Great place for families, homeschool, or school outings. The food is good but the ice cream is better. I had the single, double buckeye. Had I realized it was only a dollar cheaper than the double, I would have gotten the double. It was delicious 😋. My daughter and I went there after hiking at John Bryan State Park. I got some sort of chicken sandwich with fries. It was just OK. My daughter got chicken strips and fries. Her chicken was better than the chicken on my sandwich. Ultimately, the ice cream was my favorite!

I visited Young's Dairy Farm for ice cream and tried their creamy Chocolate Peanut Butter, Cow Patty, double chocolate fudge flavors served in freshly made waffle bowls. The Chocolate Peanut Butter was a classic delight, combining rich chocolate with peanut butter. The Cow Patty flavor surprised me with its chocolaty goodness. What made the experience even better was the petting place for cows and goats, adding to the farm-fresh ambiance. Highly recommend these flavorful treats for a delicious and fun visit!

This place is essentially an agritourism destination. We were there for lunch alone and so didn’t explore elsewhere. The paved parking lot is huge. The cafeteria is massive, too, with factory functions that can be observed, a queue area to buy meals and ice cream to enjoy at seats nearby, and a shop with decorative items, cheese, tub ice cream, and sweets like pie.Upon ordering food, we were given a disc to alert us when our order was done. It took about 15 minutes for our lunch to be ready. First of all, the cheese curds were good quality with a seasoned breading that was quite light; my sister-In-law, who is a local, was dismayed that they were not as good as she remembered. They ordered buffalo curds that just had something like Frank’s Red Hot squirted over the top, and the texture wasn’t good. As someone who has eaten many cheese curds, I thought mine were okay, mid-range.I had a chicken salad croissant with an added side salad. My sandwich wasn't appetizing in appearance, as you can see in my picture. The cheese slice looked like it had been sitting out for quite a while but it tasted fine, which was good, because the overall salad was surprisingly bland. My side salad was a spring mix that included several leaves that were blackening with rot; one tiny glob is visible in my picture. I had to pick those out. My husband had a burger and fries, which he thought was fine. My nephews had ice cream and really loved it, so I am thinking this may be a place to come for that rather than the main meal. I did buy two blocks of their more aged cheddars and a pack of buckeyes (a regional dessert with peanut butter and chocolate) to enjoy later.

We stopped here because of geocaching, so happy we learned of the place. Although very off season timing it was a great visit, always a good time to enjoy animals. Probably the best cheese curds from a restaurant I’ve ever had. Of course had to get some fresh milk and it was so good! Planning our return trip to check out the carousel when it’s put in this summer.

This is definitely a mid-west experience you don't want to miss, it's massive, large parking lot, petting zoo, long line to order but it moves fast because they know what they are doing. It's great to go for some hikes around Jon Bryan State Park and then get some dinner and ice cream. The ice cream is mandatory don't miss out. Plenty of tables to even on the busiest day I've been you can typically find a seat even for a large group.

I spent about 20 minutes looking around inside at the cheese for sale that sounded awesome and at the gift shop and outside in the barn. The goats were bahhing. It was cute. Petted a little cow. They have hand cleanser stations for after you pet the animals or let them eat feed from your palm. You can buy a little container of goat feed inside for $1.75 or outside by the goats they have 4 gumball type dispensers with feed ..a small handful for $.25.

This is a perfect place if you are trying to find something for couple of hours depending on the crowd size. If it is just one family then the options you have is farm, petting/feeding animals, walking around to take pictures, maybe games depending on your interest and end up with a good treat...they have great ice cream collections and wide menu. I loved their fried cheese curds..peaches and cream was my favorite along with white cream with chocolate and Raspberry. I get to try their garlic and dill flavor (yes ice cream), for me it tasted like frozen garlic butter. If you are visiting this with few families then you can spend 4+ hours including all fun games....would recommend this place.

They expanded the parking lot to make it easier to park and walk in safely. I think it's safer than it was. It's definitely wheelchair accessible but don't use the ramp into the barn it's too steep in my opinion. I just petted the goats and they were sweet. We only went for the ice cream. It's really high quality ice cream. It's not gonna be like getting a half gallon from Kroger. The place is kept clean. The staff is helpful if you aren't sure if you will like a flavor they will give you a tester spoon. I was able to ask about ingredients for the flavor I wanted. If you need Gluten Free they will make sure to use a fresh scooper. They have a ice cream making station to watch how it's made but I'm not sure what day it's operational. I look forward to seeing it in action.

