Myself, my wife, and our Corgi, Pumpkin, have been through a few trainers before and nobody has taken the time to connect with us, plan training, explain their methodology, and walk us through everything as much as Heidi at Noble Woof. Our Corgi was starting to get reactive to other dogs and we were freaking out because we wanted another dog but didn't want everyday to be a barroom brawl for the both of them. Heidi helped us out, our Corgi is doing MUCH better with her reactivity now, and Heidi gave us a written plan that we can follow when we do find out next puppy, so that we can set our dogs up for success.Highly recommend this place and Heidi as a trainer. 10/10 will be bringing my new puppy here as well.

My dog and I, Dutch recently attended the Relaxation and focus work class with Christina and Jackson. The facility was inviting, the class was thoughtfully set up, the curriculum was clear and easy to implement and they do such a wonderful job of trying to set each dog up for success.Christina does a great job of explaining the skills and making things easy to understand from our dogs perspective. I’m so happy with what we learned, the ability to practice those skills in a controlled environment and I’m already seeing better settling skills and easier communication between me and my dog.Their patience, knowledge and commitment to teaching humans how to communicate with our dogs is evident and I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to work with them. I look forward to future classes!

My dog Margot and I have been working with Heidi at Noble Woof over the course of several months, and I have only one thing to say: HEIDI IS INCREDIBLE!!! Okay, actually I have a lot to say, but that is the overarching theme.Margot is a Malinois mix — extremely smart, driven, and active. Perhaps a bit too smart and active than I ever could have imagined and certainly more than I was prepared for when adopting a puppy. :mild-panic: She had been through multiple group puppy classes, but I noticed such a significant changes in her behavior and skills since working independently with Heidi. She tailored every session to meet Margot where she was at, and build upon skills in a way that obviously clicked for Margot. More importantly, she was able to provide additional resources and readings, and understood where I was at as person, so that the information and trainings made sense to me. This helped me be more consistent and engaged with Margot and our training together outside of our scheduled sessions, which we all know is SO IMPORTANT!Our time with Heidi not only helped Margot become a better dog, but it help me become a better dog parent. Additionally, Heidi is an all around pleasant person to work with. She is smart and funny and compassionate and obviously very very passionate her craft. I cannot recommend her enough!! So much so that I've booked additional trainings with her for some more focused skill training for Margot, and some for her brother Nigel too!Thank you Heidi and Noble Woof team! :)

Nobel Wolf and our trainer Verena changed our lives. We have 2 dogs a German Shepherd and a Lab/pit mix who are rescues. We moved from the Midwest to Oregon and our dogs struggled with all the changes and became extremely reactive to other dogs and then each other. We had fights in our living room, it was scary and very stressful. Verena worked with us and it took time, lots of feedback and communication but we have made so much progress. I feel confident that I have the tools when I find myself in a stressful situation with my dogs that I can act and diffuse the situation. Lots of positive reinforcement, games, confidence building, and continually reinforcing all of it. I am thankful for everything Nobel Wolf and Verena did for us and my pups. We keep working every day and are a million miles from where we were and it only gets better. I’m grateful for their support and extensive behavioral knowledge.

I cannot recommend Heidi @ Noble Woof enough. My dog Frankie and I have been working with Heidi for several months and we've seen huge improvements in Frankie's behavior and our overall relationship. Heidi really listened to me when I shared what we were struggling with and helped develop a training curriculum that was easy to follow and very effective. Frankie is a much happier and fulfilled pup and I now have the skills and knowledge to better support her needs. Plus Heidi was a real joy to get to know and spend time with! 10/10 would recommend!

We decided to go in and get help training our mastiff puppy Rex as he is, and will be a big boy. Reviews here were good, but we have been working with Heidi and she is great. We've had big dogs before, but it was amazing to have someone helping and guiding our training, as Rex had some new behaviors and challenges we hadn't dealt with before.Heidi does an amazing job working with Rex. Even more so she does a great job communicating with us, helping us know how to handle situations and keep consistency for Rex. She has also done well at incorporating our kids into the training. If you're on the fence about getting help with training, I can say it is 100% worth it.

