This is probably my favorite store in the valley. The staff and owner are very friendly and accommodating, the atmosphere is spot-on, the little reptiles and other creatures are very happy, Conrad is always fun to talk to, and they helped me discover my love of reptiles. 200% positive experience. The store mascot is a Chinese water dragon named Mister Miyagi. He is beautiful. I HIGHLY recommend you visit.

As a newcomer and single parent, I was apprehensive about researching and shopping for a snake for my 8 year old son. He has been asking for a snake for four years! We couldn't have stumbled in to a more welcoming, patient, and informative haven than Primeval Pets.From the moment we stepped through the door we were greeted with warmth and enthusiasm, making us feel right at home despite our inexperience. We were impressed with the variety of reptiles on display. From the geckos to the snakes, there was a creature to capture the imagination of every aspiring reptile keeper. Each enclosure was thoughtfully arranged and impeccably maintained, showcasing the store's dedication to the well-being of their animals.What truly set this store apart was the knowledgeable and patient staff. Despite our novice status, Conrad took the time to answer all of our questions with enthusiasm and clarity, guiding us though the process of selecting the perfect companion for my 8 year old son. Conrad's enthusiasm & passion for snakes was infectious, and we left the store feeling empowered and eager to begin our journey as snake keepers.Whether you're a seasoned keeper or curious newcomer, I can't recommend Primeval pets enough for all your reptile needs.

I been going to Primeval for years now. I absolutely love the people that work there they have their whole hearts invested into the work they do.KONRAD IS THE BEST! he has helped us so much with our snake. He is totally in it for the reptiles will make time to help with absolutely anything even when he is super busy with nothing to gain but satisfaction of helping the Reptile! We absolutely love him!!You need help getting your snake to eat you need help getting a stuck shed off .He is 💯 your man!

I recently purchased a very handsome baby ball python from here, Conrad is so knowledgeable and has been with me every step of the way. I have called him multiple times with questions and he is right to the point and always available. Thank you to Conrad and the Primeval team, for making my experience so good. Not only did I get a new pet I also feel like I got a new friend. There really is no need to go anywhere else in the valley, Primeval Pets is far above the competition!

Rob helped us and took the time to answer all of our questions, the staff was very knowledgeable and all the reptiles appeared to be well taken care of. Our kids loved being able to walk through the store to look at the wide variety and even get a little hands on time with a few reptiles! This is a great locally owned business and deserves more customers!

If you're into reptiles, then you must go to Primeval. Leopard geckos, Ball Pythons, Hog nose, king snakes, spiders of all kinds, Bearded dragons, torti, and so much more. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and willing to share. Cages are appropriate size, clean and easy to see into. This is the best of the best in the valley.

After visiting a big name store and treated horribly, we decided to come here. The employee that helped us was very professional and knowledgeable. It has been many years since we had a bearded dragon (10+) and wanted to get another. These guys helped us choose a perfect setup and educated us on care and upkeep. I would recommend primeval every time, hands down. I personally drive an hour one way, just to go there. So much knowledge and Conrad is the snake whisperer. You better believe I will continue making the drive just to go there.

Great little reptile shop, we always go here even though it's out of our way due to the service and quality of live insects and rodents, unlike other reptile/pet stores.Nice selection of reptiles, amphibians and arachnids

Primeval Pets is great! Everyone there is friendly & knowledgeable. They have tons of feeder options. I go in to buy frozen pinkies in bulk for my baby kingsnake, and they're good quality and only $2 a piece which is super reasonable. They also have lots of animals for sale that are always so fun to look at, I'll spend over a half hour interacting with the turtles and geckos sometimes. If you're looking for tanks, hides, bedding, decor, lighting, etc...they have plenty to offer in that department too!Thank you Primeval, you rock!

They have a very large selection of reptiles. They have all different ages as well. Their worm prices are pretty good. They do sell accessories, however they can be purchased much cheaper on Amazon. I do think in general they are a little pricey, but the animals seem more loved than at places like PetSmart or something.

If you have ANY kind of exotic pet this place is a wealth of knowledge and great advice. They are also the best place to purchase pets and feeders in the entire Rogue Valley. The staff are always very helpful but sometimes you must be willing to wait as it can get busy! There are lots of cool animals to look at while you wait and if you're sharp-eyed enough you may even find all of them in their easy-to-hide-in bioactive enclosures.

