I have been so happy with Mudpuppies Grooming for 3 years now! I brought my rescue to them for her first grooming after I adopted her, and Heather and Kim were so sweet and gentle with her - and that’s how they've always been ever since! They do a beautiful job grooming, and they check in with me every appointment to ask about how the cut is working and what I’d like. I totally trust the grooming team at Mudpuppies and I appreciate so much how sweet they are to my dog. I wouldn't think about going anywhere else!

I went here with my dog for a walk in nail trim and it went great! They were friendly, fast, and my dog and I were happy. My dog is semi iffy on nail trims and we’ve been turned away from places once or twice so I’m really happy that this went well.

I have taken two dogs with dense coats and very specific grooming instructions to Mud Puppies at this location and they have been worked on by two different groomers - both cuts were very good.We don’t have show dogs or anything like that, but I do like the pups to look clean and balanced and have good lines and that isn’t always easy to pull off with our exited dogs. I was frustrated with some inconsistent cuts and missed directions at other groomers and Mud Puppies got it all right and did a great job at a reasonable price.

I’m so happy I found Mudpuppies after my longterm groomer retired.As my dog progresses into his golden years, he has gotten increasingly intolerant of being groomed. He’s already a tripod with special needs so I know it’s not an easy time.Aaron has been so patient and understanding with my old guy and has gone above and beyond for us.It’s also very easy to schedule an appointment and there are normally openings within one or two weeks which is amazing.Thank you, Mudpuppies!

Our Golgendoodle is groomed here. He has an autoimmune disorder and, in the last month, has had two emergency surgeries to remove intestinal blockages caused by ingesting his own hair. The last surgery was necessary on the day he was scheduled for grooming. Today, four days after that second surgery, the owner and another groomer cut his hair short despite the fact that he could not be bathed and had an 8 inch belly incision stapled shut. They were great and their help may prove key to keeping our 2.5 year old boy alive! 🐾💕

Very impressed with owner and this establishment! They were able to help out a friend who is low income and suffering from medical issues. She willing offered to trim their dogs nails which was so needed and they couldn't afford the service. Not many would help out, but helping others is a reflection of their integrity and customer service! Thank you so much for helping this family out!!

I chose to bring my dogs out of convenience and the first couple of times they groomed him it was really good but the last couple of times has just been ridiculously stupid one time and it was totally wrong and so he looked like he didn't have a room and then I took him back the next day and they still couldn't get it right and the last time I took him once again they still didn't get them right so I'm not to go there anymore I'm going to let people make their own choice of course but I wouldn't take my dog there if I would suggest that somebody else

Editing my review to up it to 5 stars.We have been going here for about a year now and every experience has been great! We walked in today for a nail trim and my pup was taken back as soon as we walked in, returned swiftly and in good spirits.All of the staff I've interacted with here have been amazing. I'm grateful for this place in the neighborhood and will continue to bring my dog here for nail trims. Next step may be a full groom now that they have gained our trust and continued business.__________________________________________________First time here and I will be back!My dog super hates having her nails trimmed and being in new places around other dogs. She was stressed out going in and apprehensive when I passed her off but she did not seem traumatized or scared when she came out after getting her nails done.Mudpuppies offers walk in nail trims and she was taken to the back for her trim almost immediately by one of their staff who seemed super friendly.Even though my tiny Chihuahua is a bit of a drama queen and a handful with nail trims, it only took them like 5-7 minutes to have her back in my arms. When she was, she seemed in good spirits and did not present as having been traumatized by the experience (which I honestly expected). I will definitely be going back to see if it goes smoothly for my wee dog for my next visit.If my next visit is as great I will update to 5 stars. I received service at Lombard location for my dogs nails to be trimmed on 15th ofJanuary. His nails were not trimmed properly There were two or three of his nails that were still long and weren’t trimmed back. He was scratching me every time he would jump up on me .I wasn’t able to go back right away because of the weather but I went in today a week later to let them know that I wanted them cut properly. I was treated very rude. a service that was not completed in the first place. They tried to charge me again and was very rude to me in front of other clients.I will not return for a service here anymore..👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾

First off, the entire team at Mudpuppies is great! Everyone is so kind and professional!!!My personal experience has been with the fantastic, DARCY. She’s been grooming Truffle since he was a young puppy and without her I don’t know what state Truff would be in 😬. He is a Shiba Inu, and has stayed true to the breeds reputation. He loves her, but definitely puts up a big protest when it comes to grooming. She is so patient, fair, and efficient with him! I have no idea how she does it, but he always comes out looking great. (Very fluffy and cute)Something exceptional about Darcy is her willingness to educate new puppy owners. My partner and I were really struggling with nail trimming at home between grooming appointments. Darcy suggested and allowed us to go to the back and watch her trim his nails. It really helped!I highly recommend taking your pet here!

