My kitty passed away & I started looking for another kitty. I had looked at several animal shelters but didn’t find a special kitty. I stopped at Richland County and I found my next kitty. She came to me & climbed up my leg. She has settled in to her new surroundings. I love this girl!!!

Great experience! Everyone was wonderful and you could tell they loved the animals. I brought Dodger home and he is the sweetest boy. He fit right in with the family. He is definitely “Velcro” So happy to have him.Sunday Nov 27, 2022 updated photo of Dodger. He is a 90lb baby that is the most precious addition to my family.

Thank you for letting my mamaw (Julie Sutake) adopt dodger he loves to play tug of war with me and my English bulldog. And he is very calm he cuddles with me but mostly my mom and dad I taught him to dance I taught him to sit and I tought him to speak. Thank you

It has been a great experience. We have the most precious cat. We call her Gracie . She is the best cat. So sweet and loving. Would love to send a picture of her now. You can't go wrong going there to get a pet.

They help out with free dog and cat food the 1st Saturday of every month. It's been awhile since I've had to go there, last week I really needed it and they weren't doing it. But it happens. There's alot of people getting free pet food with unopened bags, idc, it can be opened. I feed my animals, I don't sell it on different sites.

Got a few cats from this establishment. They kinda stink sometimes but they're overall cool little dudes. Staff was super helpful and nice. There was a brown haired girl that works with the cats that was especially helpful. Can't remember her name but she matched me up with a couple cats that very nearly turned me from a dog person to a cat person

They were offering free pet food from 10-12 today. My friend and I were there at 9:57. We went up to get pet food. She got a large bag of cat and dog food and some cans of wet cat food. When I went up I told them I had 5 indoor cats. They said they were out of large bags of cat food so they gave me a small bag and some cans. When I got in my car ready to leave I saw the next person get a large bag of cat food. I appreciate the help I was given but didn't appreciate being lied to.

I used to think there were decent people that work there until I actually interacted with these trespassing, judgmental, highly opinionated clowns. I just read a comment where someone was directly lied to about their pet food pantry and still said they were grateful, and the reply was to belittle them and not take into consideration what she even said!So the point of your feedback section is in your mind only for people to praise you for your virtue signalling?

Staff at this shelter should be better trained to confirm with landlords before allowing people to adopt pets that they are not authorized to have. Linda called to ask if a resident can have a pet, and was told no they cannot have pet until addendums are signed and fees are paid. At this point, no pet request had even been made by the resident. Linda went ahead and sent the animal with them anyway, in violation of their lease.This causes undue stress on the animals that have to be returned, taken elsewhere, or worse.

I've never actually been into this adoption agency... I applied to adopt an animal from them and got a call saying that they were looking at my application and that everything seemed good. I then emailed them the next day to ask if I could stop in and see the animal. We knew she wasn't for adoption yet, but were super excited to meet her since they told us our application looked good. They never responded to my email then I got a call not even a week later from them stating my application had been approved but that the pup had already been placed.

The ladies were amazing!! And they took superb care of my fur baby!!! They gave me fantastic instructions for after surgery and what to expect and great notes to take to my babies vet/dr. Thank you to those wonderful people!!!!

Tried getting help with a 3-4 week old kitten I found outside my apartment and when I got there the person who came out seemed very annoyed that I even asked for help and was just overall rude. Ever since they got new people in there it has been nothing but terrible.

Yes before Christmas 2017 I stopped in because was told by a friend that's there was a Bischon puppy in the shelter. The dog was sweet and seemed to know some commands. But it was an adult, age undetermined, Maltese with mammory gland tumors. After contacting my vet I found that the surgery would be quite expensive. I did return to revisit and talk more about her, the adoption fee, and the cost on top of that for surgery. I was told since she was a pure bred dog, her adoption fee was the highest the shelter wanted. Also the employee shared that with pure bred dogs they contact breed specific rescues and that one was coming to get her. I hope she found a caring home. She was sweetie

Someone dumped a cat at our house I called them about the cat and they said to bring it to them and they would take care of it. They were friendly and kind. There is a $20 fee which is reasonable for the service they provide.

They don’t open until 2:00. Sign on door says they are full and no longer accepting cats (drove 25 min to get here with mama and 4 kittens I found in my garage).

This is an oasis for our 4 legged FRIENDS. Found this organization to be professional and knowledgeable about 4 legged family members. I was able to call, after my family adopted Elena, to try and find out about things like house breaking feeding amounts and so on. This organization is worthy of this communities support. I have called this place five times in a row and left a message every single time!!! Still haven’t receive a phone call back. Trying to set up an appointment for a dog that was advised on Fox 8 News. WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON!!! Very disappointed future customer. If the company is going to write a review back don’t apologies for your unprofessional behavior call me back and leave me a number that you will ACTUALLY pick up the phone.

This shelter helps with food on Thursdays from 2 to 4 you're allowed to visit once a month first visit you don't need no paperwork you second visit please take with you if your dog has been neutered or spayed or your cat they also have Birds snakes and bunnies and these animals are up for adoption everybody you should visit the Richland County Humane Society in Ontario

These people truly love the animals. The facility is always clean when I visit. The employees are knowledgeable and always willing to answer any questions that you have.
