My husband and I have boarded our Border Collie & Aussie a few times over the past year and it’s like a second home to our pups!! Our Aussie had a troubled past and tends to take a while to warm up to strangers. Heartland loves our pups like their own and the feeling is mutual. We feel so relaxed knowing they’re in good hands. Heartland Kennels is amazing! Our little fur baby was always left traumatized at the last place we used for grooming. When she goes to Heartland she comes home the same pup we sent in happy, playful and full of life. No more shaking, and not eating for days! You guys are the best.

My shepherd girls were first-time boarders. Heartland eased my worries and loved our girls. The second time I took them they were so happy to see Kylie they didn't know we left! Will definitely be returning9 month old German Shepherd & 3 year old shepherd

Highly recommend!! I was nervous about my dog's first experience being boarded since he's very attached to us, but the staff here were so nice. They made drop off quick and easy and my dog was so relaxed after we picked him up I couldn't believe it. They even trimmed his nails and I think gave him a bath which I really appreciated because I had meant to ask for his nails to be trimmed and I totally forgot. Super affordable as well. We'll definitely use Heartland again next time we go out of town.

Our boys both 13 + yrs old spent 2 weeks here. They have never been boarded or away from us. Vicki, Ed and daughter were so sweet. We were out of the country and called to check in when we had the ability. The updates were helpful. And our boys did better than we thought they would. Obviously by the updates we knew they were well looked after. And they came home clean, soft and smelling nice.

We used Heartland Kennels for the first time, recently, when we needed to board our cat. The owners were super friendly, answered all of our questions and showed us where our pet would be staying. The bright, clean environment and the great attitude of the operators convinced us we found the right place, and we weren't disappointed. We thank Heartland Kennels for the peace of mind they provided while our pet was in their care. We will definitely use their services again!

We used Heartland Kennels to board our 2 dogs this past weekend and we were very happy with the experience. It was our first time boarding our dogs, so we had a lot of questions and concerns - they happily answered them all and were very accommodating to our one dogs needs. I am prompted to write after reading a few negative reviews. We took our yellow lab there for 10 years. We never, ever had a bad experience. Our dog, Jack, would get so excited when I would ask him if he wanted to go see Vicki. Jack passed away 7 years ago, and we’ve never gotten another dog. But I will always have fond memories of taking him there. He LOVED it!

Updated!Heartland is somewhere you feel safe about boarding your pets. They don't just look after them, they care for them and their needs. The kennel is located behind the owners' home, so there is always someone right there. The cats have a special room where they can come out and get some playtime with other resident kitties. The staff are honest to goodness animal lovers and treat your pet like their own. Our grumpy kitty has stayed twice and the staff greeted her with affection. I knew she was in good hands and felt relieved to know she was being cared for. She always comes back with relatively no stress, and she is a very persnickety little girl.We boarded our 2 dogs here while we were out of the country. Our experience, and our dogs', was great. They took great care in making sure our younger dog settled into her little vacation very well. She was very happy and was her happy, bouncy self when we returned. Our older dog was also well taken care of and had no issues being boarded for over a week. They even contacted me to calm my anxieties about being away from our pets for so long.Their rates are also reasonable! You can't beat loving care at a wallet approved price.They also offer grooming services for your pets, which we haven't utilized yet, but will report back once we have.

Absolutely love them! They are great with my cats and keep me up to date with everything. They let me call and check on them and helped me set up a way to pay online so I can have a family member pick up my cats when I was going to miss the deadline. They really watch to see how they are doing and encourage the cats to be friendly if they want to. I feel so much better about leaving town when they are there.

Just dropped my dogs off for the 3rd time here. I honestly love this place. 1 of my dogs has high anxiety and is not overly friendly with strangers I was extremely nervous the first time I left him here..Now I wouldn't take him anywhere else.It makes me really comfortable seeing the same person working every time and how she and her family interact with animals. They pay attention to every detail and make me feel confident leaving my 2 velcro dogs with them. I can be a little overbearing as a dog parent and they have never once made me feel like I was bothering them. If you have a dog that you might worry about leaving other places for aggression, anxiety, etc this might be the place for you.

Discovered after picking up my dogs from Heartland Kennels and Boarding one of my dogs had feces all over his underside and paws, also a water proof pad and blanket were cover in feces it was so caked on that it took a garden hose to get most of it off. Needless to say I’m shocked and upset to see how careless and neglectful they where to the need of my dogs. This was my first and last experience boarding and I feel responsible because I trusted these people and this is what happens when your short staff and careless. Bottom line don’t take your dogs there if they did that to my dogs they will surely do it to yours!!!

Have left our cat here a couple of times now, very happy with the entire experience! Friendly staff, clean cages for onboarding, convenient and well priced. Pickup/dropoff times are fairly strict so I recommend calling to confirm appropriate times and availability.

Dropped my rescue off for the first time. She was scared and timid when I left, completely different when I picked her up. I can tell they treated my pup very well. Will definitely be using heartland in the future and recommend anyone to do the same!

As first-time customers we trusted Heartland to board our dogs for a week (for the first time ever boarding our dogs). There were hidden fees we knew nothing about until I was given a receipt after picking up the dogs, and even then I was not given a chance to even look at what I paid for. There is a fee for medication administration, for bathing before pickup, and for nail trimmings, and for evening pickup (which is the only option for Sundays). None of which I was told about. Further, someone in my family paid them to bathe my dogs without my knowledge, a nice gesture but I was not notified before or after the bath as their owner. This person was not the emergency contact and should not have had the authority to make decisions for my dogs, but the staff never told me at all. I had to find out from someone else (and from the redacted charge on my receipt that I was not told about). This is just really unprofessional and untrustworthy. I even tipped them 20% which I fully regret, knowing what I do now. When I brought this to their attention I was completely ignored.

My dog appeared to have had a good time at this kennel. She was excited to go and was happy and clean when I picked her up. Its a clean, friendly business with reasonable prices. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others in need of good dog care.

Heartland grooms my cat and occasionally boards him. My cat is an ultra long hair. He left me daily hairballs until it occurred to me I could send him for a crew cut. I thought it would require hogtying him, but it turns out he loves the haircuts and he loves everyone there. He comes home looking and feeling like a Marine recruit.
