Enjoyed time traveling back to an old time in this little restaurant. Awesome old artifacts from what the restaurant was before it was a restaurant. Had an awesome root beer float with a hot dog and fried pickle spears. My mom go a Texas grilled cheese. Hot dog bread was stale and the fried pickles were awesome, they’re spears instead of small cuts. I was obsessed with those couldn’t stop eating them. Mom said they put too much chipotle sauce on the grilled cheese. Hot dog had a little too much mustard but you can always ask for a replacement. Would definitely still come back to this place to try more dishes!

A decent place for a quick bite. The food is ok but not what I would say is great. Had a Cod sandwich that was basically a couple of fish sticks between two buns. The French Fries were very good.The atmosphere was nice, with fun and vintage decor to take in while waiting for the food to show up.The service and staff were so friendly and seemed to be happy with their work. Very on the ball with everything. 😉

Highly recommend this Sofa Grill, not only was the food delicious and the service was perfect, but it was so much fun to dine in and listen to old music (70s) and enjoy the memorabilia. The milkshakes are SO good! Honestly, an appetizer and the milkshake would have been enough, because the milkshake is so filling, but that’ll be for next time.Kid-friendliness: There is a kid’s menu and plenty options of milkshakes for kids

What an amazing place. This is truly Heaven by the lake. The nostalgia of all the classic items throughout the restaurant and the service was outstanding. Best service we have had in a long time. They are a 10/10. Don’t pass this place up. Because of the service we will be back and the food is the bonus. It was so delicious and filling. I can’t put it in words that are worthy enough for how good it was. Don’t walk but run here for multiple meals. I can’t wait to go back again. Love it!!!

What a fun little place to eat! My husband and I were passing by and he looked in and saw the old-fashioned soda bar, so we knew we had to pop in. We each got a chocolate shake and we also ordered onion rings and mozzarella sticks for a savory snack.Everything was delicious! The onion rings were perfectly fried and came with a delightful dipping sauce. The mozzarella sticks were melty and crispy and the milkshakes were soooo good. We were thrilled that we were given the remainder of our milkshakes from the blender mixing cups as well - we demolished alllll of that yummy chocolate shake goodness.

Wow this place has it All! We stumbled upon this gem of an eatery on 4th of July while we were out on the bike. Stopped in vermilion to check out the water and sites and spotted this place right away. The ambiance was amazing a soda shop with tons of memorabilia. Everyone employed here was smiling, nice, and attentive. Even the young man washing the dishes greeted us when we walked in Kendall was our server and she was amazing! She was sweet and had an infectious smile. We ordered burgers and fries and I can't go on enough about how good they were. And hot! I don't think I've had food come out so quickly and be that hot. I also had a chocolate malt and it was delicious. The prices were very good under $30 B4 tip. This is definitely a must stop place if you visit Vermilion!.

Food was great. I got the Big Tex Burger & a side of mushrooms. Their milkshakes are so creamy(strawberry& chocolate is what I tried). Would've given 5 stars but I put in a to go order & they made it at the same time as my meal? Not sure how that made sense. Loved the music & the atmosphere!

I've been here several different times over many years. The food is always tasty comwas tasty, and it's a fun atmosphere. Today we stopped after a local soccer match and a visit to the beach. It seems the entire staff was under 20 years old, and I think most of them were still in high school. They did a fabulous job of being young professionals, and working as a team. We sat at the counter and I heard each person ask multiple times if another team mate needed any help. Everything was cleaned very quickly when people finished, and they said hello to welcome each person who came in. The guy working the Burger grill was was on point, and my Burger was perfectly medium well. If you're a local, you probably already know this. Great grill and soda shop . Dogs or burgers , 50's - 60's music pouring out of the juke box .In Vermillion ,Ohio . Friendly people , fabulous view of Lake Erie . Cool small sandy beach on the lake . A nice park to sit in and relax, or just watch the lake .A small town just for relaxing .But don't forget Big Ed's !!!!! The service is fast , the food is great . And the fountain drinks , all different kinds of them . Sundaes , you name it . From hot fudge , to banana splits , and everything in between . Not a bad one in the bunch .

Delicious food! Our server was Maritza, shes great ask for her!I got the peanut butter sweet pickle burger. (It's better than it sounds.)And I had my first chocolate malt. Omgosh! Delicious and so much of it too! I got two a glass and a cup half full. Yummy!

This place is pretty neat! A ton of antiques and other old items line the walls of the whole place. They serve a variety of burgers and hot dogs as well as milkshakes, malts, banana splits and floats. We ordered fried pickles as an appetizer. They were over breaded and the breading was mushy on the inside. We will probably not get those again. My wife ordered the shooner. (Chicago style hotdog). She said she loved it and should have ordered two. I had the Brutus, an all beef coney dog with cheese! It was delicious. We will definitely be back when we are in town. Prices are very reasonable as well!

Wonderful service and the food was outstanding. I had the mushroom Swiss burger on gluten free bread. The fries are not gluten free due to the fact that they are fried in the same frier as everything else. My hubby ordered the Big Grill w/o cheese. You must get a milkshake. I kinda drank most of his milkshake it was sooooo yummy. We will definately be back.
