Love Natural Grocers on Powell in Portland. They have a highly edited wine selection but offer organic & carry only local beer. You must try the NG sea salt caramel coffee OMG don’t add a thing just drink and enjoy. One of the managers (I think) Aubrey very helpful & friendly. Turned me on to the bulk spices OMG soooo cheap. She is a natural grocer 4 sure! Sign up for their N Power program. Lots of great perks & giveaways. 1 thing no public bathroom so just go before you go.

Definitely won't be back. There are a handful of things a large store should be required to have, and not having a bathroom available for the people spending money (especially when the store is that overpriced) is unacceptable. Do better.

My favorite grocery store in the area. Really appreciate the staff and the fact that they carry a large selection of Fody products. Strange hours though... who closes at 8:36 exactly lol. Not a big deal but pretty funny.

I like this grocery store (and shop here personally on occasion. However, I work for lyft/instacart/doordash and have a hard time finding places to use the restroom. They have 3 bathrooms with code locks that CAN NO LONGER BE USED BY CUSTOMERS, no code on receipt, no help from any associates. Why is this? What the heck?

Came here to shop but needed to use the restroom. Being that they don’t allow their customers to have the code to the bathroom, I had to leave and shop elsewhere. Dumb on management. Women need to have access to a toilet.

No one is allowed to use the bathrooms. They are there, but inaccessible to customers. It is an odd experience to regularly shop at a place, to give them literally hundreds of dollars a month for food, and to not be allowed to use the bathroom while I'm there. It seems really really selfish of them. It IS really selfish of them. I mean, I assume they do not wish to allocate resources towards keeping the bathrooms clean/safe so they just keep them closed. How can they not have the money for that when they charge so much for their food AND underpay their staff? Greed, it's just greed.The produce is so sad: wilted, old, lacking vitality.The lights are so bright.On certain days they are out of so many things.One of the cashiers yells NEXT CUSTOMER which makes me jump and is triggering.One of the cashiers did not believe that my client had placed a special order. He just would not listen to me or take me seriously. (He just couldn't find it).There's not enough space on the register to put your bags and only a few of the cashiers will bag for you. It's unclear whether or not it is part of their job or yours.The parking lot has giant raised bumps in it that make it extremely hard to push your shopping cart over it.The good parts: there are some super kind cashiers, like Margaret and a few others. They are so good at being patient and calm.

First time visiting this store! Ari helped me at checkout and was absolutely lovely. They helped me get signed up for rewards and gave me a quick rundown on products I could get discounts on. I appreciated the genuine, quick and informative interaction.

I am often in this area and have had numerous horrendously negative experiences here. They have denied me access to the restroom even though I have health issues that make it sometimes an urgent need to go to the restroom while shopping. Additionally, they have denied me the ability to return a couple dollars worth of bottles twice now, even though some of those bottles were purchased at their store. They escalated my inquiry into why they were denying me bottle service by involving management and two separate employees, embarrassing me publicly in the process.On top of all of this, the store is often out of stock. When they do have what I want, they tend to follow me around and stare at me as though I'm stealing when I stand for an extended period doing price comparisons and reading ingredient labels.This is by far the most dehumanizing experience at a grocery store one can have. I'm legitimately flabbergasted at how poorly this store treats its customers.

I don’t shop here because even as a customer they won’t allow you to use their restrooms. It’s off limits to everyone except their employees. I charge my car at the EVGO stations on the lot but I don’t buy anything from them.

Management was publicly berating employees in front of customers. The produce section was pretty eh, there was a lot of bruised or almost too ripe/rotten fruit. The rest of the stuff was okay and decently priced, their bulk aisle was good. I think the worst was just the treatment of management to staff, the environment in there felt weird and off. I hope they learn to treat their employees like human beings.

I do instacart and get an order here every so often.I barely leave reviews but today was when I realized I needed to.This store is my least favorite to do this job at. The app doesn’t have aisle numbers so it’s really hard to find things if you’re new to the store.9/10 the things customers request on the app are out. They are ALWAYS out of things.The produce we have to choose from is a usually in horrible condition.And today, I had to use the bathroom really bad but guess what? They’re all for ‘employees only’ALL THREE of their single bathrooms WITH codes are for employees only.What takes me 5-15 min to shop a similar order at other stores, takes me 20-40 here.People who work there are usually cool and friendly!

I used to avoid this place because employees made anyone without a north face vest and Fanny pack feel like an annoyance. But the new staff are amazing!!! I had no choice but to go in today and I’m glad I did. Will definitely continue to shop here again! And keep up those fabulous clearance items!! ♥️

I come here to use the EVgo charging station and shop but the fact that I am not a drug attic or homeless and they won’t let me use the restroom EVEN AFTER SPENDING $ here makes me not want to come to this location. Get it together y’all, don’t punish your PAYING customers.

Love this place. They carry my favorite vegan sandwiches, most of my favorite vegetables, they carry my favorite flourless bread, they have my favorite Japanese Barbeque Sauce. If I lived closer they'd be my favorite, first-choice store.

I love this store so much & would normally give a 5 star review but am disappointed they don’t have a public bathroom. It really shows the pregnant and disabled community that their access needs don’t matter. I wish they at least had a bathroom with a code or key.

This was the most uncomfortable experience I’ve ever had at a natural grocers.I came in with my mom on a snow day just to get out of the house and grab a few things and the staff seems to take turns following and watching us but not one of them greeted us or offered help the whole time we were in the store. I hate the feeling of being watched like they think I’m going to steal from the store. It made our trip super unpleasant.

Saw cashier (Sarah was her name I believe) walk away from the register as a customer went to check out with her. Customer was then left clueless as to why she was walked away from, and left alone at the register. I instantly left. Embarrassing and poor customer service

Great selection of affordable, natural and ethical products. The employees are also really friendly and knowledgeable. They also don't have a sexist wage gap like Fred Meyers or a horrible overlord owner like Whole Foods, which is too expensive anyway, so go to Natural Grocers instead of those places! It's awesome :D

I'd give this store 4.5 if I could as I frequent this particular store whenever I can. The .5 point is due to their keto offerings which are limited, though getting better. They do carry Lily's chocolate, fabulous hard seltzer and hard kombucha offerings. 💚

Most of the customers are shopping with their own bags! I love that! It's so much better for the environment!You can get here very good things to make a lot by yourself, like toothpaste etc.Also you get very good soap plastic free!The cashier's are very friendly!
