This is a beautiful place to spend four or five days, government camp. The lodge is approximately 7 to 8 miles from Mount Hood, timberline Lodge.Nearby activities: There’s several ski areas, timberline, Lodge, Meadows, and ski bowl.Plus, they have cross country skiing.Welches, Oregon and Sandy Oregon are nearby.Walkability: The lodge is located in government camp. And there are walking trails and there is the main street in government camp that is walkable.

My husband & I and another couple stayed in Unit 1 & we were just delighted with the huge rooms, washer & dryer unit, and impeccable cleanliness of the unit. We cooked our meals in the fully-equipped kitchen almost every night. If you prefer not to cook, there are plenty of very great restaurants within walking distance of the unit, or simply drive the short distance to Timberline for some fantastic dining at their award-winning restaurant. The rustic furnishings and wall-hangings really create the look & feel of a luxury cabin/condo & the beds were a delight to sink into after a long day of skiing at Mt Hood. Very comfortable, top quality bedding. No shortage of towels, either. Amen to that! Highly recommend this unit while visiting the Mt Hood area.

We stayed at The Lodge for 2 nights. We had a wonderful stay. The beds were very comfortable and plenty of linens. The fireplace was great. It is always so nice to have a full kitchen. There were very limited cooking items - had to improvise baking dishes and mixing bowls. But the condo was clean and comfortable. Would love to stay again..

It was a perfect location! The staff was SO friendly and helpful. The store below the lodge was SUCH a convenience. What a fun experience to be near the local dine-ins, and within walking distance from SkiBowl! With your stay, you also have passes to go up to Timberline Lodge and enjoy the amenities of sauna, outdoor HEATED pool, hot tub, and the history of the lodge! Perfect experience. We loved every minute of it!

2nd best to staying on the mountain. Only 6 miles to Timberline but adjacent to ski bowl east. Condo 5 has a king size bed with master bathroomom and a loft with several beds - no privacy privacy there. The condo is fully equipped, kitchen, laundry and dishwasher with a gas stove, my personal favorite. Nice stay and ski deals, too.

Filthy! Not maintained. Hair in fridge. Fire alarm battery went off entire time. Garbage disposal broken. Pans under sink to trap water issues when we arrived. Dirty dishes. Mold in shower. Loud noises and doors slamming all night. No cleaning service all week. Disgusting beds well worn in. No overall pride in ownership. Unit 8 is no good.

the lodges sucked. When my family got there the sink and coffee pot was dirty. Then when we wanted to the shower, the showers were moldy and had green fungi on the bottom. When we went to sleep the fire alarms were beeping like they needed knew batteries. So we went to the office about all of this and they ripped out the fire alarms and did nothing about the showers. Almost half of the lights were out. If I could give this 0 starts I would. Do not waist your money at this place.

These condos could be great, but unfortunately ours needed a major deep clean. There were crushed snacks and whole peanuts strewn about in a few places, which was a huge concern as I have a toddler with severe peanut and tree nut allergies. Other issues: A sewage smell was coming from the bathroom. A dirty diaper and half eaten candy was left in a dresser drawer. Dust piled up on the high ceilings and fixtures.I ended up scrubbing lots of surfaces and going over things with disinfecting wipes to ensure we didn't have to deal with an allergic reaction, so at least we left it better than we found it!

Fab staff ... condo has a full kichen with nice dishes ... washer and dryer ... attractive. Grocery store right down stairs ... Huckleberry Inn just steps away. Great location ...convenient to play, walks, or just hanging.

Located in the heart of Government Camp, the Lodge Condos offered a luzury experience within walking distance of several dining and drink options, with great customer service and plenty of perks available at the main Timberline Lodge. Definitely plan on returning next year, and suggest brining a group to play and have a good time at the mountain.
