This is an amazing store! From hardware, clothing, boots, electronics, home and garden, toys for kids and adults....the list goes on and on.The brands they carry are top name. Prices are near what you find in the city. I was very impressed by the variety and selection of what they carry. Really, one stop shopping in this small town if you aren't shopping for groceries.Can't express how surprised I was with the diverse stock they have.Also, the staff was extremely helpful and polite. Highly recommend to anyone passing through to swing by and have a gander!

Really great place to shop. I can't describe half the problems we were having with our rig, nor some of the tools we needed to repair it. Wes was as wonderful as he is knowledgeable. He understood the issues I poorly described and ensured I had the tools / necessary attachments to get the job done. Now that is great service. 😀

I've grown up in Burns and shopped here for over 20 years. Now I'm suddenly being told I can't have a bag in the store because they have a theft issue. Not a nice way to treat a loyal customer who has never stolen anything.

I'm usually randomly in this store to look for parts to maintenance my trailer. Anytime I'm lost, the staff is amazing. Will has helped me countless times, has even upsold me on quality products. Today he pointed me in the right direction... I had worn holes thru my jeans. It was time, to upgrade. He pointed me in the right direction. Told me what he knew of THAT side of the store - I never knew they had that side! He had to go back to the more or less hardware part of the store - and within minutes this lovely lady Rachel came out to help me. Little did yall know.. I haven't been able to afford to buy myself a pair of jeans or anything for.... too long. Far too long. Today.. yall helped me. Beyond what words could say. The fact that they were so personable, knowledgeable, and so ready to help a customer..... Big R, I'm thankful you have such a wonderful team.Thank you Will & Rachel from Big R!!!! Yall keep rocking on!!!

I like the store itself, the items are neatly organized and it's very easy to find what you need. I took two stars away for the lack of friendly customer service. I understand that I'm a visitor, but I don't appreciate the half smiles based on my ethnic background. Myself and the two ladies I was with felt very uncomfortable and uneasy while we shopped there. A big smile goes a long way.

Decent hardware store. They can cover you on everything from plumbing to electrical. They even have a little toy section. Great if you need something that day. However, if you're looking for a better price, and have the patience/time to wait, I'd recommend you look around online. Otherwise, this is about your only option.

Great place! Friendly helpful staff and they gave us local recommendations that made our truck repair layover a treat. Never been so happy about a breakdown. This is what old country feels like, Big R. Thanks for being there.

Horrible experience, ive lived here for 3 years... I have been quarantining and I could not return one of my items. But Big r has a 30 day Return policies, so I haven't been able to return such items. Their manager speaks to you like your a criminal. And if you need to get into the electronical department you have to wait atleast 3 minutes.

I get that Burns is out in the country. But it is still in Oregon and there is still a mask mandate. You wouldn't know that at Big R where we were the only shoppers with masks and even a few employees weren't wearing their masks. They have a great selection of stuff, but they need to follow the rules at Big R.

Burns location is what you can expect from a small town hardware store. Prices are reasonable for tools and some home repair supplies but clothing is a bit pricey considering the limited selection.

Handy, but compared the the valley (albany Oregon). This place is a dive. Selection is LIMITED. Prices are high. They can be, cause they are the only store! But if you need something, they probably have something that will work.

You'll eventually find what you need, but it will not likely be due to an employee helping. The service is shakey at best. There is usually one employee around that is friendly and helpful, but then you have to go to the checkout lines, where people act like they're indentured servents.

Only one clerk out of the 5 in the store was wearing a mask. No one put one on as they saw us. One employee openly told us, against the state mandate, "you don't have to wear those in here". Excuse me but the state law says yes I should and so should you Mr. Coughing mccough.
