This here store exists. Almost an anomaly in the trade. This society right now is still going through changes. Where this will end up is anybody's guess. These neighborhood shopping centers are necessary but are no longer a requirement.

Great local Safeway close to home. Friendly employees and quick shopping trip. Self checkout available. Great deals especially if using the Safeway app. Fresh produce. Even though it's a smaller store, they usually have just what I'm needing. They stock shelves frequently throughout the week and the store is always clean and tidy.

Has just about anything you could need from kitchen supplies to dog treats. Fantastic that there's a Starbucks in there, a bakery, as well as hot food ready to go. The staff there have been nothing but helpful and kind. And amazing member club prices!

This Safeway location is the best in Eugene IMO. Stays pretty mellow and quiet in there and they rarely run out of stock (unlike the chaotic hell hole on 18th).My only few gripes about this location is that the local boomers who patronize this store tend to be snippy and downright verbally/emotionally abusive of the staff & the managers placate this terrible behavior which is honestly deplorable. You should have a vested interest in the well-being of your employees not the entitled Karens and Kevins who have zero emotional regulation presumably from breathing and drinking pounds of lead throughout their youth.

A male employee at the self checkout area decided to stand uncomfortably close to me and my wife while we checked out, then proceeded to reach over me to do something to the screen and walked away. Didn’t say anything single word to us the entire time. Very rude and uncomfortable, he followed us out the door too and still didn’t say a word to us.

Great place to shop, very clean and organized. Honestly the best people that work there, very friendly, personable and knowledgeable, especially the cashier Dominic. Items are a little more than I care to pay for and the meat department is severely lacking with the few options being thin cut. The positive side, the bakery has above and beyond improved with a variety of goodies that are fresh every day.

Glad East entry door is fixed. Larry, the manager is a great guy! Jane and Carl are great checkers! So glad I don't have to wear a mask in there anymore!However, I miss the coffee grinder. Also, there often is no milk in one quart cartons. We have to go to MOC sometimes to get what we want.

This is our local grocery store and pharmacy, and we love the convenience of its location. It is a smaller store so it won't always have the variety or volume of other Safeway stores, but it's a friendly place and never too crowded. All the services of the pharmacy are terrific--we get our vaccines there as well as medications--everything is efficient and smooth and informative each time.

Using "Just for You " in the Safeway app I save more than at Costco, or Winco on most things, and it is just about a mile from where I live. Safeway still has the best prices if you use the Safeway app for example this week you can get Asparagus for .98 ¢ a pound.

I ordered an Easter chocolate 1/4 sheetcake from the bakery and requested "pastel flowers." I was blown away by the beauty of the cake! Wow. The flowers were just so beautiful and the writing so neatly done. Several people commented at our event about it. It was tasty, too! Way to go, Safeway baker!

Judy (the pharmacist on staff) is kind, understanding, and helped us get medications quickly after surgery, something that Rite Aid refused to do. She has done numerous other wonderful things for family and friends and I can’t thank her enough. Larry, the evening shift manager, has also gone above and beyond to be helpful many times. This is a great store with fantastic staff! Keep up the great work!

Cool place to get food, but us middle schoolers come 4:00 pm on Monday Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday. Self check out and lanes are filled so watch out! They have a deli with Mac n cheese, chicken fingers, jo jos, and some others. They have donuts, and have cakes, cookies and also custom cakes, they have a Starbucks too that has a good seating area.

A solid choice for groceries. The produce is almost always fresh and reasonably priced. They also have a decent selection of organic produce. They have a wide selection of all the expected staples.

This Safeway is a reliable choice for price vs quality. It is a super important part of the neighborhood. I'm a pretty big fan of their deli and it's salt & vinegar wings. Thanks, all you hard working Safeway employees.

I go out of my way to come to this Safeway specifically. Never crowded, safe neighborhood, no pan handlers, polite workers, Starbucks, and good meat sales! Not the biggest Safeway but it'll do.

I don't usually shop at Safeway as they are too expensive. However due to formula shortage I'm constantly on a wild goose chase as WIC dictated the specific brand we can use. I went to Safeway on 18th in Eugene and the substitution formula would not be accepted by my WIC card at checkout. The girl in customer service called them to problem solve with no luck. She ultimately gave me the formula at no charge because obviously an infant has to eat. I'm so grateful to her!!! Happy Thanksgiving

Their groceries are overpriced in comparison to Winco and even Fred Meyer but there aren't a lot of options in the South Hills area so you make do. They just opened 3 self checkouts which has been a huge success because it seemed like there was only one checkout lane open, maybe two, and a need for more. It's not where you go to do your big shopping trips because it's just too expensive. Just went again and it hasn't changed. The digital coupons help but it's a pain and makes a short trip into a long trip.

My friends and I call this the secret Safeway. Even when it’s busy it’s not too bad, the staff is always nice, and they were especially aware and in top of their game during the height of COVID. I drive across town to shop from west Eugene to shop here 🤷🏼‍♂️

This must be one of, if not, the oldest Safeway's in the state. But don't let that deter you. For that reason and it's location it has this wonderful Mom and Pop feel. For those reasons, customer service is the very best you will find in any supermarket anywhere. It's genuine. The help I got from the young woman stocking shelves, to the man at the deli, to the cashier made me feel like the most important person in their store. I love it there. And I've never said that about a supermarket in my life. Everytime I go there it's an enjoyable experience. Wish I had taken a picture.

Good location with a wide variety of offerings. It seems like it's usually a little understaffed, so sometimes lines can move slowly, but other than that I've never had many issues. There's a place outside the front doors to refill your water jugs, so I usually only shop here when I have to do that.

Our neighborhood Safeway is awesome, having most everything a person needs to have good experience, great produce, prepared foods are available, beer, wine, a pharmacy, flowers and its well stocked with groceries.It's clean and the employees are friendly and helpful.

5/5 stars. These wonderful folks filled up my water bottle with ice water on the hottest day so far. I was out traveling with gremlins when they left me for dead in the middle of town with no water.Praise Safeway! They had a ready made sandwiches too which I hungrily partook.

Listen everyone I'm am not downing Safeway first of all but sadly I have to let people know about Starbucks ! I went inside excepting my usual drink with a added shot of espresso, and the lady said that there espresso machine was down , so I went to another Starbucks that was less then a mile down the road only to be told that there espresso machine wasn't working either ?? 🤔 Hmmm I thought rather strange that two machines at the same time are not working hopefully Starbucks gets it together soon !

Unfortunately this happens to be the closest grocery store to me so I am all too familiar with the poor selection and overly high prices. Also please save yourself some time and DO NOT use the pharmacy, I did when I first moved in and EVERY single time I went in for a monthly prescription there was a problem, such as 'they lost the refill' or 'never got the message for it' that is literally a robot you put your Rx number into and gives you an est pick up time. Not to mention the poor professionalism shown by pharmacy staff weather dealing with me or gossiping about others customers or coworkers. I will give credit to the grocery side staff who have all been nothing but pleasant and helpful though, s/o to them, truly gems. Also guys at SB rock.

I was looking for a good snack and I felt like sushi, went over to the cooler and they had a 6 days expired container with shrimp in it! I figured I would just get a donut instead and when I opened the case flys flew out... Never shopping her again
