I called Maysville Animal Hospital in zanesville because a stray cat that hangs around my house,( that was born with a herniated belly button) actually ruptured he needs emergency medical treatmentASAP , This animal HOSPITAL told me on a Monday morning at 930 am that they don’t have an emergency team. Like, at all. Not later , not tomorrow, not at all. But the website says they offer many surgeries and treatmentsI was told to find someone elseJust thought I’d let people know what kind of people they are trusting to care for their animalsBecause if that’s not cold and heartless then I don’t know what is

Dr Smith is a very knowledgeable Vet. She seems to sincerely care about your pet as if they were her own. With pets that needs to be euthanize. She gives you private time to say goodbye. Mary is wonderful. The staff is also very caring. The office is spotless.

My dog hurt herself while going to the bathroom and our vet was closed so we went here. Even though it's an hour away from coshocton it was worth the drive. They took care of my dog and now shes okay. The photos are when we left the hospital

My 16 year old Maltese had a stroke and was suffering. We needed to put our baby boy down asap. So heart broken. But they told us they couldn't get to us for at least two weeks! We called our other fur baby's vet and she took him in right away. Maysville Animal told me to take hom to Columbus! That was not very professional if you ask me! I will never go back there!

Dr. Mary Smith has provided excellent care for 3 dogs and 2 cats over the past 7 years. Mary's knowledge, professionalism and commitment to the care of animals is excellent. Recently we had to euthanize our family dog of 14 years and Dr. Mary wept along side us while she administered the drug. She continues to exceed our expectations and we're so thankful for her care.

Id give them no stars if i could! Don't take your pets here! I made an appointment over 2 months ago and they canceled my appointment the day before! I called in that Monday to find out what time my appointment was for that Friday and to confirm my appointment. So since i didn't re call back in the day before i lost my appointment. I have been at work almost all day the hours i was allotted to call in to confirm. They will never get my business and i will forever tell everyone to never take there pets here because there policies suck and are not for the working people.

Mary has been my dogs vet since she was a pup. She had been in failing health and over the weekend took a turn for the worst and was suffering. I made the hard decision to have her euthanized. When I called they told me I needed to wait 9 days for an appointment. Called around and finally found a vet out of Zanesville to help out. This isn't the first time they haven't been able to help.

Never have I ever went anywhere to another vet. Mary is the best I could ask for! A vet who definitely knows how to joke, but Is professional. She is blunt where it needs to be. Definitely reasonable priced and she will work with you on your payments! I'm so grateful to have a vet who sincerely cares about my pet(s) and concerns.

I thought the workers were unprofessional. We didn't get seen till 30 min after our scheduled time. I get things happen n sometimes I have to wait. BUT we stood n waited with our cat on the table while they talked to a woman about her personal life. Our cat is very.sketchy so it was a pain in the butt to try n keep her from jumping off the table. I'll probably try another vet next time even tho the vet was super nice n helpful. But I was super irritated when I heard them talkin to a lady about her dating life for 30 min.

Mary just called my mother who has gone there for years and ask her why she didn’t come to her appointment.And that someone else could’ve took that spot. Well Mary from 10-1130 wasn’t a set appointment and we were told to call in !However Mary didn’t think twice about canceling our so called appointment last week on Sat when we were to be there between 10-1130. My mother isn’t feeling well and forgot about this appointment! The last thing she needed today was to be scolded like a two year old! She lost a loyal customer today!

