We went to the store looking for a very specific type of food for our dog to deal with some recent health issues. Matthew was extremely knowledgeable, polite and helpful. He helped us look at options and find a food that is appropriate for our dog's dietary needs. He explained the store's policy about returns in case the dog did not like the food. We are very happy with the choice we made, and so is our dog! We will return to buy more of this food, and we highly recommend you talk to Matthew if you have a question.

I honestly like this smaller strip mall version for the petco chain. Same products, same great service., just in a more quick on the go style setting. This non packed with people version is better for my fast paced lifestyle. I highly recommend unleashed by petco for those pet owners that want a easy in and easy out experience.

The self wash left a lot to be desired. The place I took my dog where we used to live had dozens of shampoos and conditioners to choose from, grooming tools, ear cleaning wipes, doggy cologne, bandanas, etc and was $6 cheaper. This place offered me one bottle of unscented dog shampoo, a couple of hand towel sized towels, and the use of their tub. There’s no separate drying tables so they have to stand in the wet tubs to get blow dried. This would all be fine if it was $10, but $20 to essentially just use their tub is ridiculous.

Staff at this location are…meh. They have a slight attitude, and the hours are not consistent. The burnside location is a significantly better experience.

Unfriendly staff, self service pet wash apparently closes early (5:30) and can often feature a broken dryer and/or poorly stocked amenities. Don’t waste your time.

Everytime I go in here the self wash bath is closed. Every time it’s open the staff seems annoyed that I’m using the self wash. Why have a service you don’t want to offer? Too many wasted trips, not returning.

They are always very nice.only problem I have with any Petco or PetSmart lately is that they started having in-house dog trainers and sometimes those people have to walk around the shop and try to sell you their services. it can get pretty annoying but sometimes I'm able to deflect them successfully LOLWhat is great about PetCo Unleashed is that you can go over and spend $12 to use a dog washing station with all the shampoos and soaps you need along with towels and a dryer and everything it is amazing inconvenient

It's a great smaller location in inner SE and it's never busy. People are friendly there and they have a great selection of doggie apparel. My gal looks so cute with her dress on :)

Took Darla for first self service bath. Staff was friendly and walked me through the process. They even helped me get her in the tub. It was $15 per dog and included everything from shampoo, conditioner, towels and blow drier.

Change your hours on Google when you change them for real. It's not hard. I have liked this store for a long time, but now can't count on it being open when it says it is. I'm a small business owner and I know staffing is hard right now. Just make the hours change on Google for your loyal customers' sake, please.

Adorable toys, easy to find balls. Friendly enough staff without being overbearing.Slightly difficult to find when I was using Google maps, maybe it is because it is just past an intersection.

Inconsistent store hours, almost never open when I visit. 7/23/2023 store says open until 7, locked doors at 5 pm. I would call ahead before driving here, don’t waste your time.

The store is really good but I had a small inconvenience where I have bought a dog collar at first a large size one but it was too big for my dog no problem didn’t even returned it, so I stop by again and bought a medium size instead … well it turns out that this one was too small for my English bulldog female 1 year on the dot, so here I am today looking for a collar so I asked one of the employees if I could bring my dog to measure a collar because she doesn’t have one at this moment the lady was like sure but the dog needs to be on a leash .. 😑 at this point I thank her for the help and walkout the store I felt like she didn’t even listen to why I ask her instead of just walking in without asking

This is a clean store, good selection of cat products and staff is always friendly. I particularly appreciated seeing a sign suggesting alternative, healthier Cat food that's actually inexpensive.

This is the type of place that you have to be aware of who you are when you walk in because if you are not somebody they think has money they will not acknowledge you or offer assistance. At one time I used to tell people, everyone I talk to you to come here, but sadly things have changed and I would never shop here again, nor would I put my money in this place.

Clean, never too busy. Employees are incredibly helpful, nice and can help you find what you need. Very knowledgeable about returns, helped me with some weird transactions. Also, these folks have helped me more than once by giving me insight into the supply chain challenges, and helping find products.

Wow I've been coming here for a long time. Today I tried to return 2 jackets I bought there, I had my receipt. I guess the previous person that sold them scanned the same jacket twice since they were the the same price but different jackets, well when trying to return them they said they couldn't return one of them because it wasn't the same. That's not our fault That's the fault of whoever scanned them. They were giving me slack about returning the one that wasn't on the receipt. I told them we come here all the time. So they said we'll give you store credit, took both jackets and gave us store credit for only one jacket. So they tried to take a 49.99$ jacket that we bought there and not give a refund for it. If we didn't check the receipt before we left they would have taken 49.99 from us .Not cool man🙄. I will no longer be shopping here

Good service, but they need to update their hours on here (for both Portland locations). I've wasted fuel on multiple occasions now... It looks like their hours are now 10a-5:30p. While I typed this, I watched 3 other people try to get in, following google's posted hours. Really frustrating.

So friendly! They helped me find a new type of treat for my dog that she absolutely loves. Everyone at the store was nice, and were very friendly to the dogs who came into the store! My dog gets so excited when we pull up.

The staff are nice and friendly. I took my husky to get a bath and the facility is well cared for and clean. I didn't like the smell of the shampoo they provide but that's a personal preference. Next time I'll bring my own. It's a great deal for those of us with larger dogs who need baths. Only costs $10 per dog.

Staff is cool and laid back. Lots of selection. Decent prices. Great place. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars isn't of any fault of their own....its because PetCo stopped carrying the brand of food my dog likes. But they have lots of others he's fond of.