I’ve made a habit of stopping at pet stores everywhere I go. Just to see what kinds of reptiles you can get where & see how knowledgeable the people are. PrimeEvil is about as polar opposite from Petco experience with the “assorted rare” pythons as you can get. They know exactly what everything is & how to best care for them. I would recommend just passing up all the other local pet stores & go to PrimeEvil & see Konrad. I’ve been stopping by for a while. The owners have changed a few times but he’s always been there. He just helped me with a Boa that refused to eat anything on her own hot months and he got her eating in minutes. PrimeEvil & the staff are all amazing

Specialists in reptiles and other unique creepers, this shop is more than a pet store. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Jose helped us get set up to take our first beardie home (see photo) by providing care instructions, identifying the items we will need, and letting my son interact with the dragons before choosing which one he was comfortable with. Primeval Pets is motivated to earn your business. They have live feed and everything else you need!

I love this place!! I originally went in for advice about being a good bearded-dragon parent, but fell in love with all the little creatures!! I can't say enough about the owners and staff that work there either. They are so wonderful and no one is in a rush to get you out the door. I brought one of my grandson's there just so he can meet the large iguana. He fell in love with the place too. They are such a compassionate crew who love their reptiles.

What can I say! The entire staff was just flipping phenomenal. Great atmosphere, they know their stuff too! We brought home a Ball Python on Saturday and TODAY is feeding day Tuesday. Only had her a few days and MAN, Konrad has been awesome... texted him a few times for some clarity on her demeanor and she is LOVING our home. Would recommend these guys TIME and TIME again! Just fantastic service and feel like friendship and bonds can be made at the store too... and that's rare for retail! So thrilled with our purchase!

Love this place and the staff…always friendly and knowledgeable.watch where you step cuz once in awhile you’ll find a big ole lizard of some sort roaming around. I absolutely 100% recommend this place for all your reptile needs…4 bear dies and 2 gecko’s and 1 ball python…love them all.

The store smells so bad now. I also had noticed when i went in for crickets that many animals look neglected and sick. Some enclosures that are supposed to be humid, were dry as a bone. Empty water dishes, old dead bugs in the food bowls, substrate in frog tanks that looked ancient. The new owner specifically is sending this once great business, right to hell in a handbasket and the animals are the ones paying the price. Ill never spend another penny here.

Came into the shop for my first snake and the staff was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I had sooo many questions and they did not hesitate to be helpful and kind about it. I was able to buy my snake on lay-away because his tank was not set up yet, so that was really great! My mom thought I was crazy but I brought her in to meet my snake and we spoke with Conrad (he's the snake man, knows everything there is to know). We left the store with my mom being excited about my little ball python!

My husband stumbled upon this place about a month ago, went in and talked to one of the employees who was very knowledgeable and nice. He convined me to bring our daughters back so we could "look" at some snakes. After an hour and a half spent talking with Conrad, we ended up taking home a burn victim. We named our boy Severus Snake and we are already so in love with him. He took to his new home easily and has been a great addition to our family. We were able to get all the supplies needed to care for him from the shop and we go back weekly to get his fresh meal. Definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to purchase or even learn about reptiles.

My family and I visited Primeval Pets this week and couldn't of had a better experience. I am somewhat of a conasuer of reptile shops and this one has it all. Clean healthy animals, knowledgeable staff that were extremely friendly to my family (especially my three year old), and beautiful clean and healthy environment. Cheers to the staff we will be back.

The store is wonderful, most of the people that work there are wonderful, but today one of the people helping me buy a crested gecko tried to sell me a juvenile and called it a sub adult. Then told me that they don't grow that big. He attempted to charge me the price of a sub adult, but when I told him 75$ was all I had, he quickly agreed. Prices there are very reasonable and they have a huge variety.

went in to get more information about a python I acquired, Konrad was super helpful as well as knowledgeable about the animal. it never felt like he was trying to sell products we didn’t need, but was genuinely concerned about the animals needs and welfare. I was very impressed with our experience here!