Not sure which groomer cleaned up my 75lb American bulldog but they did a great job. Better than Petco. No bandana but they did what I asked for. I will be back. Hopefully shabba wasn't too much trouble 😵‍💫. Thanks 🙏👍

I'm going to keep this short. After my second visit I will not return and I highly recommend others to do the same. My dog was scared to go in and she loves everyone and every place we go so that was a huge red flag for me. I went against my instinct and left her. They didn't call me when she was ready I went myself at closing time and she was good to go. No idea how long she had to wait. She's cut very unevenly if I can figure out how to post a photo I will. Again, I do not recommend.

Have taken my puppy here several times for nail trims. However, the last time she balked at going back with the groomer, and I have never seen her behave that way. Not taking her there again; don’t know what’s going on behind those doors.

I frequently go to the doggy daycare across the road and was pleased to find out that Mudpuppies did drop in nail trims! My pup had never gotten his nails trimmed professionally so I was delightfully surprised that we were in and out super fast and easy. His nails look so good and was able to go to doggy daycare right after! I do wish they had a website that had all the info but the drop in ended up being a breeze, I will definitely be back next time he needs a trim!

We get the best treatment from the staff we’ve ever gotten from any other groomers. Often we have been met with some type of discrimination that is felt by just my presence. Geisha looks so lovely and feels so good it shows in her overall behaviors. Thank you Heather for your exceptional expertise. I love Brittany our groomer! She does a fantastic job and is very friendly to me and my familia. My dog is toy poodle and it takes her awhile to be comfortable with others, but looks forward to visiting Brittany once a month fo sure!😊

This place is the absolute worst. They treat clients and pets terribly. If you truly care about your pet you should definitely not use this grooming facility…..We have been using them for awhile now and we had to change groomers because the groomer we had was always extremely rude and she would always just do whatever she wanted even after giving detailed instructions on how we wanted things. The new groomer had been doing a decent job but today was the last straw. We had an appointment at 9am so I was there at 8:45am. I went to the door and it was locked but I saw our old groomer inside walking around so I knocked and she looked over and then just ignored me so I stood there for another 5 minutes before I knocked again. The whole time she was staring over at me. Finally at 9am I knocked again and again she looked over but just ignored me so I decided to call and I heard the phone ringing from outside the door and she just watched me so I left a message saying we are no longer going to be using them and then we left.The fact the groomer didn’t call me back to say sorry for her coworkers behavior and sorry for being late just shows me what kind of place this is…I would never trust this establishment with my beloved dog ever again…After I left this review the owner came and added a comment saying that I left before my appointment which is a complete lie. The other groomer was there when I got there at 8:45am as I always show up early to appointments as I know how important people’s time is and I made my call at 9am sharp. As far as me cussing out you guys that too is a lie. When I called and left a VM I was upset because the other groomer was sitting there watching me make the call instead of just coming over and saying that my groomer was not there yet. I found it to be extremely rude that she just sat there and watched me knock and then watched me call…. Like I said before, if you love your animals you will never use this place.

Dropped off my 7lb dog at 12pm - checked in at 3pm & they told me she wouldn’t be ready until 4pm. They had only given her a bath by that time. So she was just waiting in a cage for majority of those 3 hours?I told them I would need her back & to cancel the haircut.They told me they usually say 3-4 hours but when I had taken in my other dog before they had said 2-3 hours. I don’t understand why it takes so long to cut a 7lb dogs hair. She’s well behaved and has been to the groomers many times before.It seems like they overbook themselves & just have multiple dogs waiting in the back. If they were overbooked, I would have appreciated them letting me know to return with her when they were ready to take care of her.They ended up giving her a quick trim & returned her back to me with other dogs hair on her (she’s brown and she had black hair all over her).They charged me $60 for a bath, face trim, & nail trim. She looks the same as when I dropped her off. Extremely upset & will not be returning.

Took my echo boy(Australian Shepard) in and they were able to see him on such short notice. He was pretty smelly and tangled but Chelsea killed it! He’s so happy with his new trim and the staff was so kind upon arrival. Will be a returning customer❤️🐶

I haven’t been back since Nikki my previous groomer had moved from there,but each of my Frenchies cost me $50 dollars which is a lot higher then most places in town,and they didn’t get any cute bandanas or anything which to me is such a cute touch,maybe new owners ? But I definitely inquire for pricing if you go.however the dogs smell great and they did an amazing job.

We've finally found a groomer that can cut our lagotto! Juan is an amazing artist and all the staff are friendly and helpful. The bath and groom took about two hours and was priced the same as the other three places we have been (apx $100 for a 40 lb dog). We will be back, very happy with the experience!
