I have been taking my Heeler to this office for 3 years. Dr. Studds is great, very friendly and patient as it takes a minute to warm up to my pup, she does not like the vet & is very protective of me (typical Heeler behavior). My concerns were addressed and oral surgery was scheduled for the following week. My worries were put at ease and I was shocked by the affordable price.

This is a really nice vet. They have cared for my Malinois ( not easy LOL) since I got him. Dr. Hofstetter rocks! So does all the staff!

The veterinarians with this practice all have some of the best magnet with pets and rapport within people of anyplace else I've taken my animals. I've had to use many of the various convenient locations over the years, depending on the reason we're there. It's always been an exceptional experience.

Love the staff here. Its Sad Dr. Roberts retired but the new vets seem very friendly! Been a client here for about 6 years, all 3 dogs are always well taken care of. Reasonable prices and Jenn is always quick to squeeze me in when needed!

Doctor Roberts is the best vet I've ever had the pleasure of working with! His prices are reasonable, and the environment is friendly and fun. He definitely has a sense of humor! (In the good way, of course) I've referred so many friends to him, and my whole family uses him as their vet of choice. He takes care of my 5 animals, and my family's 16 other animals. He even does rescue work with organizations, big and small! Not just SPCA. I would highly recommend this vet to anyone looking for one who won't try to get you to spend more, and will just tell you like it is. Easy to make appointments and get in to get your furry family taken care of! He's definitely helped us out more than once. Very ethical, and genuinely caring.

The entire staff is so friendly. They always get us right in and treat our dog like the family member she is. Dr. Roberts has been great to work with and lightens each appointment with his sense of humor. The office is clean, friendly and staffed with well-educated people who want what is best for our dog. Thanks for making our visits easy on both the pup and owners.

I have been taking my fur kids to Doc Roberts and his wonderful staff for over a year. I can understand why the SPCA chose him to be a part of their team. Very Knowledgeable, Patient, Concerned and Caring Vet.The Secretary behind the front desk is always so pleasant and welcoming! The rest of the staff is very pleasant and caring. The office is 45 minutes from my home but wouldn't consider choosing any other Vet Clinic.

We were taking our Husky to a different Medina vet but they would not and still do not allow you to accompany your pet into their office. Not being a fan of this, I checked for alternative options in the Medina area and found these folks. After reading some of the past reviews, I was expecting the vet to be an a-hole, but they were a fantastic, personable and helpful bunch. The sign now reads, 'Under new management/ownership' so this must have something to do with that. They took the time to address all of my questions/concerns and the cost was extremely competitive. Highly recommend.

I brought my cat here. He was extremely sick and they managed to fit him in the day I called. I was so worried that he wasn't going to make it, but the staff here did a fantastic job in taking care of him and making sure he survived. The cost for overnighting my pet was very reasonable, and I was confident he was being well taken care of. Highly recommend. The veterinarian knows what he's talking about and was able to diagnose almost immediately.

I am fairly new to this area and had found a local vet because of our current pets needed checkups. Only after adopting a cat from the SPCA and needing to get her fixed was I referenced to Dr. Roberts. My experience was very positive. He did a great job on neutering our cat. The incision and stitches were done by a true professional and one day later our cat is back to her happy normal self. I would recommend him to a friend.

Dr. Roberts is exceptional in diagnosis and treatment of animals. He is a no nonsense Dr. and says it the way it is. May not be what some like but always puts the animals first. He has always returned my calls himself, giving me test results and opportunity to discuss concerns and answer anyquestions .This is rare. His staff is efficient and compassionate.

