It used to be good. I guess no more. Very few customers on a Saturday nigh should have been a clue. We got calf fries that were inedible. Returned them and weren’t charged. The catfish and shrimp were way over cooked with what appeared old oil. They weren’t fit for human consumption. Even the fries were over cooked. We took our food home to feed the barn cats. Told our waitress. Her response, “Several people have complained and have sent their food back, it was either overcooked or under cooked.” Even the loaf bread was stale. The iced tea was rank. You’d think they’d be embarrassed to even serve food like that. They’ll be closed down within a month if they keep it up. I went with friends that had been going there for decades who said they’d never go back.

Always good food, the environment will make you feel at home, the service is always on point. This place has been on my favorites list my whole life. 10 out 10. Highly recommend.I grew up right around here, so I want to take a minute to defend our little Peach Orchard because of the negative reviews, yes it's a small menu, and it's all comfort food. It's all fried, but it is 100% good for the soul. And that's the point.

Another great place to get some fried catfish!! Cute little place that smells like a fish fry in the backyard when you get out your car. The food is excellent and the service is as well. Remember to bring your cash from the casino though! (There is an atm inside the restaurant.) Great pit stop if you are at the lake or want a break from the casino.Parking: larger parking lot with easy access to and from the roadKid-friendliness: very kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: easy single story access

A popular place on a Friday night. Small menu without a single vegetable, but that's why you go. Country food - fried catfish, chicken fingers, steak fingers, corn dogs... the only sides are fries and onion rings but you get Cole slaw, hush puppies, and bread.Don't like it deep fried? Then don't go. You go for the fried food. Right over the border.

This old fashioned restaurant offered an amazing homemade quality to simple food, elevating it to something divine. The tartar sauce was perfect and provided the best flavor I have ever had the privilege of tasting. The service made us feel like one of the family. I suggest you take some time and realize the treat you are getting when in this locale.

I love this place! Their greasy French fries and fried mushrooms are the best! The fish is great! (My kiddo likes the livers and calf fries.) Don't come in here looking for clean healthy eating. This is pure guilty pleasure, clog-the-arteries type stuff. Probably the healthiest thing here is the homemade tartar sauce. I don't think they even have side salads. But it is oh so delicious!Vegetarian options: There are no vegetarian options. You need to find somewhere else to eat if that's what you're looking for.Parking: You're going to park in a gravel parking lot. Nothing fancy but there's plenty of room.Kid-friendliness: I mean, there's WiFi so...

We drove over since we had wonderful things about this place. The service was horrible, never refilled my water and waitress was slow and rude. There are about 10 things on the menu and they were out of at least 3 of them, no onion rings, fried pickles, or calf fries. When our food finally came out the food was greasy and bland. 4 overcooked shrimp under a layer of greasy unseasoned fries. White bread, not even toasted, slapped on a plate and gravy was cold. Don't waste your time eating here

Old dry Catfish cooked in old burnt oil. It is rare I turn down food, but this stuff was horrible and inedible. The French fries also tasted like old burnt fishy cooking oil. It is sad as there are few places to eat after crossing the state line other than casinos and this place. There are ZERO peaches offerings on the menu, so don't get your hopes up.No thanks we'll eat in Texas prior to crossing the state line into Oklahoma. Lesson learned.

The place smells so filthy/sour ( I have been here 1 other time like 4 years ago and it smelled the same then and I remember now that when I left then I said I would be ok never eating there again, but did). The table cloths just looked like years worth of filth have saturated into them. Fries were undercooked, wasn't a fan of the tartar sauce. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because the waitress was prompt and nice and the corn dog my daughter ordered was decent enough to eat.Edited to add, whoever they purchase from doesn't remove the red part of the fish. Some filets decent, others disgusting. No hushpuppies offered with meal, wth? I just don't understand their overall rating of 4+ stars. Someone please explain it to me.

Came a lil late when the staff didn’t care bout nothin. One family n there eating and all the booths were full of crumbs and French fries. Food was great but nothin else was. Old ppl been tellin me this place was the best my whole life but the truth is they just old and don’t know much but the past.

Food is terrible. We had a party of 5, all 5 people did not like their food. Fries were undercooked, chicken livers were terrible, the onion rings were cold and tasteless, calf fries had a weird flavor. The only things the group enjoyed were the chicken tenders and hushpuppies. Waitresses were nice and we weren't charged for a couple of items, which was very nice, but the food was so gross that the service can't make up for it. Maybe im crazy, but a place called "the peach orchard" should have peach pie on the menu. They do not.

My husband and I called in an order of fish. Waited 35 minutes for our food. Got back home and the fish was way over cooked, hard as rock and no hush puppies. Disappointing. Will not return. The food use to be amazing. 2 stars for the tarter sauce, was great.

The best. Great food, great people and the best tartar sauce in the world. Yes they sell it by the gallon and it is best on a piece of white bread. Nothing better than a tartar sauce sandwich. For those who do not like the food please stay in town it will keep the crown size to a manageable size.

Good catfish house that's been around since 1948. Nothing wildly special, but it will hold its own against most catfish houses. Good portions, large fillets. One or two were a tad fishy, but nothing outside acceptable. Fries were average. Hush puppies were a tad bit gummy, but had a good flavor.

The service was excellent. Fast and friendly. The good stops there. The catfish tasted muddy. I’m a La girl, who is used to excellent fish. They left the fatty part on the filet, thus giving it the muddy flavor. Fries were handcut, but greasy. Everyone brags about the tater sauce. The flavor was good, but so much relish that you couldn’t dip your fish. Hush puppies were hot and fresh, but gummy. Coleslaw is not even on the menu and they don’t have sweet tea. This place was on our bucket list, but we won’t make the same mistake.

Not the Peach Order I remember. Have moved away and haven’t eaten there in a while. It was clean and wait staff was friendly. But that was definitely the worst fish I have ever eaten. Took a long time to get the food. Had to buy hush puppies separate. Then they didn’t take credit cards. I will definitely not be going back.

Waitress was decent, but had to get one of our refills ourself. I got the catfish it honestly was the worst fish I've ever had. It still had alot of silver on the fish and it gave a gamy fishy taste. It was over cooked and tasted as if the grease needed to be changed. I cook fish alot myself and know that this is a place I will never eat again. The hushpuppies were good. With that being said the people who eat fish here should travel just a short distance to Bill's Catfish if they want a great experience. And there you dont have to pay 3 extra dollars for hushpuppies they are free and unlimited there.

I love this place! Fair warning though, there is nothing with peaches on the menu. But what they do have is delicious. That along with down-to-earth people and a cool atmosphere make Doug’s Peach Orchard a great place to visit!
