This campground is a hidden gem. Greg, the camp host, is seriously the best camp host I have ever met. He makes staying there incredibly fun and keeps the place so clean and run well! The setting is gorgeous, with old trees and a lovely creek flowing through the camp. The bathrooms are wonderfully clean and well stocked if you need to stop for a break. Thank you Greg!Restrooms: Spotlessly clean!

This is a small but beautiful campground by Knowles Creek, spot 7 and 8 are really nice. The Camp Host Greg is really helpful, kind and funny. He is a genuinely good human being. You do get a bit of road noise but the creek makes up for that Bathrooms were really clean

This campground is a little roadside gem nestled along Knowles Creek. Each campsite is meticulously cared for by the camp host Greg whose attention to the campers goes above and beyond! Highly recommended!

Just a beautiful site. Greg, the camp host, does an amazing job. The only downside to this camp is the proximity to the road and the logging trucks that fly up and down the road.

The campground itself is great and the host is stellar! The sites are large and there's enough trees to keep the sites mostly shaded all day. The creek is pleasant to sit beside and great for small kids to play. Saving the best for last though...Greg, the host, takes this from a good campground to a great one. He is attentive but without it ever feeling intrusive. He was kind enough to lend us a chair when we didn't have enough. And we especially appreciated his efforts to prevent people from stealing reserved campsites (as has happened to us at other campgrounds). The bathrooms have flush toilets, hot water at the sink and soap. The only thing we saw that some people might consider a drawback was how very close to the highway it is. One last comment...I recommend Campsites 5 or 7. Campsite 5 has the most shade. Campsite 7 has the best view of the creek and least view of the highway.

What a great campground. It was our first time staying. Greg the camp host was by far the best there is. We were trying to get the Oregon vs Colorado game on our tv, but could not, so he set up a tv at his site, and let us watch the game with him. That was going above and beyond in my book. He made sure we were all good and had everything we needed to have a great stay.If you don't mind hearing the traffic going by on highway, this is definitely a nice clean place to stay. Im looking forward to another stay next year. Thanks again Greg!!!

Wish I could give 10 stars cause this place was great. Greg was amazing and very welcoming. I felt very comfortable and safe allowing my children to play and explore. I love how it's not too big so I never felt like I was going to get lost and it's right by the water. My family and I had a wonderful time. I can't wait to go back.Restrooms: Clean, spacious and easy to get to.

Nice clean little Campground close to the highway so it's a little noisy during the day but not bad at night. I'm not an expert but I think I found a few 6 inch bear tracks down by the creek so store your food appropriately.

The camp host was amazing. He kept a very orderly and clean campground. The bathroom was immaculate. It’s small but homey. The only down side is the road noise. I would go back.

Nice place for a quick stop. It looks like a nice campground, too. The host was nice even after having people testing his patience smoking and parking in the roadway in spite of the signs.

What a surprise and delight to find this park. The host Greg is friendly, helpful and keeps the park clean. Not often I’m Impressed with Customer Service but this gentleman goes above and beyond to help the guest. When we want firewood it take just minutes to get. We look forward to returning again to and enjoying this nice park.

Beautiful campground when your looking to get away from the city!!! The camp host is super friendly and greeted us as soon as we pulled in! If you live in the Eugene area like I do and travel to Florence on occasion then you’ve driven right past this gem … Next time your headed to Florence or just looking to get away, you should stop at this camp ground and check it out!!!

Greg is a great camp host and runs a tight ship. I just wish the campground had hot showers.

We had fun, but mostly because of friends and family. The campsite itself was pretty mediocre- no good room to walk by the creek, it was too narrow and the creek got too deep to just walk through. Also the campsite is right by the highway-cars driving by were very loud, especially at night. It does get a full extra star from me though for the excellent bathroom- very clean, no bugs, flushing, and HEATED!

Old feller was very rude, wouldn't let me read the park sign board, he made our party pull away. Seeing others comments the host was "super nice" only leads me to believe out of state travelers are put off here or the comments are fabricated. Regardless, the host was very off putting.

Great place for the price. You definitely hear the traffic all night long but it didn't bother me like it would other's. I see myself going back.

I've read bad reviews about the lady camp host. Rest assured, she's no longer a problem. A very helpful, kind man hosts the park currently. A small and clean place to camp. All of the camp sites are right next to the stream. The stream is shallow and gentle enough to let kids explore and discover crawdads. There are only simple amenities. There's a restroom and firewood for purchase. I highly recommend this place.

The camp sites are updated and clean with paved parking for your trailer/RV or car and its a beautiful forest setting. it had a good sized fire ring with adequate room to sit around and a separate tent area. The creek runs at the back and during our stay we had access to the creek to wade in and explore. We were there in August and the water depth was perfect for kids/dogs to splash and play in. Bathrooms had flush toilets and we found the host to be friendly and accommodating. There are spaces located in the sun or shade and a couple spaces at the back that allow more privacy. If you want to stay a little warmer while being close to the coast then try this campground.

This is my first ever negative review, for starters. We booked a camp spot to Archie Knowles park back in the early part of the year. I landed myself in the ER yesterday and won’t be able to use our camp spot over Memorial Day. The campground refused to refund the money, stating it was their policy while also stating there was a wait list of folks hoping for a spot to open up. This is a terrible policy as it not only puts us out of $100 (multiple spots) but others will miss out because the campground refused to deviate from their policy. Amelia stated this was her stance and she spoke for Cynthia in her decision.

Nice park and nice host. Was kind of upset about the people smoking in the bathroom especially sense I have young children who had to use those bathrooms and breathe that in. Feel like the park could enforce it a little more but it is what it is I guess. I tried to call the number on the board to report the guy smoking but no one would answer. 5 stars for the park scenery and 1 star for the service. That's why I left a 3 star rating.

Small and clean with water close by, most of the time. There is a good amount of road noise during the day, but it's tolerable. Campground host is a nice person. Firewood available, toilets, no showers, no power, but a nice little campground.

Pretty little campground. Lots of highway noise during the day. It would be so much better if the county would clear out a space in front of each site so that we all have a view and access to the creek.

Very nice little campground right off the highway. Easy access to a nice shallow creek and really well maintained camp sites. Only downside is the road noise but it's easy to forget it's there and at night it gets pretty close to silent. I'll definitely go again.

Don't go to this campground the camp host is very noise & rude she will come in to your campsite unannounced. If you have a dog don't bring them here . The campground is to close to the highway & it is way to small & it is always noise because of the car's on the highway & it is dry camping. The camp host threaten to get my dog taken away from me by the animal control all because he got off of his leash to smell a female dog. Me & my husband was treated very poorly by the camp host the to time's we stayed there .We will never camp there again. We both give two thumbs down. You should just go to the beach in Florence oregon to camp .It is only 14 miles to Florence from Mapleton. Drive safely and happy camping.
