Staff is in general polite and welcoming. The deli is loaded with food. Lots of choices. They don't even charge extra for the mold on deep fried burrito. Yea, I didn't bother going back for a $1.25.... just tossed it out on the roadside for crows (they have a stronger gut). But it tells me about their food storage and quality. Won't be visiting that deli again, as i can't imagine what gets stirred back into day old (or longer) salads. Yuk!

Prices are good for a small town grocery store. I love the regular meat sales and the bakery/deli. I love that they offer lots of unique food items for such a small store. Now, for the reason for my low star review:90% of the employees are either outright rude or at the least unpersonable.I've lived in MP less than a year and frequently shop, at least once a week, and I never get service that wows me. Every employee other than one checker, Sheryl, either acts like I'm annoying them to do the basic of thier job or they are EXTREMELY consistently rude. It's not even that I'm looking for pats on the back or over the top friendliness, but a small conversion while checking me out would be nice, not sighing while checking me out when I ask questions would ve nice and there's one particular employee there that is just incredibly rude. She is just insufferable. Never smiles, never engages when i try to in conversion and is short and curt in her responses.I even had the unlucky fortune of being laughed at when I brought my recycling in and there was a few cans and bottles in the wrong bags. It's to the point that I probably will be driving to coquille to do my grocery shopping. I hate that I can't support my local store. I gave it months to improve and it's just not acceptable.Such a shame. And I chatted with a few other residents and it's not just me. They also felt the same and had decided enough was enough and started taking thier business elsewhere.

Very friendly and interesting game of Putt Putt Golf! I will be back soon! This is great for kids about 7-70 years of age! On the left, look for mini flags on hill side white Pickett fencing! Open 11-7 Friday thru Sunday!

It's an everyday thing for me, always clean, and well stocked in so much as they have control of what they are sent from the warehouse. Always have a produce guy, stocking, stacking and making all the produce look nice. Always someone in the refrigerated/dairy etc. area restocking and rotatingproducts to guarantee freshness! Never have to wait in line any longer than absolutely necessary! Friendly and helpful...with one exception, no name mentioned.. because I don't know it ! Everyone else is helpful and friendly! Convenient location with adequate parking! Easy when you are just running in for an item or two, as they are very considerate and call for additional checkers when a line has more than 3 or so customers in it!! Oh yeah and they have a great meat department, helpful when you need a special cut, slicing or just a question about how best to prepare your selection ! Good Quality and value too !

Something is horribly wrong at this grocery store. Prices, which are rising everywhere, are notably higher here than other stores in the area. Any time the deli is cooking chicken, the entire section of the store that the deli is in absolutely reeks of burnt, unfiltered oil. It's to the point that I'll wear a mask just so I can buy beer and chips without gagging on the deli stench. The meat is absolutely abhorrent. I bought 4 pounds of ground beef a week ago, and when I got it home, that same day, within an hour broke it open to make tacos, and the entire inside of the meat was brown, way too wet, and rotting. There was a line of about 1/4 inch of pink meat around the brown, and the rest was literally rotting in the package. According to the sticker, it had been packed that morning. So either a) they're lying about how frequently they package their meat, or b) they're willfully packing bad meat and attempting to hide it from the customer. The produce is somehow even worse than the meat, when they can afford to buy produce to sell to customers. Not even dry goods are safe from here. There are maggots in the EED branded rice bags, bugs in the instant mashed potato boxes, weevils in the flour, and more. I don't know where they're storing their dry goods, but it can't be clean or free from pests.I really love the people who work here, but I just can't keep wasting so much of my food budget on food that I ultimately have to throw in the trash (and then pay the garbage bill for throwing out so much food).

Love this not so little market in a little town near us. For a rural store especially, the prices are great. People always there to help if you need it, and a very good selection of goods. The Meat Bonanza sale is a must do!

I am visiting Myrtle point from Portland. This store is STOCKED! all the shelves are full. The produce is great. (Shortages on big chain stores in Portland area) The staff is helpful and friendly. Also the store itself is clean. Overall a pleasant suprise!

The food in the deli is always looking like it's on its last leg now, it has a funky color and the windows in the deli are so dirty I can barely see said gross food stuffs. Management has let the deli go as if they don't care if people get sick. I would not recommend eating anything but breakfast on the weekends before 7 am. I wouldn't go back to work there again if they doubled my salary and fired half the crew. It's disgusting and overrun with mice they won't stop

Went to the deli and ordered a turkey breast sandwich and ask the guy how much meat they put on the sandwich and he said a lot he says he puts a lot of meat on the sandwich like he would make it for himself and he likes a lot of meat he says. So I got my sandwich and paid the $7 for it and there was one slice of turkey breast.... What a joke.

I love McKay's. The staff is really friendly and they have a little bit of everything so you can always find what you're looking for. They're a small place so they only carry one or two brands per item and sometimes you can't find exactly what you want, but they always have something similar in their wide selection. They do even carry a few vegan options which I really appreciate. If you can't find something just ask the staff.

Nice little local store for all of your needed goods. The store is well stocked and easy to navigate. Very busy for a Saturday morning in the mountains. Restrooms were also clean and stocked. Parking lot is a bit cramped and tough to drive through. The location is also visible from the main street.

Loved this visit. Let me assure you they have the best fried Chicken within a 100 mile radius! Seems like everywhere else is too salty, dry or overcooked. McKAY'S IN MP IS THE BEST bird fryer!!!Also the employees are helpful and kind unlike other markets and stores in Coquille. We just moved to Coquille and quickly learned it is worth the trip to go the extra mile for numerous reasons. The biggest is the people behind the counter.

My wife and I drive all the way over from the Umpqua Valley to McKay's Market to purchase our Meats sure. I have to be selling locally grown because their Porky Pig is to die for. Gives us a little road trip on my wife's weekend and well worth the drive

Great staff and customer service.Great selection of quality meats.Fabulous fresh produce selection.Considering our town has a population of 3000, w/ one grocery store, McKay's has an impressive selection.

Finding over & over again {it seems},there are either REALLY GOOD DEALS,or just quite close to terrible....Mixed all around about the place in general, but i appreciate it too much to give it any Less than 3 stars....Room for improvement for sure....Here's hopin' it does.... Sooner than Later.Oh, and by the way, the deli has taken a serious DIVE since the new generation, ownership, management, etc.The hours of the deli, the high costs, etc.Just needs a revamp, & just get a whole new positive attitude in there.... PERIOD.(Starting from the TOP then down etc.) 👎

Workers are nice enough, there's a decent variety of items. Nothing to complain about other than the prices, but even then they're not outrageous.

Very nice small town grocery. Some local items like local wines. Meat department still dies local meat cutting. Nice deli. Hot soup made daily but sells out fast. Local Frazier ' bakery outlet from Coquille.

This is where I grew up. Little store in a little town with hearts that would make a giant jealous. Seeing how the lack of lumber mills has devastated this community the store has always been there for its customers.

McKay's is a small town grocery store that does it's best to provide good customer service in a friendly manner. That said, this company has much higher prices on their shelves than other comparable grocery places.

50% of chicken after 6:00 p.m. in the deli, the most tender chicken ever in the United States of America and I have been to many places all over America in the last 400,000 miles 5 years.

Great little market with all the basics, and some tantalizing scents coming from the deli. We will have to plan on trying some of their deli items next time.
