Huge sporting goods store. I mean, cavernous. You will find everything under the sun here. From typical items, like baseball and football, to darts and ping pong and archery and ammo and weapons. Plenty of employees all over the place, all friendly. All the clothing is piled up in unbelievably neat fashion, with large selections. All aisles are perfectly merchandised and neat and fully stocked. Wide. Spotless aisles. Bathrooms. Huge parking area out front. Nice place.

I recently purchased a women's bicycle from this Academy. Their selection was better than Wal-Mart and their prices were comparable, if not better. The store had very few shoppers, and plenty of employees available for assistance. I've been in this particular store 3x, and I recommend coming here for sporting goods before trying Wal-Mart.

I’ve been here a few times and I have seen Brandon, a “manager” talk down and belittle his employees almost every time I’m in this store. I think it’s very wrong, he doesn’t seem to care who’s around, customers, other employees, even children. It makes me really uncomfortable and I can only imagine how it made the employee feel.

My mom and I went in to purchase a gun safe. From start to finish everybody was rude. Not only did they bring out a returned, used one to try to sell us they then got rude when we wanted to check the packaging of the only one left which was the display one. Then as we ask them to be careful loading into truck as it’s new truck we got eye rolls and laughing and then they dropped the dolly on her truck and scuffed it. They didn’t apologize either! Poor customer service!

My son and I decided to look at the different handguns and rifles that they had to offer. The salesman who helped us was very knowledgeable about all four of the models that we were interested in. We have been to Academy several times and made purchases and they have always been helpful and knowledgeable about their products.

Everyone, well almost everyone, was a delite and very welcoming when came to pick up my order. I had no trouble at all picking up my online order in store. Everything was in order and very organized! It was very good! I really like this place and it's very useful for outdoorsy people like us. It's even useful for non-outdoorsy people just not as much. The only bad thing is that their prices are very high. But we get clothes, camping stuff, backpacking stuff, gymnastics stuff, workout stuff... Etc. There so it's very nice.

They have exercise equipment, punching bags, elliptical machines, and best of all: roller skates and boxing gloves. They got allota fancy guns and scopes too! The Representative was helpful. He explained how criminals manufacture fake guns to frame people fir crimes. Which is the reason it makes since that you can Not photograph the firearms in Academy Sports. Thanks guys for the lesson. Keep up the great work!

I went in for a trampoline and I didn't realize just how heavy they were. Employees were very helpful and even helped me load it up in my pickup. Very respectful and considerate. The place was very clean and the restroom was very clean. I was impressed with everything.

Went there to return two t-shirts, just a simple exchange. The lady at the return desk was rude and had no care if the customer was pleased. She looked up the shirts that I wanted to exchange, with no receipt, and said the shirts were 9 dollars. 2 weeks ago bought the shirts for 25 each. Did not care and said that I owed 19 each for the new shirts, when the price tag was for 9 dollars. I told her there was no way I will pay more for shirts that I already bought for 25 each and add an additional 19. She handed the shirts to me and walked away. I said thanks for the great customer service. I will not be going back to this store again.

I've been going to Academy since I was a teen living in Houston. Love this store. Always clean and organized. Prices and selection for shoes are the best in town. Great selection for anything outdoors too. So glad they built a store in the town I now live.

We went there to buy a smoker and a grill. Just so happened the manager waited on us, he was a delightful person and helpful. He went got our merchandise loaded it and loaded it in our vehicle. This was on the 4th of July. Would recommend this location.

Love that this business finally came to town. Great variety and good sales when they have them. Staff isn't much help especially the firearms department and they can be pricey but they offer a lot that others in town have been lacking in for outdoor equipment.

They say they have the best prices in town. I was looking for a 1 lb propane tank for a portable stove and the price was $12. Not too far away at Walmart they had each tank for $4 or two for $7.

Local store, Enid OK, did not have item in stock though their website said they did. So I made a trip from 30 miles away for nothing. Store associate said he could have item shipped from a stop less than a hundred miles away but it would take ten days to get it. Ten days, are you kidding me? Got item from Amazon in less than three days. Academy scores a big zero.
