I love this place! The owner is always so friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. I am a newbie with plants, and she was so relaxed and helpful with my always growing list of plant questions. While the place isn’t ADA accessible, she carried my walker up the few steps and offered to move anything that might be in my way of enjoying this little wonderland.

They always have a wonderful selection of beautiful and healthy plants. Most of the small plants (under 2ft tall with less than 6 leaves) I’ve gotten there have grown lush and over 5 ft tall! So so much healthier than plants from other stores.

The best plant store in Portland! It looks small but there’s a lot here, and it’s super cute. They have a lot of variety of plants, pretty much anything you could be looking for, and the prices are great. I appreciate the medicinal herbs because those can be hard to find. The plants here are healthy and vibrant and grow beautifully, they are obviously well tended to. And it makes me so happy to support an awesome woman owned/Black woman owned business. They are super knowledgeable for all your plant questions!

Stopped in today to get a gift for a friend - not only did we find the perfect pot + plant combo, but the beautiful soul helping us even repotted the plant for us right in store, with artful consideration of its position to best compliment the pot. Wonderful customer service. I called ahead to ask about the plants I desired. They had them at a lower then expected price. The only drawback is the on street parking. We will be returning here for some of our other planting desires.

I just stopped into this shop to get something for my wife on Valentine's Day. The employee I encountered was super helpful and custom made me a terrarium with succulents. And the prices were fantastic! We will definitely be back for any of our succulent needs.

This nursery is awesome! One of my favorite in town, they have carnivorous plants, house plants, native plants, vines, flowers, cover crops, succulents and cacti, fertilizers, sad plant sales, herbs, hops, berries I've never heard of, the place is just completely full of happy, healthy plants and the employees are so chill. If you like plants you HAVE to check this place out

Love this little nursery! I feel like a kid in a candy store when I visit - they have a great variety of indoor and outdoor plants and a surprising selection of pots. I've found some unique, beautiful pots here from local makers. I love that they focus on sourcing locally and are women/black-owned. This is a business to support and keep in the community!

Great selection of houseplants and outdoor plants. The owners are very knowledgeable, and always willing to help. They've adjusted their layout to keep evening everyone safe during the pandemic. They also donate frequently to local organizations to better the community.

Love the new location - they've got a bit of room to grow now, and a really lovely outdoor plant area all around the store. I always get incredibly friendly, helpful service here. My black thumb has graduated to a greenish, brownish one (for example, almost all of my airplants are making babies!). Looking forward to prepping my yard for winter/spring with help from B&B!

Customer service was above and beyond helpful! I live in Florida, but wanted to send a personalized gift to friends in Portland. Amanda literally dug a plant out of her own yard so I could send the perfect gift. The price was very reasonable for getting a custom gift and she delivered for free! AMAZING!

The prices are really very reasonable, the plant and planter selection is diverse and beautiful, and even through COVID they have managed to create an accessible and affordable shopping experience. Wonderful nursery! All the plants and small trees seemed super happy and were wonderfully displayed. This is not a large nursery like some of the others in Portland, but I found exactly what I was looking for - a monstera plant and a beautiful ceylon ceramic pot to boot! Also had several beautiful fig trees and terrarium supplies. Will be back!

Absolute best customer service in Portland! Despite the chaos created by the global pandemic, Amanda and Birds & Bees Nursery have wowed me again and again. Despite being overwhelmed by demand for plant starts, they called me back within 24 hours every time. They were able to get me all the starts I needed, and delivered to my porch for free! Thanks to them, I will have a thriving garden this year.

Stopped by to pick up a houseplant and loved exploring the store! They have everything you’ll need for gardening tools and supplies, indoor plants, birds and mason bees. Too much to take in on 1 visit. I will go back often; great choices for gifts and local cards.
