The ribs were fall off the bone and had a really good flavor- definitely the best I’ve had in Oklahoma. The burnt ends didn’t really seem like “burnt ends”, just seemed like regular brisket that was cut up into squares- still had good flavor and were really tender. The sweet apple beans were interesting, I liked them and didn’t like them at the same time- I really enjoyed the sweet taste but the apple flavor was a little too strong in my opinion (it even had chunks of apple in it). The Mac and cheese wasn’t anything special but tasted fine. I also really enjoyed the sweet bbq sauce and the containers you squeezed them out of (you will have to see them to laugh at this comment).I really enjoyed the organization of the line, it wasn’t a clustered mess with people everywhere, it was easy and smooth transaction. The guy at the front was very nice and there was even a lady that took our trays when we were done.I enjoyed the atmosphere. It wasn’t too loud, the tables weren’t too close together, and had a nice little rustic charm. I wasn’t a fan of the chairs they had around the tables-some weren’t in the best condition.I will give them extra props for having actual baby changing tables in their restrooms- it was so nice!

Stopped in on our way through off I-44. Definitely worth the detour!The restaurant was so cute and eclectic with lots of little decorations that made me smile.Staff was so friendly and efficient.We got the brisket, ribs, hot links, potato salad and apple pie beans and they were all great.Parking: Good sized gravel parking area. It was raining so it was a little muddy.

I mean come on. GET IN MY MOUTH! Yes it’s that good.Besides waiting in line for 35 minutes to order our food. The atmosphere is great. Parking is rough but plenty of it. Staff is kind. Food comes out quick!100% get the jalepeño sausage link. Absolutely delicious.We came on a whim while driving to Tulsa and very happy we did!

First time trying this BBQ place. We got the ribs. They were very tender. I got burnt ends, chopped Brisket, apple 🍎 baked beans and Mac and Cheese. I took my chopped brisket and put on top of my mac and cheese and add BBQ sauce. It was really good. The burnt ends were really good. More like chunks of brisket. For dessert, you get a twinkie. It was worth the drive from Cushing to Wellston. Will be back.

I was torn between 3 and 4 stars, but went with 4 because it is the best I’ve had in Oklahoma. The food wasn’t as hot/warm as I would like it, and the prices are borderline ridiculous. We had 3 pulled pork sandwiches, a burnt end sandwich, 3 Mac and cheese, 1 order of beans, and 4 teas. I also go a half slab of ribs and 1 lb of burnt ends, cost me over $145. I have no complaints about the food, other than the temperature, is was all good. The apple pie beans were odd, but a good change from the usual. I think we probably spent about 30 minutes in line, inside the very dimly lit building the whole time. I think they could do with more than 1 order taker, but maybe they only have one for a reason. I may return, I may not, it’s an hour long round trip from Edmond for some bbq that doesn’t deliver what you can get in Austin or Kansas City, but it’s good for Oklahoma.

If you’re looking for central Texas bbq this place will disappoint you but food here is very good. The meat is tender and melt in your mouth but does not have the smoky flavor from an offset smoker. I had the brisket, ribs, hot links, and burnt ends. The burnt ends are by far the best item on the menu. I would not get the sausage/links again. Ribs and brisket were good but did not have the smoky flavor I expected. Prices are pretty reasonable for bbq and they have a full bar.

Man this is some of the best barbecue I've eaten in the entire world and I mean that literally like I've traveled all over the world and eating barbecue and this is Top Notch dudes are really cool that run the place a bit of a line but anything goods worth waiting a little while for but it does move quite quickly the burnt ends the brisket the chopped brisket the Apple baked beans the corn all my favorites give him a shot you'll love it I guarantee it hell even the chickens good

I've had multiple people I need to stop by here and how good the barbecue was. I finally in Wellston and was able to stop in. It's well worth it. Definitely worth checking out. Great barbecue and great sauce (if that's your thing).

I really liked this restaurant. It's only open on Friday's, Saturday's and Sundays. 11am to 3pm. It was very good. Two thumbs up. We went for lunch. The burnt ends were excellent, so were the ribs. My wife got a side order of corn on the cob. She said it was very good. I had the beans, very good. I recommend going. Get there early so you can get in line early. At 11:15am there was at least fifty people ahead of us. Just a thought.Parking: You parked on the grass next to the business. Or a gravel area.

