It angers me that anyone would give this place less than 5 stars because it’s 1 lady who runs this place to take care of the neglected animals on her own time and dime. She does an amazing job. So many animals that would have been either killed on the streets or euthanized or abused are given another chance here.Anyone who is going to negatively criticize this place, I ask you go and volunteer 1 hour of your time to walk a dog.this place does great with what resources it has.

I adopted my sheepdog Bilbo (formerly Remington) from New Lease back in 2018. After they rescued him, he was brought to my salon to be shaved down due to severe matting. I fell in love with him, and put in my application the next day. He’s the sweet boy, and I couldn’t imagine my life without him. I can’t thank New Lease enough for rescuing this boy, and allowing me to be his forever home. If you’re looking for your new best friend, consider them!

We adopted our puppy Zoey, formally Daisy, at New Lease on Life. We started taking her polydactyl brother Link to get his nails trimmed because he won’t let us come near his toes. The owner is nothing but quick and gentle with him so it was the first place we looked when it was time for a puppy and we weren’t disappointed.

This is a wonderful rescue. We adopted our Rat Terrier from here when she was just a pup , she is now going on 10. They helped me with all her needs after I brought her home. The animals in their care are all well taken care of. If you are looking to add a pet to your family give them a call.

I adopted my pointer/hound Lucy (formerly Samosa) from New Lease on Life about a month ago. She's a happy and healthy pup! The application and adoption process was smooth, and my fiance and I couldn't be happier with how it went.

We adopted Bentley (Muarader) in September. He is healthy as ever and loves constant attention. The shelter may not be the best, but they are working really hard to get the animals a new home. You can tell they put care into their animals. They were really nice and respectful. I love that they do home visits to make sure their animals are going to a safe place. I would 100% come back to them.

We drove 90 minutes one way. She was very professional and she clearly cares about what is best for the animals. We adopted “Blackberry” and the whole process was extremely thorough and quick. We showed up to see him on a Saturday, filled out our application, had our home visit that Sunday, got the call that we were approved on Monday, and brought him home on Tuesday. He was always neutered, had all the vaccinations and tests he could for his age, microchipped, dewormed, everything. His records from there were very detailed! Probably the most detailed I’ve ever received! Very satisfied with the whole process!

We have adopted our now 4.5 year old dog almost 4 years ago and everyone was wonderful! We also just adopted our kitten 7 months ago and she's literally perfect in every way. The process was simple and working with the rescue was easy. We had been waiting for those perfect fur babies to enter our lives and we could not be happier

I adopted a 8 week old kitten Amulet (Brady) February 17th 2021 from New lease on life. Everything went great. I love the fact she does home visits to make sure animals are safe. More rescues and shelters should do the same. 2 weeks after I got Brady I found blood in her stool. It was 2 days after it would of been covered by the Vet at New lease. I took her to the Vet 3 times unfortunately she has irritable bowel. The Vet Put her on GI food and gave her probiotics to clear it up. I contacted Maria to get advice I was very worried about Brady. She was very caring and helpful. It’s not her fault animals get ill.. Then on Memorial Day 2022 I found 2 kittens and the mom under my porch. So happy, Maria told me about the foster program. I fostered them for a month until the kittens were old enough to go to the rescue. With the foster program you have to bring them there every 2 weeks. She made sure they were all dewormed, shots, and flea meds. I’m glad I went through the program. I found worms in their stool. If left untreated they will die. The mom kitty had ear mites the Revolution Maria put on cleared it up. I never had a problem anyone there. Every rescue isn’t Perfect. Animals are messy. When I was fostering 3 kitty’s I was cleaning up food and litter constantly. Rescues have to make sure all the animals are taken care of 1st then clean up the floor. When I was there all the animals had food and water. Maria has a lot of responsibility. She works very hard for the animals. She just needs more volunteers. For the people that’s bashing the rescue your only hurting the animals. You should go volunteer your time. Instead of just wasting time writing a bad review. (If you really care about them) That’s not going to help them at all. I would love to volunteer unfortunately I got to take care of my sick mom and My 8 yr old. Thanks Maria for your help and everything you do for the animals.

Absolutely the best place you can ever adopt an animal from! So professional, so caring, so loving! Three of close loved ones have all adopted dogs from here and they have never been happier! Thank you for everything you guys do! I don’t know what I would do without my baby girl!

We had a great experience. We were able to bring our Louie home in 3 days and he's the sweetest most loving boy and very smart. He made his self at home as soon as he walked thru our door. I highly recommend New lease on Life, for any pet you're looking to adopt.

Adopted my sweet boy from NLL a couple of months ago. He's still getting comfortable so I am not able to trim his nails yet. Thankfully the woman who runs this shelter makes it so easy and is so caring with him when trimming his nails. It's also remarkably quick. I will continue to work with this shelter as I've had no issues and the owner has been so very kind and patient in every interaction. Even though there's always a million things happening it seems!

So thankful places like this exist. My cat rescued me the day I walked in. And I’m appreciative of the service they offer after my adoption. Being able to take her back for her nail trims is a blessing. And I love that it helps keep the place running. I will 100% recommend this place to anyone looking to adopt a pet. They have Dogs, cats, small animals (such as rabbits and hamsters) and some birds. If you are looking to donate to local places, this place deserves your attention!