Heidi has been amazing. I was very overwhelmed when I got my first puppy and interviewed several companies to get the best fit for both Luna and I. Noble Woof certainly had the most comprehensive program to help all of us stay on track with training. Heidi has also been very helpful in problem solving with my hectic schedule and accommodating as well. Luna is doing amazing and we have made great strides in our understanding of each other and ability to work together. All I wanted was a well behaved dog and we are well on our way!

Valerie at Noble Woof has been amazing for us. When we started we had a list of issues that we wanted to work on with our reactive cattle dog. Valerie established a plan for each one that was clear and easy to understand. She worked on the issues with our dog but also coached us to be able to learn and teach them as well. Valerie follows up each session with an email recap that contains notes and videos on what was worked on. She is professional and shows up on time! Our dog gets so excited to see her and now barks and whimpers when she leaves. We've just signed up for a second package of sessions.

Heidi has been wonderful to work with. Her knowledge, experience, and patience have been transformative in, not only in training my dog, but training me in! The first few series of trainings were focused on establishing foundational skills with your companion, before taking on more real-world situations.Noble Woof provides amazing resources and information to start training, and Heidi translates that incredibly well into a specially crafted series of sessions focused on your pup's needs.Overall, I've felt much more confident, comfortable, and connected to my dog after working with Noble Woof!

We enlisted Noble Woof to help us with our newly adopted dog's separation anxiety issues. We were paired with Kaia who not only helped us with learning our dog's body language and anxiety signals, but went above and beyond by sharing additional strategies and training techniques to manage our dog's especially mouthy/destructive behavior. The trainers at Noble Woof are truly dedicated to ensuring everyone is set up for success, and our dog is now much more adjusted, and everyone (especially our tasty furniture) is happy now :) I can't recommend Kaia and Noble Woof enough. The experience has been life-changing for our home.

This post is a review of Heidi and her private dog training sessions.I have been a noble woof fan for a few years. Every time I’d meet a really well behaved dog, I’d ask who their trainer was and 90% of the time, it was someone at noble woof. I didn’t have the financial means to pay for the private sessions when I finally got my puppy so I purchased multiple on-line training modules through noble woof (these are fantastic) and did group training elsewhere. By the time they started offering classes and day boarding/classes, my dog Sugar was too old and then she went from a lover of other dogs to being reactive over night. After seeing an escalation in Sugar’s reactivity- I decided I would find the money and go to the best. That’s when I met Heidi at Noble Woof. My only regret is not getting the private package sooner. These sessions have been worth every penny and more.I opted for the training package that allowed me to work with Heidi and my dog simultaneously. Im convinced that approx 90% of dog training for me is teaching me how to behave with and understand my dog and hold me accountable to practicing the skills. And wow does Heidi do this well. Heidi is so knowledgeable, kind and patient with my partner and I and our dog. If I do something incorrect for the millionth time, she will kindly remind me, tell me why I should be doing it differently and makes sure I understand. She’s also funny and laughs at all of my bad jokes so that helps make it easier when I’m feeling incompetent.Since the first training session, my partner and I agree that my dog has become progressively more well behaved. Sugar loves Heidi and gets very excited when I tell her it’s a dig training day. Heidi comes to our house and we also meet her at the park. We practice skills in real life situations and in ways that Sugar and I need. I practice them on my own and then we come back together again. Heidi lets me choose what we work on depending on what Sugar and I need. It’s amazing. Sugar has some very specific triggers that don’t show up all of the time and thanks to Heidi’s skills and patience, we have been able to learn more about them and come up with plans to work on them together. Heidi will even help us go up to strangers so we can practice my dog meeting new people. She also brings her dog sometimes so we can work on the reactivity. We only have one more training session left with Heidi and I know Sugar is really going to miss her. I’ll miss the support but I know I’ve learned so many things about myself, my dog, my relationship and the things we all need to be happy and content! And soon- sugar will be a secure enough to have a dog friend move in. And to do day training and that’s so exciting. All thanks to Heidi!

We love Brie! We have nothing but great things to say about her. She was recommended to us after our dog developed dog reactivity where she’d bark and lunge at dogs every time we’d go out. We trained with Brie for about a year and she’s incredibly knowledgable, well spoken, and fun to work with. She gave us the tools to help us in our sessions and beyond. Our dog now reliably comes to our side whenever a dog is around. We’ve even been rushed by off leash dogs and our dog won’t react at all. The progress we made with her is a huge relief. I recommend Brie to everyone! She’s truly the best you’ll find in Portland.

