TLDR: The meat manager is really great at helping pick the perfect cut at a fair price.I stopped by Ray's Food Place on my way through town because I saw they were having a meat bonanza and I was craving steak. Problem is my husband has trouble chewing steak and I am not the best at cooking them. The meat manager, Nate, saw me struggling and offered his help. I wish I would have written down what he picked out for me because it was the most tender and delicious steak I have ever had! He even found me one that had an amazing sale pri e too!Next time I am on that side of the mountain I will be going back!

Great quick trip in for some snacks. Store was stocked and organized. Employees were really friendly and personable, restroom available, produce looked beautiful, deli was on point and service was quick!

Nice selection of food and decent hours. Prices may seem high to some people, but that's almost always par for the course when you get away from the big-box retailers like Walmart or WinCo so I really didn't mind. Especially since the location is convenient. It's a nice convenient location that saves an hour round trip drive into Bend, which I'm definitely all for. The store was clean, employees were friendly, selection was good. I'd have zero issues coming here again.

Staff is great - very friendly & helpful.Unfortunately everything is so obscenely expensive even by today's inflation standards. The only thing worth buying there for me is produce because nowhere else in town has a consistent selection of produce - even then almost everything is expensive.Like I said; the staff are friendly and the store is clean it's really just way too expensive in comparison to other grocery stores in town. A lot of things are more than double the price of elsewhere

They want us to shop local but prices are sky high, very unreasonable. It's cheaper to buy fuel and drive to Bend if you need more than a few items.

Lots of choices for such a small store. A bit spendy, but it is in La Pine you know. Great staff, very helpful. Be a member and get savings. Still did not win at Powerball though.

Oof...the price for anything here is outrageous & every time I go there, I get horrible customer service...the cashiers very rarely talk to you (unless they know you) like, not even ask how you are or have a nice day or anything! Last time (11-5-22) the cashier was unfriendly, didn't say a single word to us, but had no problem leaning around us & yelling over us across the store at the other cashier.

Staff is very friendly. A cashier named Colten was very fun and helpful to my family and I as we went through the line with our small children. They will be looking for him next time we have a grocery run, thanks Rays!

Nice store with decent selection, clean and well organized......however, if you live in rural Oregon, Ray's is known as either the ONLY store in town or near to it, prices are insanely high compared to competitors! But I guess when you are almost the only option, you got people by the short hairs.

My husband got fresh cut fruit. Kids started eating it and said it tasted bad. Found out it was 3 days expired. Expired 10/7/22 we got it on 10/9/22 It was so bad! I was shocked they even had it on the shelves to sell.

Friendly staff and decent prices and product selection for a smaller grocery store. Ray's Food Place is in smaller towns, and has a great reputation for service and good prices. The La Pine store is the best Ray's I've visited. We were not in the market for produce, but the produce looked fresh and delicious. Huge deli section, with a good variety from which to choose. We found everything that we wanted, without any issues.

For the most part, a great country store, but nothing to rave about. Convenient stores are carrying the same brands; which they dumpster drive for, and selling for more. What happened to fresh? And top brands? Great staff; especially in the meat department.

Management awesome, they try. Only a handful of the employees are helpful (Tim, Bill, Shane, Cora ,all the butchers) They're not the same store they were a year ago. I never get my produce or deli there (especially the fried chicken) Hours are super great! But night time is lazy employee gossip , party he'll!Cora and Shane make night time shopping a pleasure. As far as I'm concerned I wouldn't shop there if they were not there.

I don't go there often because I have a limited income. I do stop there when I don't want to travel further. They sometimes have some good sales. I really like their bakery & deli area; they have some things I like there. The service has always been good there. Access is good also. I will try to post a picture or two of Ray's that I took today. Unfortunately it is very smokey here and has been for a while now. Ray's is on the north end of LaPine & is easily visible from Hwy 97.

The cashiers are always nice even though they, like everywhere else, are experiencing a staffing shortage. Prices have made me raise my eyebrows on more than one occasion, and the selection is...lacking, but it's pretty OK for a tiny town in rural Oregon.

Super expensive. For example: In the bakery they had 4 brownies for $9.99, albeit each had different frosting.😂 In Bend the same thing is $4.88. The staff is always super nice. The prices here are super crazy.

I enjoy going to Ray's food place very nice people store seems pretty clean they have a deli a meat department. Good variety on salads very good baked chicken pretty reasonable in price meat department pretty reasonable price is a little high good produce department. Parking lot very large RV accessible. Nice place to get all your needs..
