They do not disclose pricing beforehand, they will do procedures or give vaccines and when you come to pick up your pet, tell you an inflated amount. If you are unable to pay in full, THEY HOLD YOUR PET HOSTAGE UNTIL PAYMENT IN FULL IS RECEIVED! THE RANSOM IS $25 PER DAY on top of whatever your original bill was. My "few hundred dollars" procedure was $1200 when I picked my dog. My husband watched a senior citizen picking up her cat from a nail clip appointment who was charged $100!!! "Oh, she needed vaccines updated" was their excuse. That's why they don't let you go back with your pet, so you have no idea what they're doing 😤🤬 Drive elsewhere for better service!!!

They treated my senior cat with compassion, producing a quick diagnosis and professional care. She was taken in after vomiting blood, lethargic, and not at all herself. After a few days, she has fully recovered from whatever was ailing her (parasites were suspect) and is back to being her loving self. They have also spayed my younger cat and assisted with "sanitary shaves", as she is a long hair kitty. You get what you pay for. They are not cheap. However, would you compromise the quality of care for your furry family member for the sake of a few bucks? This vet is worth every penny and has taken excellent care of my cats!

This veterinary clinic is amazing. The care that the vet staff gives is incredible. Everyone is so nice, and they truly love each pet that comes in. They have so many goodies too and anything I could ever need for my puppy. There is never a wait when I come to my appointments, they are efficient and personal. Wish I could give them 10 stars!

Keep on driving don't stop here! They do not give a rats-___ about any animals, they are big believers in puppy mills, interbreeding the animals all for a profit. Because mass producing over priced Yorkies and others, the animals have life long health issues which these vets then can get another payment. Keep on going, don't stop here.

$ hungry .Charged us over $350 to give our dog,who was dying, ibuprofin for pain and put him down.Charged us emergency fees 2xs for just walking in.Lack of compassion.Didn't say sorry,just took our dog abruptly and put him down hours later.

Not my at home vet however while traveling through town would definitely use this clinic again. Excellent service and very nice. A Urine culture was done for my puppy, it took 5 days to get the results, after the results the office called in a rx in Hoodriver for me to treat my dog. I had a horrible experience.I signed a contract all inclusive and paid in advance.A week later due to my mistake I received and except a bill. All OK. Then I received a bill for the remaining app. I refused to pay because the contract covered all!

Friendly staff.. But I was actually the one who diagnosed my dog with allergies I did some research and found out that my dogs breed has a lot of allergies when I took him in I told them what I had found out the guy acted like I was crazy and said they would have to do a bunch of different tests to see what was going on I said ok then why don't you start with allergies.. Fast forward a couple months we're back at the vet and they finally did a scrape and will you look at that it's allergies! But like I said the staff is really friendly 😂

Dr. Colleen is the best; such a kind & loving vet whom I feel treats your pets as if they're her own! I've seen Dr Mike as well, but usually when I already know what I need for my dog (certain medication or an abcess drained). Anne the receptionist is really amazing as well.

Every time we camp in John Day we stop by to see Wilbur. Today I came by to get puppy food and was able to have his nails trimmed. Everyone there is always delightful and helpful. It gives me peace of mind when I'm far from home that this Vet Center is here!

In and out in under 10 minutes. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing but everyone was nice enough. The vet tech was wonderful and the building is beautiful. I got the antibiotics, rattlesnake vaccine, and nail clipping my dog needed so no complaints there. The only thing that keeps me from giving 5 stars is that I felt rushed out. The examination was minimal (again, not sure if that was good or bad; they either REALLY know what they're doing or they don't have much time) and the vet didn't talk to me much at all so I have no idea what he concluded based on his examination, only that he prescribed antibiotics so I assume it was an infection. Maybe I'm being over sensitive because I'm an obsessive dog-mom but I would have liked to been given information like when I could expect my dog to improve or how many drops of the antibiotic I'm supposed to put in his ears each time I use it.

I'm from out of town, and not impressed with the vet. I would avoid taking your pet to him. Dr Mike seems to have no personal skills with pets (our puppy - 12 weeks) or people skills. How could you not like a puppy? Our puppy needed an xray to confirm she had passed some staples she swallowed, and he didn't greet the dog or do anything to make her comfortable with him, and when he brought her back after xray- he just placed on the table stated the staples were gone, then walked back out. Did not get to see the xray or have further communication. I did hear that the other vet (Colleen) was excellent. So if you can't see her - I would avoid going here. I heard from another patient that one of the puppies from a litter brought in to him to have dew claws removed passed, and it was the healthiest on of the litter. Anyway, good luck if you go here.

This afternoon my dog got into a scuffle with another dog and thankfully they were open on a Saturday. We got in right away and were seen by Dr. Mike, I was thrown off when he came in and asked me what I wanted him to do.... stitch him and give me ointment...I'm not a vet I do not know what is best..he seemed very nervous with my dog and didnt even bother cleaning the wound....he looked at it for probably a minute and said I'll just give you some ointment. I do not feel like he took the time to really examine the injury or cared too even the nice woman at the front desk seemed suprised that we were only seen for less than 5 minutes.. very disappointed and would not recommend Dr. Mike.

My first encounter with the professionalism of these two vets and this clinic was with my dog, Darby. They diagnosed her correctly, did the necessary operation, gave me correct instructions how to care for Darby after surgery and what her life would like in light of her injury. That has been about 13 yrs ago. They also spayed Darby around 1999. The spaying operation was routine. The operation was discussed. They gave me correct instructions on how to prepare Darby for surgery, what would be her condition coming out of surgery, how long for recovery. Everything went well.Not too long ago, after Darby passed away at 12.5 yrs old, I acquired two puppies. One of my dogs, did not feel well. The symptoms were discussed, the cause of those symptoms were brought to light, the necessary steps were given and my dog is doing better. I would recommend this vet. clinic and each of the two vets. to anyone.

Worst care I’ve ever received by any vet clinic. Dr mike is unreliable (waited for results on a test that he brushed under the rug / called him about it multiple times only to be hung up on and treated with disrespect ) I will never return. I am disgusted and disappointed that someone as cruel and uncaring as him is even allowed to be at this clinic. Sad and disappointed is an understatement. I suggest you look anywhere else for care.

I enjoyed that veterinary center! I went there with my mother and also my aunt who is a rancher, lives down the street, and needed and medication in the form of some shots to administer to her cattle.
