Food was okay. Nothing spectacular, but be prepared to pay, 3pc kid chicken tenders served with applesauce and goldfish 9.00$Plus an extra 1$ for ranch. Drinks are 2.99 with no refills.The best part was the pool kids loved it. We planned on eating there again but didn’t realize they were closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

We have only been here twice, so I am going to combine the experiences. The first time we were there, things were pretty busy. They seated us outside right away. No one was wearing masks. So that was surprising. And I mean, non of the staff or patrons. Service was pretty fast. We ordered the Hamburger, the fried bologna sandwich, the buffalo chicken wrap, and the Nachos. The Nachos were huge, my daughter loved them, The Chicken wrap was also huge and my daughter loved it, the Hamburger was cooked perfectly and the tater tots were crispy perfection. The Fried Bologna sadly was the end cut of the bologna and my husband who usually loves fried bologna wished that he had ordered something else. So 3 out of 4 per pretty amazing. The food is more expensive than one would expect for food like this, but being on an island and one of 2 restaurants, it was still expected.The second time we were there we went on the Monday after 4th of july thinking that we would have avoided crowds. But sadly, this was not the case. When we got there it was chaos. Dirty tables not being bussed, People standing around waiting to be seated or served, the wait staff running around looking exhausted. They were definitely understaffed for the influx of people. We ended up waiting over a half an hour to be seated and was warned the the food in the kitchen was taking an hour. The problem being that we were on an island at one of the two restaurants on said island. So where else could we really go? We waited. Happily the food actually only took about 20 mins. I couldn't help but order the hamburger again because of how good it was, same with my daughter and the chicken wrap. My husband, impressed by how the wrap looked the last time, ordered the chicken wrap. The chicken wrap was half the size as the time before. My hamburger was majorly overcooked. Tater tots were mushy. Plus by time we got the check, we realized that they charged us for each refill. This was something that they did not do the first time we were there. We had free refills. They charged us near $3 per pop refill. And this being after all of the waiting on top of it. I guess that it was a good thing that there was just 2 rounds of refills as it was hard to flag our waiter down to get one. So that was disappointing. The next week when we were coming up with plans on where to take the boat for dinner, we ended up going to Kelley's island instead.The pool is a fun addition in the back. When sitting outside the pump for the waterfall is sooooo loud. The kids were thrilled with going into it. But then with more inspection, the pool was actually quite dirty. There was a snake in it and a snake skin even. It was fascinating and gross all at the same time.Golf cart rental is pretty cheap. Like $15 an hour. The lady working the counter the second visit seemed to have a hard time communicating and understanding. So that made it difficult.

Amazing atmosphere, attentive staff, so much bigger inside than it looks, GREAT food! We went there 4 times in our 2 day stay and everything we had was amazing.

This place could be 5 stars with the awesome food and wade pool, but both times we have been here there has been a smell of raw sewage. Looking behind the pool I see there is a treatment facility. I think the should take steps to reduce the smell. I also feel pricing is a bit high. 20$ for a burger is a bit high. Other then that this place is an amazing Lake Erie island destination!!!

Do not recommend!! I made a small purchase at the gift shop and they were having an issue printing the receipt. So they duplicated the charge and charged me nearly $400 for a sweatshirt!!! Of course this was over memorial day weekend and really put a damper on my vacation. I'm also still working on get my money back as well. Then when I called to tell them what happened they really didn't care. For a small business, I'd expect better! Absolutely will not return.

Bring your wallet/card ! It is the island folks.Great coffee. Thank God ! Thanks Amy !The staff are hard working and great to us !Thanks so much to everybody ! We were hot, tired, and hungry ! My Hamburger meal, chips, coleslaw (forgot its name) was pretty good. They have room to get that fifth star from me; but, I highly recommend JF. Great place. Heck of a nice large men's room.Parking: Close, and enough for island traffic !JF is close walking distance to the Marina.Kid-friendliness: Pool to play in.

We had a wonderful time with friends. Drink service was very good. Our food was hot and cooked perfectly. Our server Gianna was attentive, friendly. Very bubbly and informative. She made our afternoon extremely enjoyable.

Me and a group of family members were there yesterday . It was a Tuesday afternoon so they weren't too busy, but the service was excellent and the food was good. Waitress was very attentive.The location of the restaurant , their patio and luckily the weather were all amazing. We had a wonderful time with Family & friends.

Nice place. Great screened patio and even larger outdoor patio. Decent pool however it’s not deep. Love sitting under and umbrella on the patio though. Service is decent. Food is better than most the places around. Drinks are average price for the island. Definitely try the walleye! I normally stop by a few times while on the island.

Food was good but pricey.. would’ve preferred bottled water rather than the island well water. As I work in food safety and understand the necessary measures for water monitoring, I don’t doubt the water isn’t safe to drink; however, many people do not like the smell and/ or taste of well water. The wading pool was a nice touch.

Food fair but overpriced. They have a nice air conditioned restaurant but was closed because of lack of help, so they push you out on a screened in bar area when it is over 90 degrees. Just a a few very small tables, hardly room for plates, no napkins offered. Seemed like a lot of help running around not doing much. Several of the wait people smoking with a stinky ashtray at the of the bar at the busy intersection/entrance from air conditioned unused area. Disgusting.

This place was a treat especially amy her service was above and beyond when my blood sugar dropped she was completely sympathetic and offered options to best help. Throughout the night she was a saint give her a raise she deserves so much I visited on 6/24

Stopped by today for a grape stomping contest. Seemed understaffed and our server was very slow. He apologized and pointed out all the other tables he was responsible for. Ordered nachos. Was not overly impressed with the toppings. On the plus side, it is a neat place to visit and has a really cool pool area.

This place is so much fun. Great service. Great ambiance. Jake was our bartender and went above and beyond to accommodate our friend who dropped their credit card in the cracks of the bar. He tried to retrieve the card by going underneath the deck of the bar and got muddy. But continued to provide service with a smile. Greatly appreciated!!!

Five stars because Chris (owner). And staff. And ambiance. The food is good for what it is so if you don't like it, it's because your expectations are too high.😄 We've been coming here every summer for more than 10 years and it is consistently fun and no matter what is going on in the world, maintains a standard. We have seen other parts of the island change, decline or improve, but I can count on JF Walleyes to be my happy place. All things considered, that is high praise indeed.

Fantastic atmosphere and food. Great staff as well. There’s a pool and everything at this place. A person could easily spend an entire day here. If you want to check out the island, this is where you rent golf carts from.

I've had many meals at Walleyes this year and each has been excellent. The food quality has always been top notch. Fresh, crisp lettuce and other greens on the salads, fresh fruits and high quality meat on the breakfast bar, and excellent sausage gravy and biscuits. The burgers are made to order and are excellent. The service has always been top notch and the wait staff hustle to make your experience true to their branding of eat, drink, relax, and repeat. I can't speak to the skill of the bar tenders as I've not had any mixed beverages. Give them a shot and be delighted as I was several times over.

Service was prompt and food was hot. Not gourmet, but food was very good. Wait staff were all masked, as they should be. Our waiter was very attentive, and my wife thought he was cute. Nice outdoor atmosphere, and clean. We'll be going back.
