Normally I avoid this Safeway in favor of a nice market in Canby. The thing that really frustrates me is their gas station. I always go elsewhere unless I must have gas now. Everyone is driving every which way. There is no defined traffic pattern. Their hoses are too short to reach the opposite side of the vehicle so any lane works with the pump on either side. The full service kids are slumping around drinking their Red Bulls and paying more attention to their phones than the customers. Lastly, they must have purchased the slowest pumps on the planet. Management needs to go gas up at Costco to see an efficient pleasant operation. Oh wait, they probably do gas up up at Costco because the Safeway operation sucks!! Inside the store today they actually had several checkout stand open. Normally it's one and self-serve if you're lucky. Sorry, not a good review, but then not a good experience either.

Pretty good store nice people seem to work very hard lot of them have been there for a long time pretty dependable store to have the product your looking for. Cons: parking spots are a little tight so it makes for bad door dings. the parking lot seems to need some serious cleaning it's been there for a while so try not to look down at the ground too closely. LolI just want to make sure that everybody gets a good review from me. thank you very much for my supporters out there .

On 02/28/2020 my husband and I order 3-8 piece chicken and 2 1/2 pounds of jojo’s (we live in Colton and didn’t bother to check the food) we get home about 15 mins later go to make the kids their plates, jojo’s are hard and dry, chickens raw (see pics below) so my husband calls them at 6:54pm deli still open, the dude has an attitude telling us he doesn’t care he’s closed and we have to wait till tomorrow to take it up with management.If it was just for me I wouldn’t give a sh** but it was for my kids, wast of time and money!!!🤬😡

I came into Safeway Friday afternoon to the bakery department and was greeted with a warm smile from Shelby. We had a bit of banter about her lovely tattoos. I had a time sensitive situation for getting these cakes that was totally out of my control. I explained the situation to her as best I could and without hesitation she said "I will make it happen don't worry" she went above and beyond to help me when I was at my lowest point. Not only is she an exemplary employee, she is a top notch person and deserves all of the praise. From the bottom of my heart thank you Shelby. You made my daughters 1st birthday one to remember.

Once again today I was reminded why I do not shop at this store. Busy store, 2 check stands open with lots of people waiting to checkout. I decided on self checkout. I had an item ring up at a higher price than what the shelf said. The assistant in self checkout quickly verified and told me the wrong sticker was on the shelf. I asked if they would honor the price and she referred to the manager on duty. She also verified and refused to honor the price and even rudely commented on it before walking away. I cancelled my fresh pass and will not be returning.

The first thing I noticed upon arrival is that the parking lot is dark. There aren't a lot of lights and feels unsafe. This store seems more expensive than other stores but they do have some good deals. It is clean and despite the fact that it is smaller than other Safeway stores they offer a lot of variety.

Filthy bathroom rude punk kids for employees. Told an employee the men’s bathroom was dirty and he just shook his head and walked off. Stopped in still filthy restrooms.

Very bright, isles were well organized and well labeled. Staff was extremely helpful. They did not have a certain brand of chips that Ralph's (Kroger) has but have some of their own branded things. I tried their Safeway brand of salsa that was next to the Pace picante salsa. It was incredibly good! And I am pretty picky.

These folks are good. But be weary of the Signature Farms pre packaged produce. Some of it could be older then you'd expect.

They are always out of the items they have on sale. The nighttime stock crew are very rude. They act as if the customers are in there way. Prices are extremely high, compared to a half hour drive away to any store in Oregon city. The just for you coupons do not come off when I'm checking out. I'm told to call Safeway customer service. When I do they say they don't see anything wrong. So it's rare I actually get my discounts. There are some exceptionally awesome checkers though. The nighttime manager is great to.

Drive Up & Go is such a great service but the app hasn't worked for pickup for months! I have tried updating it and still does not work. So I have to call the store and then wait on hold. If you can't figure out how to fix the app at least put a direct phone number on your signs. Super frustrating!! I will say the staff that is delivering to my car are very friendly and apologetic.

Moderate grocery store. Clean and, generally, well stocked aisles with the exception of things made instore. Their deli aisles, not just particular items but entire aisles where you would see their rotisserie chickens or pre-made sandwiches etc., are frequently sold out. Deli department also takes a VERY VERY long time as they had only 2 people working when I was there (1 person making food and 1 person taking orders) so I ended up waiting over 10 mins along with a good handful of other people before someone even showed up, and then even longer while they worked through the line.But at the end of the day they had what I was looking for and I found a couple decent discount/sale price items too so can't complain too much.

Their prices are a little higher but now a day everything is priced high. The people are very nice and pleasant to talk to. The store is clean and it is easy to see their products. And everyone knows one another here. That makes it more pleasant of a place to shop.

Whatever manager runs the Deli needs to get better training because they're always out of corn dogs, and meat gets absolutely shredded sometimes. If it was one employee, I'd blame the employee, but if when they're always out of common hot case food, and consistently meat gets shredded to insulting bits means that's poor management.Deals are nice though

Not worth shopping at any Safeway way to expensive… WINCO an all the way baby!!! Can over fill my cart any only spend about $200 do that at Safeway you spend about $500. Just saying not worth shopping there. I will make the drive to save money on food and I do the days I’m already going to OC or Clackamas! Make better choices on prices Safeway! I painted your headquarters office so I know how it works. Hahahaha

I have only been to this Safeway once, but I was impressed by how clean, light, and bright it was. Definitely one of the nicest Safeway stores I have been to and they were well stocked on the items I wanted to purchase. I was in a hurry and my check out experience was prompt.

Chicken isn't as good as it used to be. The people who work there are awesome. I lost 60$ then went back the next day and they had kept it for me! I almost gave them 4 stars for the chicken but you can't beat such honest awesome people.

Very rude employees working on the floor. Almost ran into me and did not say "sorry ". In the fresh food section, the employee forced me to have to move her wagon so I could get something and then get by her. In the fresh fish department, I could not have asked for a nicer person to help me.

This is a regular Safeway that I go to near my house. Everybody that works there are wonderful people very helpful and friendly and the place is always talked up and clean with bathrooms at the front of the store.

How is breakfast not available when the store is open? Shouldn't the entire store be ready when it opens? Tried to get a breakfast burrito and was told another 30 minutes for potatoes. They had no eggs and no tortillas either.

Lines are outrageous. There today and there was only two lanes open and each line was 6+ long. I typically do delivery or pick up but was told almost my entire order was unavailable so I went in to check for myself and was able to get every item on my list except for one! Not to mention they are out of bags but are more than happy for you to pay $5 for a reusable one! Absolutely ridiculous. Shop elsewhere!

I went to the pharmacy for my COVID booster. I got there before my scheduled time and was waited on immediately and after filling out the necessary paper was given the vaccine right away. The pharmacist was excellent- very courteous and caring.

I'd probably give it a little better rate, but it seems that you have to wait in line forever to pay for your groceries. I've seen the lines from the cash register all the way to the meat department and I mean all of their 3 lines at the same time. I've walked out more than one time because of this.

Worst fuel service ever!!!! Stoped at 6:30 pm. Lead attendant refused to sell us Fuel because diesel pumps were in the sun. (Actually was shaded at the time). Asked us to move to the other side of the same pump. Cars were lined up everywhere. When asked why we could just stay where we were she refused us service. Attendant was down right nasty!
