They were quick to respond to my application and they made it so easy when I got to the shelter. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I got a dog from them; he came fixed and with updated shots. They gave me his medical records and a few toys to take home. All around great experience!

Good people, a little disorganized on big events, but they do excellent work. They have spay days and fix up pets for usually less than others. Do vaccine clinics and they have a nice space to sit and visit with potential pets and a kitty safe space for playing with them.

I love this facility and the staff is amazing. If you are looking to add a new member to your family go and talk with them, visit with the animals, decide the best type of animal(cat or dog) for your family and adopt. The staff will talk with you and help you with all your questions. They will help you have the best adoption experience possible.. this is my new baby..

The local Ponca City Humane Society is a great place if you are interested in saving a life and find that perfect addition to your family. The process is fairly simple with an application, which I am happy for, to ensure that these animals go to safe homes. I love that there are people in this community that truly want to help animals in need and have always had a pleasant experience with the dedicated employees that I have met. This is the only time you get to CHOOSE a family member and I will always go to them before I consider any other options. Whether you are looking for a cat or a dog make the right choice and you might just find your next best friend.

Shelters all say they want to rescue animals. But when contacted to shelter and animal, they are always full or won't take an animal. That's why I will be putting down a 10 month old Husky. I've got to wonder what good are these organizations? They don't seem to actually do any good!

They let me put my dog here, while the winter storm came though. Had to get a hotel and they weren't pet friendly. They were great with him. Very friendly staff, nice and clean inside.

Please adopt a rescue, shelters are overcrowded and rescues have their hands full trying to find the perfect home for a lost or unwanted pet. They are all looking for more foster homes for temporary housing and they cover your cost. Please help!!! Poor animals are being euthanized in other states because shelters are full. They have nowhere to go, so please open your hearts and wallets and give a fur baby a chance at a good life, or donate to help them survive! Give a fur baby a home for the holidays...Happy Holidays to you all!

They found the perfect fit for my family, a 2 year old Chihuahua. They have taken care of her vet bills and gave me food for her. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I recommend them to anyone looking for a pet.

Worse humane society to deal with. We adopted a dog from there. Would not allow us to pet test along with swearing the dog was pet friendly. Now we have a aggressive dog that doesn’t want to learn because they just left her in a cage the entire time and doesn’t want to drop old habits.. sweet dog when she’s not around others. Would not recommend going here and if they don’t allow you to pet test I’d go somewhere else since you can’t trust them. Absolutely the worst!!!

Absolutely terrible service experience. My wife and I found a stray cat who was injured. We called the humane society multiple times during their posted open hours. They never answered, so we drove there and knocked on the door. The young worker who opened the door seemed irritated that we were visiting the building during their scheduled hours. We explained the situation, and she brusquely told us they couldn’t help. I asked what we should do with the sick cat who needed help. The worker told us to figure it out ourselves and closed the door on us.

Better to start at PC Animal Control. They are friendly, you get a room to meet the dog and the adoption fee takes care of chip, spay neuter and shots and maybe more. Drop in and go home with your new dog the same day and save a life. The humane society claims to get dogs into quickest and best available home yet 1 puppy I wanted to see two weeks ago was spoken for, is still there and is still spoken for. Another puppy in the same litter that I was allowed to see during my scheduled meet n greet was too distracted by the environment for me to get to know him. When I dropped in, after he was posted again, trying to get on the list to see him again I was accused of trying to do a drop in meet n greet, and I was blamed for him not getting a home the week I saw him and didn't go home with him. Based on the way they do things, he had no applicants when I saw him, not even me, so how does my meeting him put off others? Crazy. The lady's voice was raised the whole time I was in there. I said several times she wasn't hearing my questions. I don't think she ever did understand. She went on to accuse me of expecting to be put ahead of earlier applicants just because my application was already approved 2 weeks ago. I said nothing of the sort. I was just trying to figure out how I'm supposed to be able to quickly get in line to see a dog without "applying" again, which is the only process available online. According to what she said: I was the only person to see Saint 2 weeks ago and nobody has seen him since, and knowing I didn't even apply to see him, (nobody had so far that day 2 weeks ago)... something about their process isn't working. Saint and his sibling are puppies. They shouldn't be sitting around for weeks, not being seen at all by any applicants. BTW I couldn't see Saint again on Friday because the "1st available applicant" was to see him the following Wednesday. I asked if I could do a walk through and she said to come back in 45 min. Saint and sibling were in pens on outside so I pointed them out to my sister on the way to the car. That lady flew out the building and yelled at us to not look at the dogs. It makes them bark. I assure you, when I walked through on the inside 2 weeks ago, it made them bark. She and their whole process is just too controlling and IMHO that is not good for getting the dogs placed quickly. That same Friday I got a wonderful older pupper from the animal shelter.

Thank you for all that you do! You not only provide wonderful care for so many animals, you provide a great service for the people you match your dogs with. My dog that I recently adopted from you is such a blessing to me, and to the elderly I care for, he provides them such happiness! His name was Nugget, but is now named Chewy Diggers. He is sitting by the door everyday waiting to go to "work". Thank you so much!

WOW! You girls truly are a blessing! What an amazing job you are doing caring for these animals! I'm so grateful that our area has an organization like this and people like you all. I never realized until I visited your animal shelter, what an enormous amount of work and care goes into taking care of all our neglected and abused animals! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for ALL you do!

I adopted my cat from this location two years ago. My experience was friendly and informative. Sushi is the most loving cat I've ever had in my life. She's super afectionate, although when I first brought her home she was very skittish!I'd adopt from here again. They work with you and offer patience with any questions you may have. This is a charitable organization, not just a business, and they will show you the respect you ask for so long as you respect their rules.

These people are amazing. They aren't just no kill but will also go to great lengths to save the life of the animals and find them forever homes. They get them groomed and taken to vets. They even take mated pairs of dogs and do everything they can to get them homed together. They even have a lady who will drive animals at least as far away as Minnesota. I just can't believe how wonderful these people are. Thank God for them. If everyone was like them we would all be living in a perfect world!

There were three puppies we adopted from them. Not all at once lol. They were healthy and well treated as we could tell by their demeanour and vet check. I appropriated how they took extra steps to try to make sure that we were a compatible fit so there wouldn't be any major issues with bringing the new family member home.

Their cats in that room seem like they don't have any human interaction.Their dogs seem very vicious. I've never seen a boxer growel and show teeth till I went there.Even their puppies bit me (not play biting)I think they should do something different..

These people are monster's! Ya they do alot of good for most however in my case they completely ruined my family! I had got arrested and was in Jail because of unpaid fines. And when I was arrested i had my Yorky Pomeranian with me. Well he went everywhere with me he is my baby I have had him from the moment he was born and three days before I get out of jail the Humane society adopted him to a family in Minnesota. They refused to let anyone in my family get him instead they chage him name tell me when i asked for information about my baby that (yes we did this ...its what we do) so if what they do is tear people who love there animals like they would there children apart from each other.....well thats pretty messed up!!!!! Just saying