Filthy, disgusting place. Piles of stuff everywhere. Tons of blankets and the cats had nothing to lay on. Dogs were jammed in 3 foot fences! A very gross place. I feel so bad for all the animals. It needs to be shut down and the Health Department needs to do it yesterday

We just adopted a dog from there, Jack, and it was such a good experience! She showed us dogs that were good with cats because we have two already. It was such a quick but thorough and professional adoption process. You can tell that they really care for their animals, take good care of them while they're there, and want them to get adopted in to good homes. We could not be happier with our new boy!

First time dog owner, I was a bit nervous as I've read from the reviews New Lease can be a bit choosey on what families get what animals. Happy to say all that strictness just comes from genuine concern for their animals and since I expressed my willingness to learn I adopted my little Archie (formerly Dalek) and he's been a joy. Thanks so much guys!

We adopted a Rottweiler/chow mix puppy from them 2 weeks ago. He is doing wonderful and my 2 resident dogs are getting along great with him. He loves the outdoors and mastered the doggie doors the second day he was home. Growing like a weed.

We love New Lease on Life. Maria is wonderful to deal with and is very knowledgeable on what seems to be everything animal related! We adopted our Lacey at the end of 2020 and we still go to back for our routine nail trimmings for both of our dogs as Maria is the only one who can do them without our older lab freaking out. We highly encourage you to check them out if you are in the market for a fur or feather baby!

Had such a great experience adopting from New Lease on Life. The owner was very informative, thoughtful, and cares. My sister adopted her dog from New Lease on Life a few years ago, so I decided to do the same. Both of our dogs are amazing and I highly recommend to think adoption first and look into adopting at this rescue !

Got my beautiful baby from here. Whole adoption process took 3 days (to visit with my dog, home visit and took take her home) staff was very friendly. Recommend to everyone I know. If I were to ever get another fur baby would definitely be from there

Enjoyed my experience here! After having to put down our 11 year old Sheppard/Lab mix over a month ago leaving her brother all alone, my husband and my two small children decided to make an appointment for me to just go “see” if I connected with any of the dogs there. The lady working was great, she allowed me to stay for almost 2 hours just spending one on one time with several of the dogs so that I could fully take my time and make the right choice! She was very helpful with answering my questions and being patient with me. After almost two hours their sweet dog named “Watermelon” chose me. I instantly fell for him but wanted to give the others a chance too. But sure enough I chose him. The very next day a volunteer came to our house with great advice/information! Now we just wait to go pick up our sweet little new pup!

We passed the shelter a couple times trying to find it. If you’re new and visiting, it’s tucked away on the side of the road. There wasn’t a real parking lot so we just parallel parked on the side. There were lots of kitties and dogs in the back. They all seemed to be well taken care of and you can tell the owner really loves each of these animals. We found our little Shorty and instantly fell in love. You have to fill out some paperwork after you pick out your new friend and put A partial deposit to hold for adoption (ours was $35). They do do house visits to make sure youre appropriate for your new pet. My boyfriend and I both have super busy schedules but they still found time to take a quick visit. A family member we live with was sick at the time so they only did a very brief in-house visit and then spoke with my boyfriend and I about us and our life. The woman that we spoke to was very polite and nice. Whoever does the house visits does not make the decision so you will have to wait a few days for that. Three days later we got the call that we could come pick Shorty up and went and got him that day! He was neutered and has a microchip. He has his first round of shots including his rabies vaccine, and then here in a few weeks we have an appointment to go get the next round of shots for free at the shelter. They even trimmed his nails before we left. If you don’t have a pet carrier you can purchase one of their cardboard box ones for a couple dollars-that’s what we did. Overall very pleasant experience, I’ve recommended quite a few people to this place since visiting and would gladly adopt another friend from them in the future. We are so happy that we got to bring our little Shorty home-he’s already spoiled and it’s only been a week! He’s definitely one loved little kitty!

We looked up their hours online and went to look at dogs and puppies. The door was open when we arrived and the woman there asked if we had an appointment. It was 6 pm and no one was there. They close at 7 pm. And although she had no one else, she refused to allow us to stay and view the animals and told us to make an appointment. The papers in the puppy pens we could see were completely wet. Terrible experience with unfriendly staff who don’t seem to care about fostering relationships with potential adopters at all.

We adopted our newest dog here, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a new best friend. They go to great lengths to help as many animals as possible. We were able to visit our new biy every day between our initial meet and the day we got to bring him home. We even got to take the dogs we already had in to meet the new puppy and make sure everyone was on board ahead of time. They put a ton of effort into making sure the animal and family mesh. An amazing little rescue with the spirit of the little engine that could.

Adopted our dog here last week! They were very thorough to ensure the doggo was going to a clean and safe home with a secure fence. Our pre owned pup has been the best. He was also fully vaccinated and neutered as well.

I like that they required a home visit even for a Guinea pig it shows they really care about the welfare of the animals and don’t put one above the other. You can tell the owner cares about animals I really hope they get the funding needed for a new building. This is a pic of Mocha with her new sister.