Such an awesome place for family fun! We had lunch and their homemade ice cream and both were amazing! I love all the activities they have to offer. We went to their petting zoo, played miniature golf, and went on their giant slide. It was a great place to spend our Saturday together!

What a cool place and the treats were delicious but the line was long and the time we had to wait to get ice cream felt like I was at a Michelin star restaurant. (They only had 2 people at the registers)Lots of fun things for the kids to do.

What a fun place! We got there early so there really wasn't a big crowd. They have a great selection of ice cream flavors, fresh cheese curds and some baked goods. There are a lot of activities that are family friendly, from wagon rides, corn maze and feeding goats. Overall a fun place! They also have a driving range as well (I didn't check it out but it definitely seemed to be a popular spot). There is plenty of parking, clean restrooms, and plenty of seating for everyone. It appears that they do have different events happening in the weekend.

We used to go to Young's every New Year's Eve, as it is my wife's birthday. We would stop to eat, and usually a great steak and all the extras! We Really looked forward to it every year. But we stopped going for a few years, as it's over an hours drive for us. We were in the area, so we stopped in. The dining room is no longer there, ( a covid casualty). Now it's just sandwiches and stuff like that, but still has pretty good ice cream. They are really geared to the family, they have batting cages, putt putt golf, and will open a carousel in July. We were ok with the food, but really disappointed that we couldn't get dinner.Kid-friendliness: Putt putt golf, batting cages, and will open a carousel this summer.

I live in Canada, and visited Young’s Jersey Dairy while visiting family in Dayton, OH. We had a wonderful time at Young’s! It was interesting to walk through the barn, and to see the herd of Jersey cows around the silo. The ice cream was delicious! My Aunt enjoyed her black raspberry ice cream in a dish. I really, really enjoyed my Double Chocolate Brownie sundae. And, my cousin raved about the Sweet Potato sundae. I highly recommend Young’s Jersey Dairy for a pleasant afternoon outing.

Dear Cows,We see you. We care. We’re sorry. We’re trying. We're not supporting businesses that exploit animals.#DitchDairy#EndSpeciesism#AnimalLiberation#AnimalExploitation#CognitiveDissonance#VoiceForTheVoiceless"June 2017, my team at work all went to Young's Dairy for some team building activities; lunch (I had a black bean burger and steamed green beans), and miniature golf. After we finished golf, a co-worker asked if we could wander to the barn and see the "babies." I didn't really think anything of it at the time. My vegan journey started and was focused on the health aspects of plant based nutrition. While walking in the barn, I happened to turn around and saw the line of dairy cows, chained and looking extremely uncomfortable, barely any space to move around. I happened to see one looking at me. As I looked into her eyes, I began to cry. I felt so much empathy for her. Knowing what her life will be, the forced artificial insemination, the babies she will lose (male calves may be sold for veal and females put into the same fate as her), the loneliness that she may feel just lying there, chained to a rail with the sole purpose of being exploited for humans to drink her milk thinking it's normal, natural, and necessary. I believe that was that moment I became an ethical vegan. This connection that I made is the reason that I eventually became an activist.Shortly after I attended this event, I met a passionate activist as well as other vegans in my community. The universe aligned the situation. I became an activist to show others to know the unfortunate reality of these animals' lives and to show that there is a way to live a compassionate life. In the end, no matter how "humane" the life...there isn't a humane way to kill someone. There are so many alternatives out there, and many more products are coming out all the time. We're not "cavemen" anymore and can thrive on a plant based diet without harming other sentient beings. There are so many plant sources available that you don't need to eat flesh to be healthy. Vote with your dollar, and if you keep it cruelty free...your conscious will pay you back with peace." ~ Amanda Delzeith aka Gem City VeganPhoto Credit: Amanda Delzeith, The Vegan Sheepdog, Life Veganized, World of Vegan, Anti Eat Meat Club, Vegan Outreach, Carnism Debunked, VegainsMeme, Eden Farmed Animal Sanctuary, Million Dollar Vegan, Vengeful Vegan, Poore & Nemeck, and Pilupepper x Dominion.

