We love Wild Pet Provisions!!!My sweet pup, Monae, and I have been going to Wild Pet Provisions since I adopted her in 2021! When I adopted my pup, she had such a hard time adjusting to the food, and allergens of the Portland area, as she is originally from Mexico.I went to get vet opinions, and we could not find a solution for her tummy. She had a scary pancreatitis flare-up and ended up in the hospital.With that, I knew I needed answers, and was able to to connect with Heather! Heather was able to address Monae's dietary needs, and we came up with a diet that fit Monae's needs. Heather literally saved Monae's life!The Wild Fam is equally amazing - Lindsey, Hoku, and Max are awesome! They made Monae and I feel like part of the wild family. Lindsey gave me frequent tips on how to work with Monae's moods, especially during the first year of Monae's adoption.So much so, if you met Monae her first year, and met her now, she is a completely different pup - confident, happy, and secure.I know for sure the Wild fam differently contributed to her healthy self! We have worked with Heather for Pet Nutritional counseling for over 10 years. We first started with our Gunnar as he was having some extremely odd stomach issues, and I mean ODD! With heathers help we were able to help him overcome these issues and even more. Sadly our Gunnar passed away recently however I give SO MUCH credit to Heather for helping him thrive in life for over 16 years. I FIRMLY believe that Gunnars diet and nutritional supplementation extended his life by many fantastic years.Heather has also helped us with our little girl Maple who has a mysteriously full Gallbladder (her bag of diamonds aka stones). Heather was able to quickly formulate a powerful plan for Maple and she has been doing great since.Heathers knowledge is priceless and not only saves our pups but saves us time and money of our own trial and error. Working with Heather has always been a pleasure, she is not only incredibly knowledgeable but has listening skills to match and often picks up on things that I didn't even realize!If you are on the fence about weather or not you should book a consult, the best thing I can say is "just book it!", you will not be disappointed and your pets will thank you by thriving in their health!I should also mention that it is no surprise that the Staff at Wild Pet Provisions is a 5 Star crew. Where do I even start?Heather’s confidence, investigative nature, and warm servants’ heart has been a BREATH OF FRESH AIR.You know when you meet someone, and the two of you just click? Their energy feels right, and the conversation flows? Since we began working with Heather, who is BRILLIANT, it’s felt like we have been on the same team, the same page, chasing the same goal. We’re not just another name in her portfolio. My naughty, sweet, 13yr old beagle mix, is not just another dog. Our consult felt personal, and intimate in a way that was incredibly comforting. The past 2 years, our Zoie has been aging rather quickly. She was having issues with cysts opening, pancreatitis flare ups, elevated liver enzymes, all sorts of skin allergies and infections, and most recently, a Cushing’s Disease diagnosis. There was a good chunk of time, last fall, where I was fearful that we were nearing the end, bracing that I’d be saying “see ya later” sooner than we were ready to... I expected mediocrity when I scheduled our first consult at Wild, and ever since, we have had nothing but a wonderful experience. We completely overhauled Zoie’s diet, adding in medically appropriate herbs, and are focusing on joy again. A massive weight has been lifted off of my shoulders, knowing that we have options! I have hope again. The gloom, and nightly tears, are a thing of the past. My best friend has that sparkle in her eye again, and she’s got pep in her step! (I mean... she’s 13, so as much pep as a sweet lil senior pup can have, more of a happy prance I’d say.) As we continue to fine tune her routine, and her diet, my mama heart is just so thankful to Heather and the Wild team, for their knowledge, compassion, and the lengths they’ve gone to help my girl live out her best life. ❤

Fantastic customer service and knowledgeable staff! I’ve been coming here since my dog Rio was 3.5 months old and they’ve quickly become like family. My dog is always excited to come here and I’m always left assured that he is getting the best quality food here. Did I mention that the owner is a dog dietitian?! Heather the owner is knowledgeable, kind, caring and backs up what she say’s and recommend’s with the latest studies. Happy to be a part of the Wild Pet Provision Family ❤️🐾

For a smallish store dedicated to the health and happiness of canines and felines, this place has quite the variety of quality goodies. Lots of healthy treat options, raw food, kibble, anti inflammatory tinctures, dapper collars and leashes, sustainable toys, and rain gear. Employees are in the know and exceptional with doggy visitors.

Knowledgeable and kind staff. They even special ordered a Feliway refill for me that wasn't part of their normal stock. Great information on nutrition, supplements and pet conditions. The cute toys and accessories are also always a plus. Great place to go for information and pet needs!

Our Australian Labradoodle, Frank, had been a picky eater with tummy issues since we brought him home. A dog trainer highly recommended consulting Heather Macfarlane to discuss dietary changes. Meeting with Heather was probably the most beneficial and impactful decision I've made for Frank. Frank is no longer a picky eater; he looks forward to mealtime, has treats that support his immune system, and tummy issues are a thing of the past. Wild Pet Provisions carries excellent products for cats and dogs, and is where I do most of my shopping for pet supplies because I trust Heather and the products she purchases for her store.

Great selection of product and knowledgeable, friendly staff. Really happy to have found this locally owned pet store in the neighborhood. Based on a description of my dog’s breed, habits, and age, raw dog food was recommended to me and it has changed the life or my dog (and me consequently) for the better. While a little pricier than some other pet stores, WILD Pet Provisions has the best quality items and cover a range of needs. They source their products really well and are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. I’d rather pay more for quality products that will keep my dog healthy than cut costs and risk spending more time at the vet. Because of this, I really appreciate and trust WILD Pet Provisions.

We’ve been working with Heather for a little over a year now, and to be honest, I’m not exactly sure what we were doing before we met her. She’s a true healer and empath who simply wants to help. Both our cat and dog have seen her for medical issues as well as maintenance. Humans work with nutritionists all the time; it only makes sense that the same approach and care be taken with our pets! This place is amazing! They treat everyone as a close neighbor; personally welcoming each guest and their furry friends. Treats are offered for the furry guests and excellent, knowledgeable staff are there to guide the humans in making the healthiest choices for their pets needs. Heather saved my dog Abby’s life and she saved mine, really. I was at wits end. Abby was diagnosed with diabetes which requires food with insulin, and my vet’s’ food advice was not working. Abby was slowly starving, being extremely picky and not eating, which meant no glucose stabilization. Heather expanded my options to include raw, which sustained Abby until I could start adding home cooking. I was stressed out and not trusting that anyone had a solution when I had a consult with Heather. I’m thankful she was so patient and knowledgeable. She has a whole world of knowledge that my vet’s knew nothing about. I needed the vet’s for the insulin, but without Heather’s knowledge of dog nutrition, Abby would have died. 4 months later she’s close to stabilized. As am I. Heather is phenomenal. I was skeptical of ‘wholistic.’ I now don’t know what I would have done without Heather’s help.

Great local pet shop. Lots of dry and canned foods but also freezers full of raw food. Self serve bulk treats. They offer animal nutrition consults, and occasionally have pop up doggie nail services. Very friendly staff, bright and modern space, the tiny parking lot behind the store can be a bit difficult to navigate with larger vehicles .

They are knowledgeable and have a pretty wide variety of products. As a sole proprietorship, I consider them 'more local' than some small chains. If you want to buy a case of food, you can get a 10% discount.