Dr. Roberts has been taking good care of our 3 dogs and 2 cats as well as my moms 3 dogs and kitty for YEARS now! We've never had any less then a great experience. Jenn behind the desk is always a pleasure to work with and very accommodating with our pets, schedules and needs.I've had appointments booked in advance as well as last minute emergencies over the years that Dr. Roberts has always taken time out of his busy schedule to meet with us for.I highly recommend Medina County Animal Clinic as we've had to use other vets out of state and across town over the years if we lived outside of town but we've always ended up coming right back to MCAC. Dr. Roberts always has some type of silly nickname for our pets that makes me laugh and I always feel very welcome in this establishment.Thank you MCAC for keeping our fur babes healthy and happy!

My family has gone to Dr. Roberts for about 13 years, with multiple dogs. We've always found Dr. Roberts to be very knowledge and up to date with new veterinary techniques.I've also had the pleasure of shadowing Dr. Roberts to learn more about what day-to-day veterinary clinic work is like. He's a knowledgeable, capable, and empathetic veterinarian. I highly recommend Dr. Roberts and his staff to anyone with animals.

I had a sick little puppy yesterday and when I called, they were super sweet and nice, made me feel very comfortable. Got me in the same day and when I arrived greeted me at my car and brought me right in. They were so good with my pup! She is already feeling better! I plan to make this my permanent vet!

Dr. Roberts is the worst vet I've ever in encountered in all my 43 years of owning animals. I only interacted with him because he is a vet with the Medina County SPCA and I am fostering one of their animals. This man is rude and condescending and I left his office crying and troubled over leaving my foster dog in his care, which was not a good feeling. Please consider taking your animals elsewhere so that they can receive the quality care that they deserve.

We got a puppy about a year ago and we have been taking him since he was 7 weeks old . And we kept trying this vet because it is close to our house and we were giving him the benefit of doubt but he is just the worst!!!! He is always very rude and uncaring to our animal !!! It seems that he enjoys to make you feel like a bad owner. Our dog is always super nervous around him like he can sense how evil this man is! He asks every time when we are getting him neutered and we told him every time that we might breed our two dogs and last visit he told us “ I wouldn’t breed this dog “. Our dog never snarled or nothing . I would never get my dog neutered here I would honestly be afraid he would harm our dog . Maybe it’s just our dog he has it out for for some reason but I see a lot of other bad reviews also ! WILL NEVER BE RETURNING !!!! I ADVISE THE SAME TO ANYONE WHO IS CONSIDERING THIS PLACE

Dr. Roberts is an excellent vet with a quirky sense of humor. But you can tell he loves animals. The staff there is very sweet and caring. And there are affordable.

Dr Roberts is a no nonsense type of vet, he was quick, efficient & made an accurate diagnosis. He saved my cat's life, & was very affordable. I will continue to go to him in the future.

We went to put our dog down and the first thing the vet tech said was “you’ll need to hurry because the doc wants to get home early” as if we weren’t putting down our childhood dog of 15 years. The main vet was very rude throughout the whole procedure and had no empathy at all. He rushed through the entire thing as if we were an inconvenience which is not professional at all, at a time when someone is putting their dog down. If you’re gonna put your dog down and actually care about them don’t go to this veterinarian because he clearly shows that he does not care and will rush through it just to get his money. Not professional or caring at all.

Literally just left the clinic with my pit mix Season. Over the past 3 years we have been to our share of veterinarians all of which were great, but sometimes you just know! Today we had a great visit and I have decided that the Medina County Animal Clinic is it!

I love Dr. Roberts he was a great assistance to me with my cat Cisco after Banfield tore a whole in his Urethra while cathing him. Don’t ever go to Banfield. After they did that my cat had symptoms they had no idea why or how to fix it this went on for 2 weeks with many visits back to Banfield finally I decided to get another opinion and dr Roberts knew just from looking at my cat what was wrong with him. Have been going to him ever since.

