This location is very nice. They were well stocked and the staff was pleasant and friendly. They have the best gift bag display I've seen at any location so far. I could actually see all the designs they had and didn't have to dig through them to see them all. I'd recommend this location to others and I'll be back.

Just find it frustrating, it is less than 1/3 of the way through October and they have more Christmas stuff on display than fall or Halloween decor. I am fine that with the Christmas stuff being out, I just don’t think it needs to overpower the selections of the CURRENT season.

I have been a loyal customer at various dollar tree locations for over a decade, spending many hundreds of dollars over the years. This was my first time at the Molalla location. I was very impressed and happy with the selection and tidiness of the store, however, the customer service I received from the manager was appalling. I was purchasing 3 items including a box of ice cream cones from the freezer section. The cashier who rang me up was very nice, but did not tell me my total. I had already inserted my credit card (but had not hit any buttons) when I saw on the screen that my total was $7.50, because the ice cream cones were $5. I told the cashier I didn't know the icecream was $5, and asked her to take it off. She did something with the register and then told me she would have to cancel the transaction and ring me up again. But apparently my card had been charged already. she asked her manager how to remove the ice cream cones. The manager said she couldn't, because the system doesn't allow returns on food. I told her I didn't know the icecream was $5 until it was rung up, and I had asked for it to be removed while I was still at the register. She rudely told me that there were huge signs with the price, and that I can't return food. I said it's the dollar tree, I wasn't looking for signs and had no idea anything cost more than $1.25. I reiterated that I wasn't returning anything, I had never left the register, and had said that I hadn't wanted the item before the transaction went through. She rudely told me with a smirk on her face that the computer won't allow a return on food and shrugged it off.I did go back to the freezer and look for the "huge signs" the manager claimed were there. There is a $5 sign printed on the top and bottom of the freezer door- far above and below my eye level, and small $5 printed on the shelf. It was my error that I missed the signs, however, I was in a store where to my knowledge everything cost the same: I wasn't looking for prices. The customer should have the right to change their mind about an item at the cash register if they were mistaken about the price.The credit card machine always makes you hit "yes" before your card is charged- I never hit "yes"- I asked the cashier to remove the item before the transaction was completed- it was the store's error, not mine, that the transaction went through. I had never left the cash register area, but was told I couldn't "return" an item that I did not consent to purchasing in the first place. I'm on a tight budget but thought that for $1.25, I could have an icecream treat after having a rotten week. Spending an extra $3.75 was not acceptable to me- it kept me from buying a couple grocery items i actually needed, and I should not have been forced to pay for them. The manager didn't even apologize, or show the least bit of understanding or sympathy- she seemed to be enjoying her little power trip.I have worked many retail jobs with uncompromising computer systems. Yet we always tried to do right by our customers. I have had dozens of customers bring items to the register, or order from a menu and then change their mind, and even if I thought their reasons were ridiculous, I and every company I've worked for/ would have never dreamed of making them pay for an item that they said at the register they didn't want. Even if it had taken a little extra documentation or work: An exchange, cash refund, gift card/store credit, or at the very least being told "I'm sorry, i understand that customers may not know about this new price system we have. We made a mistake with charging your credit card, but unfortunately our system can't reverse it. Here is a customer service number you can call," would have all been acceptable to me. Instead, she basically said I was SOL and deserved it.I didn't want to make a public griping review, but since it was the manager who did this, I saw no point in calling the local store, and I can't find a customer service email or phone number.

It's been 3 weeks since I last visited the dollar tree in molalla. Tonight's visit was actually very pleasant. I only dealt with one employee tonight. She was pleasant, and helpful. Very courteous. The employees who I sadly had to deal with 3 weeks ago was not there tonight. I do believe that is what made my shopping experience so much better this time. The store is clean and tidy. Alot bigger selection of items this visit than my last one.
