I came in with an idea in my head of making a bookcase, they helped me with correct sizing of width and height.As my boys played with our measuring tape and I had to use shoe string to measure and mark with a black marker. They also cut whatever I needed for only $1!I have more to do the picture is the starting of putting shelves on :)Making for my husbands cars :)

1st time customer. Needed a scissor lift rental. Staff went above and beyond to assist and work with me. Needed a trailer, hitch, and wiring harness extension...all provided for. Needed additional days for rental and staff worked with me so I could finish my product. I was impressed with all of the rental equipment they have available. Will definitely be back. Great service at a fair price.

We love shopping locally if possible and Ace truely is the place lol. The customer service here in Van Wert County is top notch. These employees know there products and are well informed on them too. The prices are good and the quality is great. Definitely recommend shopping here.

Most importantly- as they're helping me, I NEVER feel dumb for asking the question in the first place-- each staff member at Ace is not only knowledgable but KIND. We love our local Ace Hardware.

Service Desk folks know their stuff... floor staff are always eager to help, and if you don't know what you need or where to find it, it's only a question away... it might cost little more here than what you find it for online, but you have real people to chat with with and a friendly face if you find that you need to return something. And if it happens to be on sale, it's usually better price than online.Come on in and give them a try, ill bet you'll be glad you did.

Yes, we all know Ace is somewhat more expensive, yet they seem to always have what you need.A less than lacking review is due to their customer service at the checkout.Too many times I have had to interrupt a person reading a book or doing homework. While I can appreciate the homework and multitasking, they should at least acknowledge the fact that you have been waiting for them. "Is that it?" is not a good way to start transaction, no thank you or interaction with the customer is no way to end it either. You walk away feeling like you were a burden to the associate, not a contribution to their paycheck. Been the same for 9 years.

Lee's Ace Hardware is a terrific alternative to Rural King, however I do prefer Rural Kings environment and community. I know firsthand that RK has an exceptional experience for customers bc I work there!

My husband was looking for a gift exchange gift for Christmas. He wanted a gift that would go along with grilling. Most stores don't carry items like that in the winter, but we knew ACE. would. He found just what he wanted. We also trust their good advice. The folks there are great people you can talk to. I go there, myself; and I don't consider myself a "Hardware Person". 5 stars with us.

This Ace has just about anything you will need for your home or project. They also have good rental fleet as well. The customer service is top notch. I did knock one star as their prices seem inflated on most items. But if you don't mind the price and like to shop local, Ace is the place!

Ace hardware is one of my last resorts when it comes to shopping for Hardware. Not only are they quite expensive.. The staff can be quite rude... Not usually with me.. But with women, quite frequently. My amazing fiancé has ran in there numerous times to grab something for me while I continue to work on a project; either at home or a friends.. On several occasions the staff were just downright rude and disrespectful towards her. I will NEVER send her in there again. One exact quote that still makes may blood pressure rise a bit. "Guys are always sending "women" in here for something they don't understand. They should just come in themselves and save everyone the hassle" All she did was ask for help finding an item.I thought Ace was the helpful place...?I've found myself driving to Menards in Celina instead of simply driving 2 miles to Van Wert Ace Hardware on multiple occasionsAt this point, even when it comes to buying supplies though my employer. This is the absolute last place that I will go.

Went to Aces and told them we needed to rent a lawn mower and our grass was really tall. Our lawn mower is down because I am waiting on a drive belt as this belt is 5 years old and getting too stretched out and slipping (as belts do over time, that is why they are replaceable). The guy tells us that put it on the lowest setting and it will handle it no problem. Well... start using this lawn mower and about 15 to 20 minutes into using it, the belt starts slipping and smoking. Stopped it immediately and took it back. They charged us for the full 3 hours and made us pay for a new belt! This is normal wear and tear on a lawn mower and they basically used us to pay for it! This is the first time I have ever had a issue with Ace, but this will also be the last. I will never shop or rent anything from them again!

I spoke with the Owner about a new mower purchase and he beat the local competitions price by $100.00's of dollars with no haggleing. Very friendly, helpful people work there.
