have gone never bring this up and I would rather know, so I greatly appreciated this. ❤️

I've boarded my huskies twice here. Both times the reception staff has been very friendly.The most recent time was after needing to evacuate from a level 3 wildfire area. They gave free boarding for evacuees. I was very impressed and thankful. They also gave Odin a bath and a grooming, which I am a bit ashamed to say was much needed.They also have obedience training. I believe the bath and grooming rates are pretty reasonable. Odin is a woolly husky, lots and lots of fur. The normal rate for a groom and bath for his breed is $35.Thank you pet village first taking such good care of my furry friends.

I'm new to the area and went in to get a tour of the facility. The staff member behind the counter was clearly frazzled as it was "pick up time." There was already a frustrated potential customer ahead of me who could not get ahold of the person coordinating training classes. She was given new information which she has not been told prior. My turn...I was told to come back between 1-3 any day for a tour. Confusing because It clearly says on their website, "see us in person...feel free to visit during normal business hours." Needless to say I wasted 45 min of my time only to be turned away. Not very good customer service. They do not exude a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Won't be boarding there!

My small dogs were traumatized by staying here two nights. There were big dogs constantly barking and the place seemed chaotic. My dogs were supposed be bathed before I picked them up and they were brought out soaking wet. The person said “they didn’t like the dryer,” which I don’t believe because they’ve been groomed many times and I’ve never heard that before. Also I brought my own special diet food, enough that would’ve lasted a week, and when I asked for the rest back, I was told that they ate it all, which is completely unbelievable. Overall a very bad experience and I won’t be going back.
