A1 Savannahs is awesome! The owners are the best caring cat breeders that I have ever met. I bought a kitten from them about two years ago and I am very happy that they shared their family with my family. I was concerned that the Savannah would not fit in well with my three Bengals, but he fit in just fine. I will truly miss checking in on the kittens they have for sale now, I hope them well in their future.

We have just picked up our second A1 Savannah kitten. One on the best cats we have ever owned. Visited the Cattery and was extremely impressed with the cleanliness of facilities, treatment of cats and the variety being cared for. Martin and Amanda are truly committed to these animals and know the bread, habits, and behavior of this unique breed. Do not hesitate to look at these cats, they are full of energy, happiness, and will challenge you! Thanks again to Martin and Amanda!

This cat is the most trusting kitty I have ever seen. She just sprawls out with no worries in the world. She is happy and healthy. She is the most loving buddy ever. She sleeps with us and we wake up and she is cleaning our arms. She is amazing. I can tell she had a good upbringing. A1 Savannahs are the best breeders I have seen. Her comfort was definitely established with the breeder. She is amazing and so loving. She trusts us so much and I attribute that to Martin and his team. It is so awesome. She is so healthy and happy.

I have nothing but great things to say about A1Savannahs. Martin and Amanda were very professional and answered all my questions promptly. They kept me fully informed from the time I selected my two kittens, through their vet visits, and as they were sent to me. The kittens arrived scared -- having just flown across the country -- but very healthy-looking, and they settled into my home very quickly. They've been with me for 16 months now, have continued to be healthy and happy, and are the friendliest and most loving cats imaginable. Thank you, A1!

Had awesome experience with Mylo the Savannah on the road trip from Oklahoma to Michigan. He was very shy for the first couple hours. After two hours he want to be play and be have his belly rubbed. He was only trouble near the end of the road when we arrived in Michigan. After being a half day at the house he definitely is getting more comfortable. He was a good choose for me and him. Thank you to the Savannah family for the great blessing. Appreciate all the hard work you put in for the cats.

Great folks with the most pure bred Savannah babies available. We have been a customer of A1 for several years now and are the happy parents of three of their girls. An SBT 6, an F 5, and an F 3 all of which have perfect temperaments but maintain enough of the serval instinct to keep you entertained for hours just watching them play. If your looking for the best in breed you need not look any further.

We purchased a F3 a few months ago from A1 Savannahs. The experience was absolutely amazing. Luckily they are located just a few hours away, so my wife and I were excited to see the different cats available in person. We were concerned about purchasing an exotic breed like this, but the owners went really above and beyond to make it a smooth transaction and transition. I highly recommend the these people. This is mine and my boyfriend's first Savannah cat and we couldn't be more excited or thrilled to add our kitten to our little furry village. I can't thank Martin enough for all of his help throughout this process. I hope maybe one day my boyfriend and I will get a second kitten from them. I would not recommend buying a cat from A1 Savannahs, my review is based on a poor customer experience that I felt obligated to make other consumers aware of.First off, some background. A1 Savannahs bills themselves as the original founder of the Savannah cat breed, which is true. However the original owners have sold the company multiple times, and the newest owners, Martin and Amanda Engster, are not "the original founders", nor are they experienced cat breeders in my opinion. There is also some unsavory information regarding large cat trophy hunting looming on the internet that can be easily found via a google search. This information may influence your buying decision.Second, our poor experience. We signed a contract for an F3 male cat, and received a sick kitten who was infected with Feline Herpes. The cat was sneezing, wheezing, and coughing when we received him. We agreed to return the cat to the Engster's in hope that we could obtain a partial refund. In order to return the cat, we had to have our vet sign a certificate of health for him to fly - which our vet wouldn't do, because he was sick. We did not test for feline herpes, as this is very difficult to test for. Regardless, the cat was clearly sick.We have another cat in our household, who does not have feline herpes and we did not want to risk infection. Therefore, we found a home for the new kitten from A1. This was an extremely favorable outcome for all parties involved because a) the cat did not have to travel again and deal with that stress b) the Engster's would not have to re-list and resell the cat c) our incumbent cat was exposed to less risk and finally d) the new owners are happy with the kitten and have dealt with feline herpes with past pets.Seeing as how we did a huge favor for the Engster's, and they had originally agreed to act outside of the contract, we asked for a partial refund after the kitten was re-homed. Since then, they have heavily leaned into contract terms and refuse to refund us any portion of the sale. We feel that this is unfair, and other consumers should be made aware of their business practices and consider purchasing a Savannah elsewhere from a more reputable cattery. Also, if our cat has feline herpes, that means their entire colony is infected with the virus.I am sure Martin is going to respond to to this review, line by line, with contract language. The fact remains that we received a sick kitten, we took it upon ourselves to re-home him, everyone wins - except us who financed and brokered the deal.One last point that I feel is important to note. When we received the kitten, it was clear he was very unsocialized, not used to human contact. He had a wild, almost feral temperament that is unlike any other kitten I have experienced (and we have an F2 at home). Finally, in my opinion, some of their queens and studs do not look like true lower generation Savannah's that they claim. There is a lot of fraud in the exotic cat breeding business, earlier generations fetch higher prices, and I would venture to bet that some if not all of the A1 colony aren't the generations for which they are billed.

I got my F6SBT A1savannah Baby, they have the best cats that are extremely well socialized. Very loving cats that had a loving environment to start out their life. Their cats have AWESOME temperaments. Its rare to find a breeder like A1savannahs that worry more about the health and happiness than their profit margin. They are always willing to help in any way that they can, rather it a question on the phone or something more urgent, they will stick by you. I have NEVER been more happy with my A1 baby and I have NO REGRETS choosing A1Savannah and you will not either. If you don't have an A1baby, you are missing out on great cats that are just as healthy as they are happy. Do to the brilliant socialization these cats are exposed to integrating her into our family was easy as cake. Less than a month after I got Ramey she became fast friends with my 2 year old cat and 11 year old pug. Ramey is gentle, loving and not aggressive at all. The cats and the Owners of A1 are AWESOME and I am glad I got an A1 Baby. They go above and beyond for both their cats and new fur parents.