My number one BBQ spot was been dethroned!This is the best BBQ I have ever had. My number 1 spot was Lewis BBQ in Charleston SC. The butcher BBQ stand has just taken my number 1 spot. Overall this place 10 out of 10! The pulled pork was by far the best pulled pork I’ve ever had. The turkey was so moist and had such great flavor!, the smoke came through perfectly, The ribs were perfect!! The texture of the ribs were amazing. The seasoning and the bark were fantastic. I will say I have had better brisket but not by a lot. I would say there brisket is top 3 or top 2 for me and was still amazing! We have been through the Carolina’s, Texas, Tennessee and now Oklahoma. The butcher BBQ stand is the win! Oh also get there early!!! We got there 30mins before they open and it was raining and there was about 30 people in front of us. Once they opened, the line was way out the door!!

Friday afternoon we stopped in on a small road trip. Big open seating area with plenty of tables. Room a bit dimmly lit and a blaring speaker system to announce order pick-up did not make for a relaxing time.I opted for the Hillbilly Philly, coleslaw, and an iced tea for just under $30. As others mention, good flavor on the burnt ends, but no char - more like hunks of rib meat. The sandwich married these with queso and jalapeno and overall was pretty tasty. Coleslaw was balanced well.Overall I enjoyed the meal.

Worth the 40+ minutes drive from Oklahoma City and another 40+ minutes waiting in line for a very very satisfying meal.The Meat Locker is a great way to get a generous sampling of all the meats they have to offer, and enough to leave the four of us full and smiling.We do have an extra order of ribs, which was a good decision as that was one of the best tasting fall-off-the-bone BBQ ribs. They are moist and need no dipping sauce at all.As alluded to, prepare to stand in line but that will give you enough time to decide what to get. The line stays long and you don't want to get back in line for seconds.They are known to sell out during the few hours they are opened, and if a place only opens three days a week, the food is worth every penny and every minute.

My buddies and I love barbecue and we have been looking for a good place since we have moved to Oklahoma City a couple of years ago. We heard about the Butcher BBQ Stand and had to try it. We got there at 10 am to wait in line so we could order at 11 am. They serve cold beer. They have domestic and craft. They even partner with one of the local breweries to make a beer unique for them. We ordered the meat locker with burnt ends and it was freaking delicious. This was the best barbecue I have ever had. The dry rubs are great and the sauces are great. I was with two Texans and both of them said the brisket was great. The jalapeño cheddar sausage and smoked chicken was delicious. The meat locker was so much good we were stuffed. My favorite side was the potato salad. I can’t wait to go back!

Best BBQ place in the OKC area! The food was fantastic and the portions were huge! The Chick-Q was flavored with some sort of amazing rub and was very tender & juicy! The Mac n cheese was some of the best I’ve ever had. Get there early as people line up about 10:00 am.The ribs are so tasty and so tinder the meat falls off the bone. The Burnt Ends are perfect and not burnt or hard. The Corn on the cob has a really tasty flavor of some sort of secret spice. Their BBQ sauce is sweet and smokey and best I can recall tasting. It opens at 11am on Saturdays but the line started at 10am and they serve till the food is gone which is about 3pm. They have lots of awards from BBQ competitions and the folks know how to cook it right and serve it perfect. Only thing you will need more of is paper towels or napkins.

The Butcher BBQ stand serves up excellent tender and delicious BBQ. The family controls from farm and ranch to plate. This was the best BBQ I have ever had. The single portion served 2 people twice. The portions are very hearty! Every meal comes with an authentic twinkie. The brave will dunk it in BBQ sauce for dessert. There is a reason for the Twinkie but you need to go and find out for yourself!

Showed up at 1030 waited in line about 20 minutes once they opened and took only 5 minutes to get food after I ordered. The staff is very friendly and entertaining.The meat was all cooked perfectly with a good flavor. The overall BBQ flavor is unique to this place. Can easily eat the meat without BBQ. The price is comparable to many places around for the amount of meat you get.The sides are great, onions and pickles, coleslaw and macaroni salad was all fantastic. The beans are different.. I liked them but they are not traditional oklahoma baked beans but they are worth the try. Kinda sweet. I would definitely eat here again.

Update for Oct 2022. The food is still great, but now if you get a 2 meat meal, they can't be the same- reason for downgrade. Telling me what I have to order if wanting 2 meats is disappointing. Make the drive you will not be disappointed. This was our first trip and we will definitely be back. Get there early or you will be waiting awhile. The line picture was at 1120am. The ribs are very tender and the burnt ends have a great flavor when with no sauce. Most folks did carry out but they do have heaters if you want to eat there.
