My cashier was unwelcoming. But took the time to point out where things were, I was trying to use the manufactures coupon. When i got to the counter he told me it had to printed and I mentioned I live in a another state and these items are hard to find for my pet, he nodded me off and told me come back with printed coupons. After this, I just went to Exclusive Pet Supply where I should have went in the first place and they just inputed the code for my coupons and they were baffled why mudbay couldn’t. If I could give a no star I would. Never again!

I always come to the grant park village mud bay but the representative (blonde hair and glasses) who helped me was so uncaring and rude! I’ve never in all my time had such an experience it was jarring to say the least!! And left a bad taste in my mouth. I can’t remember who it was but I think it was Barnie or Bryce? Figured management ought to know coming from a loyal customer and fellow cat lover

Everyone at this store was so helpful and knowledgeable. I’m not usually the type to post one star reviews but Barry at this location made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome to be in the store. I hope mud bay can do better. This was the Broadway location not sure of I posted to the correct location

They carry quality products and if anything is wrong, they fix everything without me feeling like it was my issue to began with. Everyone I've encountered has been very helpful. While I haven't taken part, I love that they deliver. I originally thought the food was going to be more expensive, actually the opposite in my case. The litter has been cheaper and love that I no longer have to pick it up at a hardware store(I don't like Arm & Hammer, smells bad and was the only pellet litter for a long time at stores). 11/10

My dog loves shopping here. The staff is very friendly to pets and their owners. The selection of healthy treats is large and not overpriced. They also carry a good selection of cbd products for pets. Parking is difficult if you have a larger vehicle, but it is manageable.

If you are white, you’ll be alright! However if you are not, well then be prepared. The non POC manager there who has glasses, dark hair and a beard racially profils me every single time I go into the shop. I have been a customer for mudbay for over five years. I don’t appreciate when I come in as a person of color being profiled, followed around the store and harassed like I’m stealing something. I have noticed this behavior from this individual several times and he doesn’t do it to any non-person of color that comes in to the store. He was really weird about some birthday gift I had no idea about and made me feel extremely uncomfortable about it because of this continued racist behavior, I’ve had to drive out of my way to go to a different mudbay so I don’t have to feel fearful for my safety. From previous reviews it looks like I’m not the only person who has to suffer discrimination such as this.

I've got a deaf pitbull who needs a lot of engagement. When I first got her, she was on a lot of anxiety medications that took all her personality away. We've worked together a LOT and I keep her pretty active. Dialing in her diet took time and watching the variables. I always feel good about the products available at mudbay. we regularly store at the pet stores and pick up a bag of treats, or food, just to keep her sniffing through the day. but the grant park mud pay staff are her absolute favorite. She loves getting to stop in here and show off for her friends. and in three months, it's so fun to hear the staff notice things that she's getting better at! we'll walk in and hear "Oh, Dollys here!" it feels really special. These engagements are so important for her and we always feel so welcome and happy at our Grants Park Mudbay!

I just had an amazing experience at Mud Bay! It was my first time in. I had heard good things about them so I decided to check it out. I have had some trouble with my picky corgi puppy, and the staff we're incredibly knowledgeable and friendly! They directed me to a high quality food that wouldn't break the bank, and they loaded me up with samples of every flavour so I could test it out with him for free! I also decided to buy some wet food for him to try that out, and they gave me that for free too! Then they helped me pick the best bully stick for his age and chewing style. They ended the trip with a free sample of a treat they recommended.I will absolutely be back! The quality of the products and the level of service and knowledge were above and beyond! Thank you!

The staff was great.At the door they had options to use hand sanitizer or to use the washing station. Very professional.My dogs prefrences are tracked by staff when I let them know so I can be reminded which ones to avoid when I come in. Super handy.Most of all they tossed in a tiny bag of a treat (sampler) and now I know my dog loves freeze dried salmon.Such a wonderful staff.Highly recommend.