Heidi was the best private trainer we could ask for! When we brought home our northern breed samoyed Kuma we new we had our work cut out for us. Kuma was a very spunky and sassy girl who would become ecstatic when meeting new people and hated not being the center of attention. Heidi helped us understand her body language and gave us numerous skills for dealing with our drama queen. Before meeting with Heidi Kuma would get overwhelmed in public spaces begging to say hi to everyone in sight. After training with Heidi we can now take her to cafes and cross pups and people with a calm collective pup. Of course she still gets excited to see her favorite people but continuing practicing the skills Heidi taught us has proven to be vital.I highly recommend Heidi if you are dealing with a vocal moody pup or if you just want to learn more about the array of creative outlets there are for growing dogs.

If you are a client of Brie’s… you count your blessings everyday. She is the most passionate, patient, and empathetic professional I’ve had the pleasure of working with. The biggest problem I faced with my dog was that I wasn’t understanding when he was at his threshold. Brie was able to quickly identify this and immediately gave me the tools to interpret Jet’s emotional state better.Jet also has difficulty self regulating and Brie taught me ways that I could shape self regulation behavior that will ultimately benefit all aspects of our lives. Brie is easy to work with because she will meet you where you are. I mean that in every way. She can adjust to the different learning styles of dogs and people, she offers INCREDIBLE zoom sessions that I plan on continuing well into the future, and she genuinely cares about building a better relationship between every dog and their person. She was also able to recognize that Jet thrives when learning fun tricks and that has helped us positively reinforce training even more. Somehow training has become a reward?! Thanks Brie!!

I would rate Heidi a 10/10 recommendation. She is a really nice and patient person. Me and my dog Loki have been working with Heidi for a several months. Everytime after our session, she would list a lot of details with her observations of Loki and gave me really useful advices. Also, everytime when I have questions that needs to email her, she would reply back to me quickly with well explanation and suggestions. With Heidi's help, I get to know my big boy Loki more and I did see improvements on him. Plus, She did really listen to my concerns and be thoughtful for me and Loki. I cannot thank her enough, so highly recommend Heidi and she is a lovely person to spend time with!!

Brie is one of the most respectable, kind and caring dog trainers I know. Her use of positive reinforcement and engagement techniques not only helps strengthen the mental fortitude and critical thinking skills of your dog but also challenges you to engage with them in new and exciting ways that furthers your ability to connect with them.Jet is an Australian Shepherd that has high reactivity and can struggle with sensory overload or hyper focus. Brie helped with engage/disengage training to give Jet tools that help him react less strongly to triggers he sees. With puzzle and relaxation training he has been able to shift away from becoming too focused on one particular toy or object/subject to the point of frustration and loss of patience and towards a better time in breaking away when necessary to take a break.Overall, Brie has been an incredible help and knows exactly what both you and your dog will need in the growth of training and learning. I couldn't be happier with her services and would recommend her to anyone looking for a dog trainer.

We returned to Noble Woof to continue working on our dog's reactivity to strangers in and around the home. This time around we worked with Verena. She was amazing!! We already can't wait to work with her again. After a thorough consultation to share how our dog was doing and what we want to get out of training, we hit the ground running with sessions. We really appreciated how thoughtful and careful each session was. We incrementally built up to more complex situations and built our muscle memory and confidence along the way.One of Verena's best attributes when coaching is her ability to give you space to think through how to solve problems, followed by swift guidance and tips if needed. You very much feel part of the solution rather than being told what to do. It enabled us to feel much more confident moving forward. It's evident Verena loves what she does and it shows in her work! We loved working with her and we are now feeling more equipped than ever in situations where we previously helped hopeless.