My family had a very special dog. I'm sadden with grief, because of the fact, I had to put her down last week. She went to Dr. Roberts a total of 3x.The first visit, was for an upper respiratory infection. At that time, he took notice of a rash under her chin. "And this, I don't know what this is!" were his exact words. I was hoping he would, so it could get tended to.He suspected rotten teeth was the cause, of the respiratory infection, so we made another appointment, to have them removed. Two things, that I did not like...the uncertainty he had, with how many teeth were removed. I questioned, you say 4 to 5, you sound like you don't know. He put his clip board down, to open our dog's mouth and began counting.#2. I called prior to get the total cost, so I could write the check out and just hand it to the secretary. When going to pay, I was told $10 less, compare to what I was told, on the phone. I was given an option, but giving change was not an option. I thought they didn't have the change, taking credit was decided. When the secretary opened her drawer, I noticed a wad of cash. I explained to my father, they trapped us, so we would have to come back.In time the rash under our dog's chin got worse. Her paws and areas, in her face, started to get effected. I tried doing what I could, but gave up and made an appointment, with Dr.Roberts.He gave a shot, to help with the itching and that shot, lead to me, having to put our dog down. I was asked more than once, did he do blood work? I said " No."When taking her to the animal hospital, they discovered she was a diabetic. If blood work was done, he would have known, not to give our dog, that shot. Also within this last visit, to Dr. Roberts, I asked for our dog's nails to be clipped. He lifted her up, with one of his hands, on her vagina. It alarmed me to see that, then I looked at him, then he looked at me.I didn't know what to make, of that. Also within this last visit to him, a cat was his next patient and he made a comment, that he hates cats. This man should not be a Veterinarian and I don't understand why or how the SPCA can trust him, with their animals, they have him tending to or our pets.

It was okay. My Beagle was limping and I brought her to see this vet. The vet looked her over and he basically said, "She should get better. Any discomfort, just give her one of these (a pill to calm her, not pain mind you) and please make sure she doesn't run, jump, climb, etc. for a few weeks" To a Beagle this is like asking us not walk. But I expected X-rays or something. It's been month and she is still limping.

My beloved Boxer went in for surgery for an infection.....Four days later she DIED! on Friday...We called on a Sunday to inform this Veterinarian of her death by leaving a message.......Monday came and no call back....So we called on Monday.......All we got was this..from an employee."We got your message and cancelled your appointment to remove the stitches"....No condolences, no nothing!!!!Obviously this is the most uncaring place to take a beloved pet......Still no contact from this Veterinarian....Days later!!!!!!

This clinic is rather unsettling.... I had called around to numerous animal clinics trying to figure out who could get my 10 yr old dog in the quickest. She has some serious skin irritation. Now, when I talked to this clinic they told me that I had the right to decline procedures and medications due to the costs, as I am a stay at home mom and only working on one income. GREAT! That's exactly one thing I was looking for.So I ended up taking her to the clinic this week. Not once did he discuss any of the costs except for the appointment fee ($45). He sat there and told us things that he wanted us to try at home for her as he suspected she was allergic to fleas. But not once did he state any costs of the things he wanted us to do. He also proceeded with giving her a shot for itching without even asking our approval.By time we got done and we're going to pay for the office visit and the shot, the lady told us it was going to be $200 for the visit, the shot, and the rest of the things he had wanted us to do... now, we were told we could deny anything the doc had wanted to do so we went in with $60 because the visit/ wellness check was only $45. We sat there at the counter and explained to them that we couldn't pay for it all right then and there, and that we would be back for the other things when we had the money. The lady at the counter was really rude about the situation and kept rolling her eyes at us, meanwhile I have a 2 year old running and screaming around the lobby.Well low and behold, the freaking SPCS shows up at my house the day after(thursday) stating we needed to get her medication, and have proof that we paid for it by 2 pm the following day (friday). How do I come up with that money when my boyfriend doesn't even get his paycheck until 8pm friday?!I don't know about this doctor, or the employees.... just not happy with them.

I've been bringing pets here for years. Best care, fair priced, honest, tactful, gentle. If I lived 50 miles away, I'd still drive my "kids" back here....They have gone overboard time and again to help us out. The BEST around.
