We go for lunch occasionally..the 4 cheese grilled cheese sandwich is good...also the bacon cheeseburger. Have had the tomato soup and liked it..I usually don't like tomato soups. There is a bathroom in the restaurant bar. But with the numbers of seasonal pass through travelers that just need a potty break..the Porta potty is their best option.

Someone already said this in her review. I wish I had seen it before walking inside this place. Needed a bathroom and did not want to use a porta - pottie I saw outside. I went in the store and was forced to buy something by a VERY RUDE woman in order to use her “ customer’s only” bathroom that turned out to be that porta-pottie !!! Unbelievable, the nerve! She was clearly hiding the whole situation.

Horrible customer service. I wish I could give it 0 stars. I was on a long drive and I needed to use the bathroom badly. I stopped here and went into the store. I asked the old lady behind the counter “do you have a bathroom I could use please?” She responds “yeah for customers not for anyone who walks in here.” Okay fair. But she said it in a very rude way. I pick out an overpriced Gatorade and wait at the check out. She is arguing with two non English speaking people about their ice cream order. I stand and wait and wait my bladder feeling like it’s going to explode. Once she finally rings me up she tells me the bathroom is outside. Turns out, there is no bathroom. Just a DISGUSTING porta potty that I could have easily used without purchasing anything or even going in there. If you’rethinking of stopping here, don’t. There’s much better places in the next towns over.

I haven't ate in a restaurant in about a year. The taste in my mouth was better before I decided to eat here. I ordered the BLT and my 6-year-old son could do a better job. The sandwich was just thrown together. One slice of bacon in the BLT. The cook had a I could give a F#$@ about it attitude. I highly advise everyone to not waste their money or time here. Also they do have a bathroom inside with a sink but depending on what mood they are in they might let you use it and they might not as well as the porta potty outside the store. If you don't spend a certain amount of money, they won't unlock it for you regardless if you're a human being and need to go to the bathroom

Absolutely terrible customer service. Have driven past this place 100's of times over the years. Thought we'd stop in and have some lunch. The employee who was working the store and the cafe was beyond rude to us in regards to their nasty port-a-pot in their parking area and then rude again when we tried to have lunch at their adjoining cafe. We left and won't ever go back. So much for thinking we'd support their small business, especially after the fires.

Went there for family celebration... I had the chicken strip basket.... OMG!! the chicken strips were large/ freshly cut, battered, & fried to order... batter was crispy golden, served with seasoned French fries, & a crisp green salad topped with 3 different cheeses,a beautiful edible flower, bell pepper rings, strawberry, cucumber slices. You get your monies worth here. We will definitely come here again. The Country Store has quite the selection of goods. Special Surprise was the large handmade Truffles & the many flavors of them. This Unique store is a must to visit.

I can't say that I was expecting to run across a chocolate/coffee shop with rainbow flags and a "Love Wins" banner strung along the front in BFE Oregon, but I was pleasantly surprised.I had a long drive home and got an Americano and some chocolates to go. I was expecting the usual brown water that you get from coffee shops in the middle of nowhere, but I was happy to be mistaken! It tasted awesome. I make this drive a lot and I'm very happy that this place exists.

This is an actual mom and pop market, owned by locals. Super friendly and helpful, offer all the snacks and drinks, ice and even chocolates! I'd your looking for ice cream or actual restaurant food...these guys have that to.Stop in here first and cater to an actual local owned, friendly country store...you won't be dissapointed.I was super happy with the friendly service, helpfulness and food we got yesterday.Stop here instead of Detroit high maket...give back to the actual community.

Beyond what you expect at a country store: chef made take out and reservations for sit down dinning with fresh herbs, creative menus.. I had an amazing sweet & sour chicken salad with mixed greens, edible flowers and crispy onions. Excellent.

Great place near Detroit Lake. I had the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and salad. Also a bar (with happy hour), The store has groceries, coffee bar, fishing gear (live worms), truffles, hand-dipped ice cream.

Nice guys running the place. Prices are extremely high but that's what you get with supply and demand. Worth the drive to Detroit about 3 miles West of here if you are looking for more selection with lower prices. They have ice cream cones which is nice and awesome truffle selections. Are a bit spendy but delicious!

If you are in the Detroit Lake area and need Ice, Beer and stuff...Skip the Mountain Store in Detroit and hit this little store in Idanha. Great Corndogs with a variety of stuff including select chocolates.

Quality ice cream, and fancy chocolate truffles round out the typical convenience store items. Also friendly staff at this last stop on your way to Sisters, or first stop on way back. They are a regular stop for me.

DO👏 NOT 👏 STOP 👏 HERE👏Uncomfortable from the moment I walked in.Walking into that store was like walking into a horror movie scene. Which is not really an issue for me, however, there was no one in sight. I stood there in the vacant space for a good 30 seconds before this old man oozed out of the woodwork with a bag of prepopped popcorn in his hands. I understand, like most people should, that restrooms at rural gas stations are usually for customers. I grabbed a few things I wanted to buy. Put them on the counter. And asked if I could use the restroom before I paid. How weird would it be to pay for food and drink. To then leave your things at the counter, take them out to your car or bring them to filthy water closet (who knows how many people have been in there. Yuck). The man behind the counter, who had been eating popcorn the entire time he and I had been talking prior to that, laughed in my face, projectiling bits of chewed popcorn in my direction. And said "I've heard that one before". I paid for my things. Left them on the counter and asked if I could use the restroom. He said "yep". I responded "where is it?" Again, he laughs in my face, popcorn comes out of his mouth, he bites into another handful. At this point, I'm wondering if there is even a restroom in the building. Because an uncomfortable amount of time had gone by. I was about to grab my things and leave when he said "straight to the back". Ugh. I feel ashamed for even contributing to that store.