This is a place, everyone should visit. Yes, a very profound statement for an Ohio rare gem. In operation since 1869 creating and serving some of the best dairy products Ohio has to offer.Young's has a very nice restaurant and gift shop. The food is very good....but the sweet treats is where it's at. They have a playground and an area where you can visit the livestock. They also have a neat area to watch it all be made. An overall fun experience for all ages.I like to visit Glen Helen Nature Preserve and/or Glen Helen Raptor Center and finish my day at Young's. Just sharing one of my favorite combos♡♡♡

A FAMILY FUNDAY ...Young's Jersey Dairy is uplifting! The 40 Jersey cows will be utterly grateful you stopped in the Barn Viewing Area. They eat st 3:30p and milking is at 4:30p. Each cow knows which stall is hers! But, wait! Order a nice lunch for less than $8.00. A combo of Turkey Swiss & Bacon, plus those Fair Fries - soft or crispy...and a medium drink!Linda selected the Chicken Salad sandwich. Just, choose a table foras long as you want! Your order is prepared by the friendly Staff. When ready, your Pager does a dance!Placing our order is JOY. She is so very helpful in assisting - and did i say PATIENT? Yes, indeed. Joy has been on Staff over 20 years. Please leave Joy a generous tip for being "in the know - all things food!"Then, take the "uber" tractor for a trip around the Southern Side of the Farm. I hope you get to meet Pam, our Operator. Please consider a $5 or $6 tip for her safe driving and congeniality. Now, it's time to pet the Does and Goats. They are so much fun to watch. I interviewed two of them with a couple short questions ...Sit on one of the green tractors and have your picture taken; a sure way to have a canvas print. It's almost time for a milkshake or ice cream in a cone or a cup.You will not find ice cream this delicious. (I pardoned myself from being Type II diabetic)They have manly Shakes will names starting with "Bull". The one flavor i selected was a heaping cup of "COW PADDY" lol...Chocolate everything; including chocolate chips and perhaps even cookie dough. Wonerful, wonerfullI hear if you play miniature golf, there exists a discount on a Sundae with a buckeye sitting on top.The Corn Maize is probably "amazing". I didn't want to be the one to holler "help: I'm lost!"There is even a movie theater inside the Ranch House.More is COMING NEXT YEAR!So, git on out there, Buckaroo!Do it for the Pumpkins. And, all 6,000 Christmas Trees (love the Blue Spruce) will be awaiting - fresh; never cut until you pick the one you like. Growing 2 feet per year, they have been grooming your visit for 3 or 4 years.DOWN ON THE FARM- Keith CareyPsalm 34, 51, and 103

This place is awesome. My Mom takes me there every time I visit. If you are in the Xenia or Springfield area this is a must see. They have the best homemade ice cream, and they also have burgers and other menu items. Everything I have tried has been excellent. They also have ice cream and lots of homemade cheeses to go, along with a gift shop area. I loved the apple wood smoked cheddar and the cracked pepper cheddar. There is a barn that you can walk through and see goats, cows, and pigs. Many of them were pregnant the last time I visited. There is feed you can purchase for the goats, and they will be waiting for it They also have putt putt golf and a driving range. There is a banquet hall for private parties.

Have never experienced a dairy which is functioning at such a large scale. An hour drive from Cincinnati it is perfect for a summer weekend. The ice cream here is so rich and creamy and is a must have They also have different sandwiches and burgers on their menu. You can also feed animals in their petting area. Expect the lines to be huge but the waiting time runs around 20-25 mins.

This place is phenomenal!! We came for mini putt (udders and putters, are you kidding me?! Genius!) and stayed for baby goats, baby cows, kittens and delicious food. There's an app to pre-order your food and then you head over and pick it up to skip the line, absolutely a time saver. 10/10 would recommend, the 17th hole of mini putt is about the appropriate timing to order, finish your game, meander over, and then everything is ready. We had zero children with us and had an incredible time as adults, definitely a kid-friendly place, but tons of activities for those of us young at heart as well.
