This is the best pet store I’ve ever been to! I came right before closing desperately looking for a “cone of shame” for my awkwardly shaped dog, Leo. Leo is very shy and wary of strangers — the person working (Jan 20) is THE ONLY PERSON who has ever given him, a fearful/anxious pup, a treat the proper way: back turned, no eye contact, and arm stretched behind their back with their palm up.Then, with Leo’s difficult measurements (long, narrow neck and long body), the person helped me try on every type of cone there before we settled on a donut/cone combo. When I was paying I noticed that I had stayed 10 minutes past closing yet they were so nice and accommodating. The people at the shop are so nice and a wonderful representation of the value small businesses bring to the community!10/10 would recommend.

My favorite pet supply store I have ever been to! They have the best dog stuffed toys! Fun pop culture references, current events, etc. Honestly the most attractive leashes/collars too. Fun prints...very Portland/PNW inspired.You can always trust their food/treat brands to be sustainable and no filler ingredients. Bulk dog treats by the pound....SO INEXPENSIVE. Lots of other treats sold individually also, meaning less packaging waste which means less expensive also.When you see a "boutique" pet shop on a popular shopping street, you would expect high "boutique" prices. Nope. I am always pleasantly shocked at how affordable my total is.Plus, all the employees will remember your pet's name and greet them with treats!!!!!

great selection, and they have pet food supplies!I came in for a shirt for my cat who has anxiety, it took me a few tries to get the right size, but the staff member there helped me and now he's happy!

I'm thrilled after my first visit at For Paws. My 12 lb elderly schnoodle gets easily chilled & needed some comfy pj's for nighttime. The staff was awesome, helping me select the correct size for her. Thankyou for making the whole experience special. Her new cozy pj's fit perfectly & look adorable!

One of my favorite shops in Portland for dog & cat supplies. Very kind and helpful service and items are priced the same as other pet stores and in some cases, less expensive !Good selection of treats/high quality food and amazing selection of toys.I've been helped to identify my dogs allergies grain and chicken and drastically improve his health when many vets in town could not figure it out. I owe it all to the kind and wonderful people at for paws!When I bring my puppy in they make me feel like he's the cutest dog in the world and really who doesn't love that ;)

Perfect spot to stop and get what ya need for your furry friends. Great treat selection, beds rain jackets food and toys. Friendly and knowledgeable staff always greats us with a warm welcome and dog treat. Our dog literally starts pulling like a sled racing dog within 2 blocks of their store.If ya have not checked them out, you should!

For Paws was the location for Good Neighbor vet which we took our cat to. Very accommodating people in the store while the vet clinic was going on. Tons of things for your pets, friendly staff and a fun location if you want to shop around 33rd and division lots of stores!

I love this pet store so much that even though we've moved to the west side, we will still drive over here to shop for our dog. Everyone that works here has been amazing and super helpful. They have the best options for dog food and really unique and fun pet toys. This DIVERSE group of AWESOME people truly care about animals and everyone in their community. For everything that makes Portland great/weird (same thing, am I right?), this is definitely a store worth supporting!

Great store, central location, great staff! The store dogs give you free baths! They hold monthly events for shots which is fantastic cause I live down the road and use to procrastinate with my Mingus’ shots but not anymore! They have a wide variety of food, at varying prices!

Loveeeeee this place! I manage a building in the area and come here to stock up on toys and treats for our resident pets every few weeks. The staff is always super sweet and they have a fantastic assortment of everything you need. Highly recommend!

This is my favorite pet store! They have such a great selection of supplies, food, and treats. My dog has terrible allergies, and this is the only local store I can find food for her. The staff is always great and clearly enjoy their jobs

This is my favourite pet store in Portland. The owner and employees are super friendly and helpful. Their obvious love of animals shows in their work. I have been coming here for years and it is always a pleasure to shop here and chat with the ladies behind the counter.

This shop is FABULOUS. Every single employee who works there embodies the caring, personal vibe that is why small local businesses are the best. You won't find a pet boutique out there with more knowledgable, principled, and empathetic staff.As such, I need to say that the 1-star review left here a few days ago is garbage. I didn't witness the interaction, but I believe the content of the comment gives some indication as to the tone of events. To the slim extent that I pay any attention whatsoever to such obvious sludge, it only serves to make me even more compelled to shop at this (and any) business where a staff member would speak up in support of diversity, inclusiveness, positivity, and community despite the risk of being flamed online.

This a great, little pet shop on SE Division that I've visited a few times. I live in another part of PDX, so I really only stop by here when I'm in the Division area. The clerks are always so kind and helpful, and they have some really cool (albeit overpriced), unique pet items and accessories that I haven't seen anywhere else, like really cool bandannas and collars, etc. There are usually 1 or 2 employee pet dogs hanging out in there too, fyi, and they are so adorable. I would recommend this spot if you're looking for a small pet store business to support in the Division area with friendly clerks and unique items.

We had forgotten to pack a leash for our puppy so I had to get on Google and this was the first place that came up as a place we could get a leash. They had a wonderful selection of items, tons of different colors and styles.

I love this place, very helpful friendly folks there Alessandra in particular is always happy to help and really cares about the customers and their babies. Not sure what homeboy calling the shop racist is talking about. The two women who own this shop are anything but. Sounds like a case of a person who felt they didn't get the star treatment. Probably doesn't tip his barista either.

Awesome little neighborhood pet shop. There's often three or four people there working plus two or three shop dogs, so there's plenty of help available. For a small store they have lots of treats and clothes.

I took my Cané Corso Italiano (Italian Mastiff) here for his vaccinations from the mobile vet, not to purchase anything else. However, while there, I really appreciated the people and friendly atmosphere. I will be returning for other pet needs. A+ y'all.

Grest shop lots of cool stuff and great staff.Some of the stuff sold here is a bit more then at other shops. but they have a lot of dog accessorys that other stores dont have. Also was very clean and well maintained.

This place is my hands-down (paws-down?) favorite pet store ever. They have all the best cat toys and treats and it's the best spot to dog watch.
