Al Forno was phenomenal! The service was great and the staff were super friendly. The pizza was AMAZING. All made to order, fresh ingredients, and wood fired. Flavors were great and they balanced the delicate flavors well with the ones that are normally strong. The pasta was cooked perfectly too.Definitely going to make this a regular stop when I'm in the area.

We really enjoyed our dinner here. Went as a large party and ordered 3 salads, 3 pizzas and ravioli. Also tried different beers. Atmosphere was woody and nice. All the food was yum. Especially enjoyed the thin crispy crust pizza . We liked the sausage pizza with hot peppers best. Our server Tony was also incredibly attentive and friendly. Best service we got at a restaurant in a long time. Will definitely be back anytime in the area.

So surprised and excited to find out this place has all the vegan cheeses and meats! Been driving by every ski day without checking but now we have a new favorite mountain spot. This pie is hot peppers, vegan ricotta and house made vegan sausage. Very very good. Beautiful oven making beautiful wood fire pizza.Vegetarian options: Really great veg options for every pie

What the heck!!! This is a contender of the best Pizza I have ever had. That includes multiple stops in Italy, Portland, Chicago, New York.The dough is fantastic, the right amount of chewiness. Ingredients are fresh and delicious. Service was great, friendly, small town vibe. I sat out back on the picnic tables and listened to the Jays and chickadees.What a find (for the record, I got the number 10). I will dream of this pizza for years.

Visited from Washington and to tell you the truth, this was the best pizza I've ever had. I'm not a huge pizza fan so I was pleasantly surprised and not only was the pizza amazing, the place had a unique and welcoming vibe. We were going to take our pizza to go but ended up staying in the beer garden to eat, our dogs were welcome to sit with us. The staff was excellent and waited on us like we were long lost friends. We bought a beautiful painting of Mount Hood that was on the wall for sale from a local artist... How could I not, I'm a Full Moon enthusiasts and the moon in the painting glows! Loved everything about this place.💛🍄🍕🍻💚

Some of the best pizza I've had in a long while. If you're staying anywhere in the area or coming down from the ski hills, this is a must. Great atmosphere with canbinesque decor. They had a place in Portland years ago and brought some of that interior up the hill for this location. I'll be back again in the same week. Delish!Parking: Parking to the right side if the building. Post office side.

One of my favorite dining experiences in years. Got here right as lunch started. Three staff members, one was making pizza, one was bartending?, the other was seemingly running the joint, getting fires setup for heat, taking orders, greeting folks, etc.The guy running the joint was overly hospitable, made sure we could get the pizza we wanted, chatted it up a bit, and highly recommended the cannoli, which we didn’t come in planning to eat, but it was the best cannoli I’ve ever had. Between the good pizza, great staff, and better cannoli, I’d highly recommend this spot

Why this place is so highly rated is beyond me. The pizza tastes fine but they seriously skimp on the toppings. We ordered Hawaiian plus pepperoni and extra cheese, there was literally 2 small slices of pepperoni per piece on the six slices of our $40 pizza… to their credit they brought us out a bunch of pepperoni AFTER I mentioned something. I’m pretty positive they did not put extra cheese on our pie and the other toppings were sparse like the pineapple. No plans to go back though the place and server were quite wonderful.

Great pizza, cool staff, unique drinks and beers. Overall a great place. Don't expect some kind of high end place. This is a rustic restaurant that servers amazing pies and has a killer atmosphere. Wood fired over and wood stove heating the place. Definitely stop in next time you're exhausted from a day of skiing or snowboarding at Mt. Hood and need a bite. Good prices too.

Stopped in here on our way to Bend and the staff were very friendly and restaurant was very cozy. We ordered the pesto breadsticks for $12 and unfortunately didn't open them until we got back to the car, they were burnt on half and way too crispy, very little flavor at all. The cheese which I'm assuming was some sort of Parmesan was tasteless and the pesto didn't taste fresh, again no flavor. Shame as the staff were kind and this would have been a nice yearly stop on our family vacation.

I recommend the "Pesto Breadsticks"#8 pizza for eaters, and the Raviolis! The elk boar sausage was the delight of the day! The waiter was amazing, polite, full of heart and pride in his work and was happy to see us though he never knew us! 5 star recommended!

Oh my!! We have lived up here a little over 3 years and have never been here before 🙄 imagine our disappointment at all the missed opportunities for this amazing food!!!Loved both the vegan/vegetarian options and the elk/wild boar meats. Best of both worlds.Looked to have a wide variety of adult beverages and even offered pizza by the slice 😋We ordered a whole pizza and was shocked when it was brought out in 10-12 min...like what?? Incredibly fast (although I'm sure they have their busy times).The pizza was very well put together...the toppings were fresh and they had some unique combos. I personally appreciated that it wasn't laden down with toppings...it had just the right amount and the thin crust was perfect!The person serving (I'm assuming the owner) was personable and attentive.Overall a very nice place!This is definitely our new pizza place...the few extra miles are so worth it!!

Cozy cabin atmosphere with a cute wood stove. The owner is also the chef so you know there is thoughtfulness in the making of your food. The server was very friendly and attentative. Lots of custom options for the pizza including a plethora of vegan meat options. The pesto breadsticks were to die for and the margherita pizza was everything you would want in a traditional Sicilian pizza.We will definitely be back!

I've had pizzas in cities like Austin, New York, Portland before and I've never had as amazing an experience as I had here. I literally saw the owner of the restaurant bake the pizza for us and it was beyond perfect. We planned to have just a couple of slices and ended up devouring the entire pizza. We are in Government Camp only for a couple of days and we'll be visiting this place again for sure. Definitely recommended to anybody who is around and visiting the Mt Hood area.