I've learned so much in various classes (Relaxation & Focus Work with Christina, Puppy 101 with Jaime and Luanne, Puppy 102 with Brie and Valerie, and at the puppy socials mainly with Christina and Jackson) at Noble Woof.I cannot say good enough things about the puppy socials. They were huge for my puppy to learn other puppies were safe, and I also learned so much from watching the trainers work with my puppy including body language, keeping puppies playing under threshold with intentional breaks, making sure everyone's boundaries are respected, helping my dog settle in stressful or over-stimulating environments, etc.The puppy 101 class was still early in my ongoing training journey, so I felt overwhelmed at times trying to manage my puppy, listen, and then successfully implementing the lesson. I probably really only started "getting" it at the puppy 102 class, which builds on the fundamentals learned in puppy 101. I also randomly had a very small puppy 102 class, and I really appreciated that it felt like a semi-private training session and that really made a difference in progressing through the coursework. In between puppy 101 and 102, I took the Relaxation and Focus Work class with Christina and it was seriously life-changing for me and my puppy. I felt like the information given was somehow both approachable for a beginner and complex and nuanced enough that it can still inform how I think about training my dog today. I particularly loved how it sneakily taught how to control antecedents in order to get the behavior desired, how the activities were structured so that your dog received a high rate of reinforcement (huge for my puppy) which built so much trust and motivation within our relationship, and it was a great foundation for my puppy in particular, who in her adolescent prime, was showing a lot of impulsivity and lack of intention in movement and thought (something which we are continuing to work on).I highly recommend Noble Woof's group classes and puppy socials! We will hopefully be signing up for another class soon!

We completed 7 training sessions over the course of a year for our anxious pup who was displaying resource guarding behaviors. Brie has completely changed our lives and the life of our dog—we now have the tools & resources to manage when needed, and have done a ton of work to reduce the anxiety & resource guarding over all—while before we felt like we were constantly on guard and managing undesirable behaviors, we now get to see and enjoy our dog’s playful, affectionate, and curious personality much more often with very little management on the day-to-day.

I highly recommend Noble Woof! We contacted Brie when we realized that we were in over our heads with our new adopted puppy. He was reactive, very vocal, anxious, and couldn't even calm down enough to sleep with any activity in the room. I had tried every online training course there was. I felt as though I had the knowledge, but was failing with the implementation. Brie was fantastic in not only observing our dog and his learning style, but also in training us. We have learned how to read his body language, how to respond to certain behaviors, how to set him up for success, and most importantly we have learned that his behavior today is not necessarily indicative of how his behavior will always be. I can honestly say that although he has been our most challenging dog, I have a better relationship with him than any other dog I have owned.Brie will take the time to get to know you and your dog. She will adapt training games and routines based on the dog's personality. She is very knowledgeable and never stops learning for the sake of advocating for dogs and their owners. The amount of time she spends with each client is well worth her fee. At 18 months, our "puppy" still has some maturing to do and we have the tools to help him, thank you Brie!

Verena at Noble Woof is an outstanding trainer. She is extremely knowledgeable, patient, kind and truly cares about the relationship between owner and dog. Verena was able to break things down into manageable steps and an absolute pleasure to work with. We will be sticking with her and Noble Woof for all our current and future dog training needs. She is seriously a miracle worker.

Working with Heidi the past couple of months have been invaluable. We have been working on reactivity in my dog Iggy, and have seen a significant change in his ability to redirect his attention and calm him down in stressful situations. Not only has Iggy learned many new skills, but we have also learned what we need to do as pet parents to give Iggy a fulfilled and enriched life. We have tried other training in the past, but have not experienced this clear of a path to success until starting these sessions. Could not recommend Heidi and Noble Woof more!

We got to work with Kaia over the past few months and it was so beneficial. Kaia is so knowledgeable and creative when it comes to figuring out training tactics that work for our dog. Our dog LOVES Kaia and we are so grateful to them for the strides we’ve made and the skills we now have to continue this work.

I have been taking my baby Muji to Noble Woof since the puppy socials days. I have owned dogs before and thought I knew a lot about dog behavior and training. Training with NW is almost like getting access to a new pair of glasses to see the needs behind behaviors that I just wasn't seeing before. All the NW trainers I've worked with *get* dogs in a BEAUTIFUL way and they have helped me strengthen my communication and deepen my relationship with my dog in a way that I didn't even know was possible.Muji has been accessing weekly drop-off training to build skills and confidence through his adolescent puppy phase, and he was even brutally attacked by an off-leash dog last month. Because he had SUCH a solid foundation of training and communication with me, we are working through the trauma and bouncing back amazingly. I can see his triggers and signs of what he needs so much more clearly. I am so proud of him and so, so grateful that we had the structure of training in place BEFORE a trauma happened.Brie, Jackson, and the team are not phased by any behaviors or setbacks. They have a super positive, dog-strengths focused mindset and HUGE levels of patience and intuition with these babies. I am a stan for life!!!!!!!!