Staff are very helpful and nice, and there is a great selection of pet items on sale. The only downside is that I’m not always 100% satisfied with the quality and price of items I’ve bought here (they don’t seem to last too long). More often than not I’ll go to Pets on Broadway or Wild Pet Provisions on Fremont instead, however this is a great option for when I’m shopping at the supermarket and need to grab something quickly for my dog.

Excited to visit, heard SO many great things and I'm a brand new Pupper-Mama. Awesome store!!! Loved it! Sophie was extremely helpful and patient. I've had dogs in the past but it's been a while, I had lots of questions about food, quality, pet health, etc. She was excellent. I'm hooked! Happy to return and look at Mud Bay as MY store!!!

I've found the staff at Mud Bay to be kind and helpful. They are knowledgeable about the inventory, and have the tools to research any answers you need about their pet food products. They will provide you with samples of the food so that you can test drive one or more new brands before buying a whole bag. That said, they do have a generous return policy if a pet food does not work for you. They have refund or store credit options depending on the circumstances. I have shopped both dog and cat options at Mud Bay over the years and have been happy with both. I recommend checking them out.

Mud Bay is consistently the best place to go for treats, food, pet supplies, and more. Extremely dedicated, polite, and hard working staff. I always leave feeling educated, the staff never fail to put a smile on my face. It's also one of my dogs favorite places to go. Highly recommended

Every time I go here the staff is super friendly and helpful. They answer all my questions and clearly know a lot about their stock. I always walk away with free samples too. This is the only place I buy my pet supplies now. (And they order my cat's food for me when they don't carry it in the store.)

It’s the little things these days. I don’t have a car, the bus feels unsafe, I try to limit trips from my home, and supplies for my cat are hard to carry home on my bike.The in-Portland delivery from this store is a godsend. The associate even called to make sure my cat’s food could get to a secure place. Thanks to that associate. This is a big help.

My husband and I love this shop, Alik and Colin are helpful, friendly and mostly KNOWLEDGEABLE. Our rescue dog Sophie has food allergies and a super sensitive stomach, with Alik and Colin's help we were able to find options of food and treats that Sophie loves and is able to tolerate. She is now a happy dog with shinning hair. What surprises me the most is that for each problem I present there is always a technical and well informed solution, this employee's are an example of what a sales person should be, being extremely polite is a plus. I am a Food Engineer myself and I don't get impressed easily but I always do here in my favorite shop. It is every time an amazing experience. Thank you!

Super helpful and caring staff knew about Feline hyperthyroidism and were able to help me pick out a food for my Cat based on all his ailments. Cashier was knowledgeable and kind as well. Also Mudbay carries a great variety of specialized litter and raw foods. A+.

We love Mud Bay. The prices are higher than a grocery store, but you get what you pay for, and the expertise that these people offer is incredible. The one concern at this location is the parking. The lot is confusing, small, and shared with New Seasons. The meeting situation actually prevents me from going there sometimes.

Fantastic experience at MudBay with Samantha! Visiting Portland from the SF Bay Area, I got drawn into MudBay when I spotted the perfect Cat Tree in their window display. Samantha also helped me select other toys and specialty items for our Savannah Cats. Good quality and prices and great customer service! I'll be back next time in Portland!

I enjoy all the Mud Bay locations I've visited, but this location is the BEST! AMAZING STAFF! Even though this location is not in my normal area, I will make it a point to go there for my animal's needs! I left the store in a much better mood than when I went in!

It's an apple of pet shops, but with much better customer service and ethics. They will take back anything your dog doesn't like and donate it to the local shelter. Seriously it's an amazing company with great product.

Good prices on bulk dog biscuits. Numerous types of dog foods and assorted toys, leashes and other doggie goods although as expensive or more than other boutique pet shops.Cat stuff too-food, toys, towers, etc.Only thing I would consistently purchase here would be the treats as they have the best selection and prices.They also stand by their products so keep your receipt.
