It's always fun, clean and simple. I love farm stores as I live in the country. They have lots of homemade goods and the staff is friendly. It's also fairly easy to find what you're looking for and things you never knew you wanted.

I love this store!! I got our glider chairs, our firepit, and the web swing here for reasonable prices! We are delighted with our purchases! We go to Rural King at least once a week for different things!I can't forget about buying my granddaughter's bunny! His name is Butterscotch; she carried out of the store, all by herself.

Love this place, everywhere else for a car battery they want $150 plus and here I got the same battery size and cold crank Amp for $54.00, I bought many battery here and they last the same as the $150.00 battery does. High quality.

Great place to shop. I'm disabled and one sales associate Linda was folding up shirts and asked if I needed any help and I said yes and she helped me to pick out 4 women's flannel shirts. Very nice and polite lady. Wish all stores had a sales associate like her that help disabled people.

I think I would shop at this store mire often if the parking lot was not in such poor shape.Potholes everywhere,can't make out the parking lines.Dont really want a twisted ankle just to purchase a bag of dog food.

It's been a while since we shopped in here. However, we decided to shop here today. We did find what we were looking for- metal fence posts and flashlights 🔦 and batteries. The store was really stocked for the upcoming Black Friday and holiday shopping! And there was customer service and cashiers ready to assist!!

Went to buy an optic for a gun. Supposedly only FFL certified employees can go behind the counter which was wide open for anyone to walk behind. The only one in the store was being a backup to the store manager who was on lunch.The only signage was that the area was closed for an hour. No time frame...left and spent money elsewhere.

No sale signs up. Employees can't tell me about the ad. Have to bring it to the register to see what's on sale.I drove 35 minutes for an item they were holding this time. They sold it even though they said they would hold it. I will definitely never shop here again.

I go to RK just about every week. It has been a long time since I have been to this one in Van Wert. I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the store and restroom. The parking lot has a lot of huge potholes as well. Customer service was good which is why the 3 stars.

Need tools, best place for the best tools around. Automotive, farm equipment, and trailer supplies are always available. Amazing employees and great environment. Bit pricey but well worth it.

Long time shopper at our local Rural King. Normally I have no issues, Staff is always friendly, helpful. Just here recently they have been out of stock on a lot of things. From work wear to work clothes. I have had to drive to Fort Wayne to find clothes and or tools. Hopefully this changes, I will update my review if it does!

Love everything they carry. Always fun to walk around and see what's new that I must have but don't need. Only issue is the parking lot (even though they fixed the main walk areas) is unsafe. Almost flipped my cart many times and it always makes me mad and they bathrooms are yukky. Needs some cleaning and updating. Even if they are clean they are so old and dingy they just feel dirty.

Went to purchase a new mower we called and was told management would hold the mower through the weekend we arrived spoke to Dan (I believe that was his name) we were told that by the time we walked back up to the registers that he would meet us there we got to the front where we waited upwards of 10 minutes and finally I gave up and pulled the sku number off of the website we were then told that the serial number was needed for the warranty the nice girl at the register called back and nobody answered again waited forever finally someone went back and got the number for us we then headed out back and lo and behold we found where everyone was outback having a smoking party we then asked Dan? Why he didn't meet us at the register upfront before to which he quickly denied ever telling us that he then took an attitude with us while we loaded.It is clear van wert rural king prioritizes smoke breaks and small talk in the back over customer service and helping the front of house employees

Gotta love Rural King! This is a typical Rural king store. Clean, friendly staff, and above all well stocked with items that you'd be hard pressed to find elsewhere. I came for a lawn mower battery this time, and ended up with a great pair of work boots, and an air filter i needed for another project that was proving hard to find. I just can't say enough about Rural King. I wish there was one in every town! I visited this store with a family member that lives closeby, and I was impressed that the clerk behind the register knew my family by name. she was very friendly, and professional.

Applied for a permit to purchase when it was approved I drove 40 mi back to the store to buy the handgun and they sold it. I will not shop at rural King again.

I have been shopping at this Rural King location for a few years now, having become their faithful customer. As of this writing (Feb 2018), I continue to be impressed with continuous stock levels, variety of new products, general cleanliness of the store, and friendliness of the staff. Prices at this store are very competitive with other area stores.

This place has went down hill fast. Rude employees and management doesn't seem to care at all. This happened on more than one occasion. Also believe they are charging more the dog beds than in their ad. Watch the prices that is on thr item and what it rings up, found many that it rings up higher than their prices on the shelves. Called corporate and guess what no customer service dept, when I press zero for operator it rings busy. Hmmm