When our family brought home our new puppy I knew training was essential. I wanted our family pet to be able to join us when we travel and be happy and content in a home with four kids and two cats. I researched trainers until my eyes crossed. When I happened upon Noble Woof I was struck by all of their five star reviews and the fact that the trainers use only positive reinforcement and science based training techniques. I decided to enroll our puppy Luka into the Noble Puppy Program. I chose the package that includes a 90 minute consultation and six 60 minute follow up sessions. Kate Johnson is the puppy specialist we trained with. She was incredible to work with!! She was so kind to Luka and it was adorable to watch his excitement when he would see her at our appointments. But even more importantly she was wonderful at training me! Training takes time, energy, consistency and hard work. It can be overwhelming thinking about everything involved. Kate was patient, insightful and an incredible source of knowledge into how a puppy communicates and learns. She taught me how to use positive reinforcement and to reward Luka for the behavior I wanted to see. After each training session I received session recaps along with videos that reminded me what to work on over the following weeks. These were indispensable in the training process. Kate was always quick to respond to any questions I had. She also guided me toward safe places to socialize Luka and board him when necessary. I’ll miss training with Kate but I’m so grateful for what she taught me and Luka!!!

My husband and I always imagined having a really well trained dog that we felt comfortable taking most places with us including other's houses, restaurants, hiking, etc without having a doubt of worry. Brie has walked us through every other week some GREAT tips and tricks for helping develop a confident and social dog that can settle. We can't imagine going with anyone else. Not only does Brie help us understand how to train, she helps us understand why training Echo particular ways will help us in the long run. We started training with Brie the second week we had Echo at 8 weeks and every time Brie leaves our house, we feel encouraged and more equipped. Not only do I love Brie as a trainer, but truly enjoy her as a person as well. So thankful for her, and can't imagine our life without her.

Brie is a treasure among dog trainers— seriously, I cannot say enough good things. I hired her to help me and my 7-year-old husky mix, Juneau, brush up on recall after seeing the results of her work with two husky puppies I follow on Instagram. I'd had a lot of unpleasant experiences with R+ trainers before: I found that they were either impatient with me or totally incapable of motivating Juneau, who isn't reliably food-, toy-, or play-motivated, and has really high prey drive. In contrast, Brie is completely unfazed by dogs who are just never going to care that much or very consistently about cheese, and has diverse approaches and tools for keeping them engaged (that actually WORK). Just as importantly, she's a great teacher of humans (and I say this as a professional teacher of humans): She can explain the same thing in multiple ways; she rationalizes what we're doing so that I really understand the theory and how it connects to the game plan for my dog; she provides a lot of different options for accessing session content (so I don't have to take furious notes); and she NEVER makes me feel bad when I mess up.We shifted to Zoom training when the pandemic set in, and honestly the quality of the sessions wasn't even slightly impacted by the remote format: Brie is so good at reading what's going on between me and my dog that she can do it effectively from a video chat screen. The pandemic also changed my training priorities from recall to things like coming in and out of the backyard reliably, and games that I could use to keep my dog happy and tired without daycare or dog parks, and Brie really gave us a library of options and helped me customize them to suit Juneau's ever-shifting tastes. Working with her really improved the quality of life for everyone (humans and canine) in our household during the spring lockdown. When we did get into good off-leash situations this summer, Juneau was much more attentive than he had been in the past— despite the fact that we hadn't done as much work on recall with Brie as I had originally envisioned. This actually isn't surprising, because everything we have been doing is about the relationship between Juneau and I and our communication, and when those things are strengthened, the gains show up all over the place.Clearly I could go on and on, but I just can't overstate how impressed I've been by Brie's skills and how grateful I am to have stumbled upon NobleWoof. I had really gotten to a point where I thought Juneau and I were just done with training for good, and he had as much education as a dog of his temperament and an owner of my skills and experience (who also needs to, like, earn a living) were ever going to be able to manage, but now I really feel like there is a road to go as far as we want to with this— and that the trip will actually be enjoyable.

My dog Cloud has radically improved on separation distress since using the drop-off training! It’s also such a nice perk to be able to have a trainer continue the work we’ve been doing in other areas, such as ‘place’ and settling in new places. Heidi was a dream to work with!