Horrible vet. Our family had been customers of her father Doc for 3 generations—that man was best vet that ever lived. Unfortunately his daughter now can’t fill his shoes or even be somewhat as good. She is a despicable person who treats people bad, a bully. We took our sick dog there and not once did she provide help, she criticized the breeder. Tried to put blame on us for buying our dog..too late- and vets are not paid to scold people on purchasing dogs.:she is to do her job and help make animals feel better! Oh We got answers and care —from our groomer! The actually disease our dog had was given to us at our groomer for $40 hair cut and excellent care! This vet is a bully and even talks to kids in rude manner. She made my daughter cry when she blamed her for not taking the dog to get surgery. How would we know what is wrong or if it could be fixed there when this vet office don’t answer phones, and literally doesn’t provide any real services like xrays or anything when sick dogs come in. This vet has no clue how to even communicate in a respectful way..nor how to provide appropriate care to pets. Her dad would be ashamed of the way she treats hiS customers. She has no business being around people or animals they way she acts. I found a new vet and will never go back...she just didn’t lose one customer.:she lost a whole family of loyal customers who will never take their animals into her office again. Hopefully one day she will learn how to treat people like her father and her brother does. It’s a shame because her father and her brother both treat people well and with respect...but yet she thinks everyone is beneath her. She needs to remember she is not above anyone, and quit talking the way she does . Just a nasty personality so beware to be treated bad if you go there- it’s not worth it. Other places may be few dollars more- but it’s worth it to be treated with respect and get the help for your pet that you need

I had to go from Crooksville to Cambridge 10/14/22. to have my very sick cat to be put down because you don't care to help me. Your not the only place that don't care. I called your place on 9/29/22 to be told no. That's wrong.. Cambridge office couldn't believe any business in close to me would not help me.. thats sad. I've trusted Mary with my cats for as long as she's been a vet. We've always been able to come to a conclusion of treatment and the treatment has always worked and fees are reasonable. I like her no nonsense attitude

Incredibly rude. Hung up the phone on me. I called to ask a simple question. Zero compassion for animals. Zero knowledge of dog breeds. Terrible, terrible service. The doctor acts like she's smarter than you, talks to you like you're stupid. Very disrespectful. I've been there a few times, but I will definitely never be back. Seens like you only get good service if you know them personally...

Dr. Mary and the Maysville Animal Hospital deserves less than 1 star if that was an option. Dr. Mary is the rudest least helpful person I have ever had the displeasure of speaking with. When they tell you to call with any questions they don't really mean it. I had to call with questions since I am a new puppy owner, and each time I called I was treated horribly over the phone. I would NEVER EVER recommend this vet ...

Terrible vet. Took my cat to maysville animal hospital to get her spayed. She was sick so i asked the vet to take a look at her when i dropped her off for her appointment. The vet refused check what i asked her to check. And went ahead with the spay knowing she was sick and now my cat is dead a week later. I will never take another animal to this place.

I understand there is a pandemic going on in the world right now, which is exactly what the (2) ladies at the desk sarcastically said to me after informing me that even if it's an emergency and your a client and your pet may have to be put down you must have an appointment! I thought they took walk ins in the evening. They were not at all understanding and were rude. I brought my cat home to keep him comfortable because I had no other choiceThey gave me the number for a clinic in Buckey Lake but unfortunately I dont drive so that was not an option for me. My cat was a client and received NO help.

I will never take my pets here EVER! we took my dog there and begged the lady to please put our Ollie out of his misery he was foaming at the mouth and he couldn't walk or do anything we gave her our drivers license and card we begged her to put him down and we got paid the next day and to take our card and drivers licenses just put him down her response was "I'm trying to run a business here" we got paid the next day! Our Ollie had to suffer because of that woman's selfishness! Cares about her patients i think not! Not to mention the fact she treated my mother like dirt in front of all the customers in the waiting room like she was dirt at the bottom of her shoe!

Went one time, that was enough to know I wouldn’t be going back. Mary insisted to call if we had any questions, but when we called she was VERY short and rude and instead of trying to help she kept accusing us of questioning what she was saying. Went down the street to animal crackers instead and they were AMAZING and answered ALL the questions we had. Our new little puppies had worms and was only $5 for a 3 week treatment, versus Mary’s mandatory $40 stole sample check plus the charge for the dewormer. Would not recommend to anyone. It’s like she didn’t ever care about our new little pups!
