What we’ve gained in knowledge about where are food comes from, why regenerative farming is so important, and getting too know the farmers that put their whole selves into their farm so you can have quality foods is worth more then I can put into this review.From getting to buy their products at the local farmers market, going to their education events at their farm for both adults and kids, and just having conversations to learn more about their processes is worth so much to our family.We’re honored to have them in our community and feel like they are part of our extended family as we bring them up so much to our family and friends. It’s hard to hold back so much excitement when people ask where we got the delicious meats and eggs from.I give them 5 stars for their products, their farm, and who they are as both local farmers and just good people. I highly recommend you check them out for yourself. You’re likely to find out what food should actually taste like.

There is so much to love about Sugar Butte Farms. I rarely eat meat, but when I do, it’s local, it’s delicious, and it’s from Sugar Butte. Eric and Kayla are giving these animals the very best possible lives. Not only that, they’re improving the land as they farm—most agriculture takes nutrients out the soil. But Sugar Butte is restoring healthy land. This is the opposite of industrial agriculture, the kind of farming I am happy to support.

This business is a family. A family who truly cares about you. Because they care about you, their farm, their animals, and their products are cared for and grown with love. They are a wealth of information about their farming process too.They have the best eggs ever, their chicken and chicken chorizo is amazing, and I absolutely love all of their pork sausages, bacon, and their pork chops.My family buys all of our meat and eggs from them. I highly recommend Sugar Butte Farms to everyone.Their summer CSA was so much fun. It’s like Christmas waiting to see what is in your bag and trying the recipes that come with the different meats.The best part is getting meats I probably never would have tried on my own. I have truly loved every new meat and end up buying it again long term.Thank you for caring and sharing your knowledge about the process of your farm.I highly recommend the CSA membership.

Can't say enough about SBF. Eric and Kayla are great folks with a real passion for what they are doing. Yes, I could buy eggs, chicken and turkey cheaper at the supermarket, but I wouldn't be supporting sustainable agriculture and great people. And I wouldn't be getting food that tastes nearly as good. The eggs and chicken have been fantastic but the turkey - incredible. Our dog also approves of the food and always pulls to go to their booth, though I'm not sure if it's for the food or to get pets from Eric.

We met Eric, Kayla, and Will at the beginning of COVID, when chicken and eggs were hard to find in the store. They took time to educate us about their process. They invited us to their farm for a tour. Now, almost 3 years later, they are still nourishing our family. Hardly a meal goes by that we aren’t, in some fashion, eating something from Sugar Butte Farm. We have purchased a half a hog and a whole hog (the bacon is AMAZING), 3 Thanksgiving turkeys, many whole chickens, and eggs (so many eggs)!The investment you are making is well worth it, not only now but for your future health.

We recently learned of Sugar Butte Farms and their commitment to sustainable, organic meats. After ordering some pork and beef products, we couldn't be happier with the ease of ordering and pickup, and the quality of their products. Our Christmas ham was excellent and we're looking forward to Osso Buco after the holidays. Kayla and Eric have been very helpful and responsive when we've had questions and it's obvious that they are passionate about their livelihood. Eric and Kayla and son Will at Sugar Butte farms are great, they will bend over backwards to help and please you, they are true and honest people and farmers, their eggs, chicken and pork products are truly pasture rotated and organic as they can be, you can go to the farm and visit and see how things are raised and cared for (loved) and get your order or they will meet you or even deliver to your home. I truly believe that what we eat, that is free from chemicals, hormones and drugs is the key to good health, and Sugar Butte farms is truly giving my family this option.

Kayla and Eric not only care alot about how healthy the food is that they are eating but they also truly love and respect the animals they raise for food. Check out their site anytime and see how much they love on and treat their animals. We just bought our second half of a pig and again it is delicious and so much better tasting than store bought. The same goes for their chicken, turkey, and eggs. We highly recommend them!!

We have purchased pork and chicken from Sugar Butte. The farmers are great people- and the meat is fantastic. No comparison to store bought meat!!! When we have prepared (smoked, grilled, baked, fried) it for others- it has received rave reviews. Highly recommend!

This farm is amazing! Eric, Kayla and Will treat their chickens, turkey and pigs with the utmost love and respect. From my first conversation with Eric to my subsequent visits, I've become their biggest fan. I've chased their chickens, help round up pigs, got to hold a squealing piglet, and got to pet their baby goat. They welcome you to their farm to see how they raise and treat their animals. Lots of pig hugs and kisses, chickens with names (and one with painted toenails) - I know that the food I've gotten from them had a great life. Their chicken is outstanding - moist and tender. We had a thanksgiving turkey from their flock last year. It was flavorful and delicious. We also ordered a whole pig last year. It was custom butchered, so we got exactly what we wanted. Bacon, brats, chops, hams and roasts were all excellent. I can't say enough good about this farm!

"Salt of the Earth" is a great way to describe Sugar Butte Farms. Eric and Kayla literally put their blood, sweat, and tears into their slice of Ohio. The care that they put into their products for your consumption is second to none. The attention to detail is evident in anything they produce, and if you want to know how it came to your plate from day 1, just ask Eric. He won't leave out any detail, but that is why Sugar Butte's chicken and pork looks like red meat. Much more could be said about the Gibson family and Sugar Butte Farms, but all I can do is highly...highly recommend visiting them and trying it for yourself!

Where do I even begin? When I started my health journey, one of the first things I learned about was the differences in the way that meat (specifically chicken, as it’s my primary meat source) was produced and processed. I learned about eggs being laid from sick chickens and going through a disgusting process of being doused with chemicals and sitting on grocery store shelves for months before they came to my fridge. I searched locally to find something better. To be honest, I didn’t think I’d find anything. Marietta is a small town and tends to lean heavily into traditional mentality and farming practices. But I stumbled upon Sugar Butte Farms. I checked out their website and ordered some eggs. On my first pick up, I ended up standing outside talking to Eric for almost 2 hours about our beliefs of humane treatment of animals, healthy farming practices, and holistic topics in general. I had found my people! Kayla and Eric have busted their humps to research, research, research… an action near and dear to my heart, as we’re life long learners and evolvers. They truly, absolutely truly, care about what they’re putting into the bodies of your family, and boy does it show. I visited their farm and was even more cognizant of the blessing we have for The Gibson’s in this small town. Reach out to them, ask questions, and you’ll see for yourself why this small farm is top notch… five stars.
