Rotten food from the produce section visible as soon as I cut into it, and rude self service check out people that don't even say so much as a word, but still expect you to have your ID out and waiting on them. Spending the extra time and gas to drive to the Cornelius Walmart is getting more attractive by the day.

I am not happy. 4:00 on a Monday afternoon and not one piece of chicken in the counter. Baked, fried or otherwise. I would think you would want chicken in your counter whether it is on sale or not. Oh we sold out of everything because it’s on sale. What about the dinner rush? Man I managed grocery stores for 25 years . That would be unacceptable for me. Fill that counter up with chicken ! Your going to sell it!

A couple weeks ago i was in to get some meat that was on sale but non was cut or wrapped,Tani in the meat dept was amazing she came out grabbed what I needed slapped it wrapped it and was on top of it for me! Thank you Tani!

Erin in the deli made a ordinary shopping experience extraordinary. While making our sandwiches she was funny, kind, personal, and authentic. She treats customers how she would want to be treated. I used to work at a grocery store and she’s a shinning star in my book. Make sure you treat her right Safeway! She deserves recognition.

This is my go to store, staff are very friendly. I have an issue the other night I went to self check out and had a negative experience.I felt like I was being ignored by the person working at the self checkout. My register light was flashing and my child ask why it was doing that I told him that I had to show the staff my ID because I had rang up some beer. Staff was less than 10 feet away.I stated loudly multiple times because he wouldn’t look my way. You could say he wasn’t paying attention but he was able to help other people who lights were flashing after mine, how do I know? I saw them come in after me because I was looking around, and it took too long to be serviced. I kept ringing up items until I was unable to do so, then I announced customer needs help then he helped. Told my husband this story he knew who I was talking about because he said yeah that guy has trouble paying attention, but I felt it was racism.

Why is the deli and hot food section closed by 6pm? That seems like a very odd time to close, and you're losing money from a dinner rush. It makes more since to have the deli/hot food section should stay open until at least 8p.I shop at this Safeway on a regular basis and have heard the staff in this section say multiple times that they're closing early. Even when there were customers to be served.

Why don't you try to stop the thieves it would bring down grocery costs. You just let them walk out. You also need to work on the customer service skills of your employees. Need to help customers when they ask for it don't just ignore them.

The store looked so nice and inviting the Grand Reopening prices were better than excellent. The only issue was some aisles were too narrow with sale baskets in them. One guy keep going beep, beep, beeping behind us two carts and three people didn't fit. We couldn't move enough for him. We were very pleased with employee help, courtesy and nice smiles.

Got sick after taking care of sick kids all weekend. I have a 10 hour work shift ahead of me and very limited time to get the medicine I need to get me thru the day. Went to Safeway around opening, was there a couple minutes early because I forgot the car clock is fast. An employee walked up to the door, unlocked the top part but sat with his hand on the on button and sat there watching the seconds tick away on his wrist watch (literally waiting for seconds, not minutes to pass before opening). I was the only person waiting outside, it’s not like they had some huge crowd of people waiting to get in. What harm would have come from opening the door ten seconds early? Either the employees are so lazy they can’t handle ten extra seconds of customers walking in their stores or the company is so corporate and disconnected that they don’t allow their employees any wiggle room. I left then and there, not at all interested in supporting this store. The lines are ridiculous, employees are often rude (there are some gems in there to be fair), and from what I’ve heard they aren’t treated that great so it’s really no wonder. Absolute train wreck of a store. I overpaid at a convenience store instead.

Love the produce section here. There is often staff stocking and pulling items in this section and I appreciate this.It's a small store with limited items and they often run low on sale items, but does offer rain checks. This last trip we were able to purchase all the sale items we were looking for.Our last trip we found quite a few expired items of things we needed to purchase so was unable to purchase all the items on our grocery list. The prices tend to be higher on everyday items than other area grocery stores.The staff is friendly and helpful.

This is where I get the majority of my groceries, and I've never been let down! The staff are usually very helpful and quick. They have a huge selection of items and are typically well stocked. Their pharmacy is also great! I've had issues with a different Safeway's pharmacy, where they wouldn't auto refill when I asked or wouldn't send a message when my meds were ready. This Safeway? Never had an issue!My personal favorite is the bakery. I love getting their baked goods, specifically the tarts and cakes. They're pretty cheap for how tasty and well made they are! $5 for a slice of cake big enough to be a meal. $20 for a 20" mixed fruit tart. $4 for a single person tart. I highly recommend trying their bakery!

Went to purchase fresh food for dinner. It was about 7:30 and the selection took was horrible and what was available had obviously been sitting around for a long time. Mainly went to get fresh soup. None could be found. I can understand that because of Covid that fresh self serve is no longer available but I would think they would still offer the fresh soups in containers to reheat. Ended up getting Chinese Food scraps. When I got it home my wife told me I should have gone to Panda Express. A huge plus was the young man working the deli counter had a great personality

Very nice, clean and polite, helpful staff. The remodeling is going beautifully. A full upgrade into a modern and more natural layout, especially the meat/ seafood and fresh produce sections. One more thing that I would like to point out is that all the remodeling is being done at night so as not to interfere with normal shopping hours. Very considerate... Kudos management! 😁

Don't use self-checkout if you see a woman in her 50's blond she's a horrible woman who will kick-off any man on self-checkout but is okay leaving a woman with checking out. So if you want to save some time. And not have to go rescan all your groceries again just avoid this horrible person their.

I've been going to Safeway for over 10 years. The last year or so since they have the new digital coupons it's been really a big rip off! This is how it works for me! A trip to Safeway is a two trip, trip! The first trip is to buy your groceries and the second trip is to bring your reciecpt and fight for the monies they ripped you off of! A couple weeks ago Safeway had Peaches on sale for $.88 cents a pound, a digital coupon. I reminded the checker of the price at the time of checkout. She rang it up at full price! I again reminded her of the coupon prices! She told me she couldn't sell them to me for that price! I told her I wasn't interested in buying them! So she said she would fix the price. I got home to do my normal double check on the potential Safeway mistake and sure enough she charged me full price on the peaches and a few other items! Oh, they also took the peaches! I returned a day or two later to get my monies and the Safeway manager said this is the last time we are going to refund money to you! I told him not to worry! This is the last time I am going to shop at this toilet! Several of my neighbors said they have the same problem and drive a little further to Winco as I now do! I think it's time for Safeway to get thier act togather before it turns into a Home depot!

It's a smaller cramped location. The staff is pretty consistent and they are very friendly. The made to order sheet cakes at the bakery leave a lot to be desired and were a ridiculous price. We've gotten two, hoping the first was a one off. Otherwise they have good stuff.

The Safeway Forest Grove is always clean and I appreciate that it is always in my opinion easy to get in and out of it and they have a good quality food especially when it comes to the vegetables and fruits I really like the store and I think it’s probably one of the better ones out here

5 starts for fresh produce and cleanliness! Staff is friendly as well. Only complaints I have are, it's a more expensive store. But I expect that, so I go when I want great produce! Or smaller trips for other things. And 2nd, the lines can get backed up quite a bit.

Pharmacy was amazing! They made the impossible at the Hillsboro location happen and saved the day by getting us our prescription on the same day. They were super friendly and helpful. I think this will be our new go-to pharmacy. Thanks for the great service!
