I live an hour and a half away so I get to this store much less than I like to. I’ve only only been there twice and ran into the owner at a frag swap 6 months ago and he still remembered my name and details about my tanks! Top notch customer service and an over all excellent store and shopping experience! Whether you’re new to the hobby or a seasoned reefer you can’t go wrong at Great Lakes fish and coral! This is a great place to go for saltwater aquarium fish, coral, and supplies. From my understanding, they offer maintenance and care for saltwater aquariums and that experience and expertise shows in the store and staff. I would feel very comfortable with going here for saltwater needs.

Couldn’t be happier shopping here! Andrew, Juliana and Cora are wonderful! Doesn’t matter if you are a brand new out of box saltwater enthusiast of been in the hobby for 20+ year they are they go help you through the process. Won’t be shopping anywhere else!

The store is welcoming, clean and well organized. There was a good selection of fish & the corals are gorgeous. Prices are very fair. Andrew was awesome. He was friendly and helpful with picking out my betta, making sure I was equipped properly. He also took a lot of time to talk to my daughter about his axolotols and answer all her questions. 100% would recommend and will absolutely return

Andrew and the staff are amazing. They bring a contagious energy for beginners and unparalleled expertise for more experienced owners. He has helped take this from an idea, to an interest, to a full-blown hobby. I really enjoy coming into the store to see what's new, and I am always treated with respect. Can not overexaggerate how amazing this place is. Excellent selection, communication, and knowledge. Andrew and his team have a combination rare in this hobby--niche expertise without the elitism and snobbery you see in other saltwater stores. All of my livestock purchased here, both saltwater and freshwater, are in amazing health. Excellent selection and some rarer finds I did not expect!Personally, I would like to thank Andrew for his willingness to work with me on a returned item. He certainly made a loyal customer out of me!

This is a great place for hobbyists or families looking for information to start a fish tank together! Andrew and Beau are both a wealth of information and very friendly. No one will ever make you feel bad about asking a question, have all the supplies to create your solution, and can even come out to your place and do a service.The inventory is clean, esthetically pleasing, and vast.Lots of unique and healthy fish and coral. This is the best store. The owner, Andrew, is extraordinarily helpful, knowledgeable, honest, kind, and patient. I come in with my two very young kids in tow every time and have felt only the warmest welcome every single time. The store is the cleanest I have ever visited, and so streamlined, organized, bright, and beautiful. The fish are so well cared for. The staff is amazing and patient and helpful. There are just such good vibes and integrity to the place and the people who work there. I have been to many stores for fish and supplies but this one is absolutely the best.

This place is absolutely outstanding!!! The owner is very curious with his dog and the dog is extremely friendly!!! Dog has played with me numerous times and plays with all the children that come in. Owner always asks if people are ok with the dog and if not he puts him in the back with no issues!!! This place has outstanding service from every staff member and the owner is very interactive with people in the hobby! Not just some guy behind the desk! Matter a fact every time I have been in there he is usually the one who is handling everything! He is very fair with pricing and sorry but BLUE FISH AQUARIUM on mayfield rd in Ohio has nothing on this guys establishment!!!! I’ve seen numerous places fail in the salt water hobby! However this guys dedication is one that will succeed beyond any other establishment and will go very far! They offer all kinds of services and I have bought a ton of coral from him and have had great success with his coral and recommended products and advice that has helped me succeed in the salt water hobby coming from freshwater to salt water. It’s a whole new adventure, however the team from this place has been extremely helpful and supportive in absolutely every way possible! If I could rate them 1-5 I’d say it’s impossible bc I’d rate a 10!!!! It’s a must see and must go place to do business with!!!! Way to go!!!! And hats off to all his staff!!! Very impressive!!!

Without a doubt this is one of, if not the best saltwater/freshwater store in all of NE Ohio. The owner Andrew has such an interesting background and is more than experienced to be able to answer any questions you have whether you are a beginner or have been a hobbyist for 10+ years. He’s a super nice guy and has great prices on spectacular merchandise! Amazing staff as well. Definitely will be getting all of my reef tank needs from this store! 10/10

Been in the saltwater tank life style for nearly 15 years now. And this shop is just WOW!!! The staff is beyond knowledgeable, and always willing to help (huge huge plus when it comes to this hobby) The selection of fish, invertebrates, corals and so much more is amazing. The selection of frags is my wallet danger zone *haha* and they have now turned me into a rock flower anemone junkie. If you are new to the hobby (fresh or saltwater) come here! By far the best fish I have ever brought home from a pet store acclimated perfect eating healthy exploring spaces 2nd day I get it most people would wait a couple months but I have never had a fish acclimated so quickly and I have been in the hobby over 20 years, great job and totally worth the cost that is how a fish store should do it perfect.

Best place for needs and knowledge. The workers always ask if you have questions or need help. Their fish selection is amazing ranging from crazy nano fish like Basslets and Court Jesters, to fish you only see in YouTube videos like a Koi Scopus Tang. Their coral is very beautiful and healthy while also offering colors that may be hard to find in this part of Ohio.

Excellent knowledge on all his aquatic buddies. Gets rare types of freshwater "common" fish to spruce up your tanks. Saltwater is always immaculate will straight tell you if something isn't for sale and show you another one.

My son wanted to go check out their coral and fish and we were amazed on how many varieties of fish they had both salt and fresh water !Picked up two tiger barbs and a spotted catfish for my sons tank. Oh and a free sticker !!☆ Reasonably priced☆ Very friendly and knowledgeable staff☆ One extremely happy 10 year old☆☆☆☆☆ HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Just want to give a shout out to Great lakes fish and coral. You can tell right away they are more interested in the hobby then just trying to make a quick buck. Definitely worth checking out. Go support a new store with some great owners.

Not great for Tropical Fresh Water Fish. Tanks are very unkept.. most of the fish had ICK on them. Mismatched labels or prices on everything. Pit bull Dog barking and greeting you at the door as you come in.. not fun.. overall not a great place at all.

Great lakes fish and coral has the nicest and most knowledgeable owner and staff! Their variety and quality for coral and fish can not be beat. Getting into the salt water aquarium hobby can be daunting. Andrew knows what he is doing, and he will take good care of you!
