I was traveling from Canada and it was a spontaneous trip so I hadn't booked a room anywhere. When I finally decided it was time to stop the first person I got on the phone was Mike and he was still an hour away! He was so pleasant and accommodating on the phone that it felt like I was heading home so that hour passed quickly. My arrival did not disappoint. His wife (I think) checked me in, and he took a minute to pop his head in to say hello. I wasn't there long and left before anyone else was up but I'll always remember the welcoming warmth from this couple for a weary traveller.

called on a Saturday afternoon i was able to get a room for that night. I paid over the phone and the front desk left the key in a special spot for me because I was getting in late. they gave me into on getting food before too late. for a small little independent motel everything was great. even had real coffee ready in the front office in the morning. I wish every place I've stayed at was like this.

We stopped here while passing through for the night. This was a super clean little motel. Perfect for those who are just looking for a quick place to stay. Direct TV, good coffee, and a nice AC unit in the room. We spoke to Mike and he was extremely nice to make the reservation while driving there..The woman who helped us the next morning was also very hospitable. Definitely recommend this place.

Was just looking for a place to crash after a long day. Saw they had a vacancy and stopped. The room is nice. The customer service is awesome.I'm new to towing a trailer and the manager came out in the 28° weather and helped me back the trailer up in the snow.If I'm ever needing to stop in this area again, will definitely be planning to stay here.

I was fortunate to stay here two nights. Tall Winds is a jewel along what is otherwise a long road. Staying at an independent motel can be a gamble, but Tall Winds is the cleanest motel I've ever stayed at. Their Wi-Fi is great. Parking is convenient (the owner spent 20 minutes helping me park my truck with 30 foot boat and trailer). The owners are friendly. They are genuinely concerned about the quality of your stay. Lastly the price was very reasonable especially considering they could charge twice the price because where else are you going go? Bend is 140 miles further down the road. This is now a permanent stop for me.Thanks Mike! I'm sure I'll see you in the next couple of months.

Very clean and comfortable. The owner dude was holding up shop when we rolled in, tired and hot as all heck, way past dark. He was super nice according to my boy. The A.C. was pumping, they had nice little mini fridges and the bathroom was as clean as my grandma's house in sleepy southern Idaho. Fair price. Will probably stop through again, convenient location to break up a long OR to WA haul

The owners are very kind, and the rooms are decently inexpensive. It is very clean, and for the location it is decently quiet. The town does go dark fairly early, but only 325 people live there so what can you expect. The breakfast was decent; coffee, juice, bagels, donuts, etc. Overall good place, good people, good price.

The room was small, perfect for a 1-2 person stay. Everything was clean, no weird smells or stains anywhere. The owner was incredibly nice and genuinely cared about my experience. Definitely recommend stopping here if you need a quality night's rest.

During a road trip through Oregon our RV broke down right out side The Tall Winds Motel in Moro. The owner, Mike, was very understanding and helpful and let us park on his property while we were waiting for our road service (which never came).Eventually we neded a room for the night for 2 adults and two kids so we got the suite for $89.99. The rooms were bright with comfortable beds as well as cable TV, Wi-Fi, fridge and microwave. Also there was a nice deck where we could have our dinner (bring your own food as Moro is a tiny town).The next day the Mike and his wife let us have late check out until our vehicle was clear to go.We definitely will try to come back.

They were super accommodating with my arrival time (get there around 10) and I didn't actually need to check in at the front desk. Reserved and paid over the phone. Beds were comfortable enough, but the shower water pressure was so intense you couldn't actually take a shower. For a quick stop on the way somewhere I would recommend it.

This place is very clean and comfortable. The manager is nice and friendly. It's quiet and there is a park next door. The only reason I didn't give it all the stars is because you have to drive a ways for food or a store . The local convenience store doesn't even sell lottery tickets.The town is quiet and clean and everyone is friendly.

This place is amazing. Will definitely stop here again. Call first they are small but the manager is great. This is exactly the type of small place small town motel you want when traveling clean, friendly, great price, and customer service and conversation you just don't get anymore

The staff was exceptionally wonderful. You have expectations being a motel, and whilst you shouldn't expect a 3 star city hotel it punches way above its per night cost for a motel. Think more along the lines of a B&B. Oh and the WiFi is reasonably quick. Consistently 15-20Mbps down and 3-4up so you can get work done as well. Do make sure to get food and petrol prior to coming into town. If you're here for a track day at ORP like we were know this is the closest place that's worth a damn.

This is nice place to stay. Rooms are kept clean. Though close to highway it is quiet. The room rate was reasonable. Be aware there is no gas station in town or a place to eat out. Closest place for food is ten miles.

For the price and location, which is the closest hotel to Oregon Raceway Park, it's pretty good! Be warned, the "town" shuts down EARLY, like before 5 PM on a Sunday early, the closest gas station is 25 minutes away, and the hotel faces a road that is frequently used by semi trucks. If you can look past those issues, it's cheap, the rooms are fine, and the front desk is helpful.

Nice little motel. Unfortunately it is located in a town that is the most notorious speed trap in Oregon. When you are stopped, the officer will check your paperwork and if anything is even slightly out of order, your car will be impounded. My suggestion is to move through this town (at below the speed limit), and not stop at any of the restaurants.

Very unassuming, clean rooms and friendly, accommodating hosts:) This place has no competition in the area but their prices were very reasonable and they were flexible with my open- ended stay. I would definitely stay here again!

So RAD! Very clean & affordable. Mike is super friendly. Fridge, microwave & coffee. WiFi good & necessary since no AT&T service. HBO saved me on new Game of Thrones night!

Thus place is a godsend!!!! Proprietors are lovely, rooms are clean, quiet and lots of hot water. After 14 hrs on the road, the welcoming smile, AAA discount,and clean bed were so needed. Let me have my dog, too!!!. Only place you'll find from Maupin to Biggs!!!!!
